Well as a fellow Gaymer and a huge MK fan I am glade to see that there is a big GLBT fan base for MK, though not surised.
Thou I love most of the MK Karators (esp up to umk3) not alot of the females grabed my attention. some of those that did where Sheeva, Sindel, Mileena, and Sonya. ( in order of fav to lest fav )
as for the males.. well ALOT of them grabed my attention

I know, it's slowed down a little bit today, but just a little. Since as a majority the females are a favorite, I wonder if they're going to have any interactions. I'd love to see how Kitana and Sonya are like together. They seemed alright in MKvDC, but I'd like to see more. Mileena and Sindel meeting each other would be interesting too. As for Rain, if he's not in the game, I'd love to at least see him in story mode, or mentioned. That'd be awesome.

Quinn
Feminine operative from the Black Dragon whom despised Sonya

Backstory
Quinn was actually supposively one of many bossed that were to be onn Mortal Kombat Special Forces but was left out due to Tobias departure. But if you look
closely in the games intro he is the shirtless guys walking beind Kano with the shades.

I just picked up where Tobias Left off and created a whole personality for the concept tell me if you like it

yes one of the things im most looking forward to is the characters interactions with eachother mainly Sindel with Kitana,Mileena,Jade,Sheeva. I really hope for dif openning intro with certain charaters aswell mostly the line "Mother your alive....Too bad you will die'' haha

I'm really curious about Sindel. She committed suicide and left Kitana all alone to be raised by a dictator in a horrible world. But when she's alive and in action, she obviously loves Kitana and can't even fight her, even if her life is at stake. I wonder what plans she had for Kitana before she killed herself, because she seems to love her daughter more than herself, and I doubt she would intentionally leave Kitana to be raised Kahn...

You know, I never thought of it, but it *would* be pretty awesome to have Sindel and Mileena meet. I can't imagine Sindel would think too highly of an evil clone of her own daughter- She might even be more disgusted than Kitana.

I'm not sure if Mileena even knew she was clone before MK2, she might have thought she was Kitana's actual sister until these events. So I wonder if she sees Sindel as her mother too. That would be interesting...

But Sindel was brainwashed for most of MK3, wasn't she? If she thought she still loved Kahn, she probably wouldn't have remembered her life with Jerrod and Kitana. Seeing Mileena and Sindel interact in the story would be pretty cool, but seeing the fight between Kitana and Sindel as Kitana tries to remind her of her true past would be really interesting...

Guess this is a bit ot, but did anyone see the tweet from Ed concerning Rain? Someone asked if he was in the game or DLC and he stated he can't answer that. I'm starting to get the feeling that Rain will be a hidden character.

That's interesting. I don't know how long Mileena was dead, but it would be an interesting twist if she helped Kahn brainwash Sindel by posing as Kitana and tricking her. I really didn't think of that...

Total gaymer here. I play Kitana pretty much exclusively in all the games.

Anyone notice how Kitana's arch is a pseudo-coming out narrative? She's "living a lie" for an untold number of years, discovers something "about herself" and her "true identity" as a Princess emerges...she fights against the patriarchal regime of her step-father to rule amid her amazonian warriors. Definitely some lesbian overtones to the whole Kitana/Jade relationship--it's certainly homosocial at the very least. :D

I said "overtones," as in, Edenia is frequently portrayed as a world of female Amazonian-esque warriors, and the Kitana+Jade friendship seems to be at the center of this common enough fantasy trope.

I'm not slashing the pair, just observing their high levels of devotion to each other. Their sexualities, hetero- or otherwise, aren't canon by any stretch. We have no indication that Kitana has even kissed Liu Kang (the offer of marriage in his MK4 ending had more of a dynastic flavor than a romantic one), and Jade's friendship with Kitana lies at the center of much of Jade's canon character development.

What's everyone's favorite boss or subboss? Mine would have to be Motaro because I love Greek mythology and he always struck me as one of the most mobile and agile bosses in Mk with his high jumps and teleports he could travel to other side of the screen, making him extremely intimidating because you couldn't play keep away well. He was also extremely hard because most projectiles were useless against him and I really like the way he was designed over all with with metal tail. Shao Kahn is a close second though, awesome specials, taunts, intimidating, and one of the best boss designs in fighting games IMO.



I haven't seen that, but I still think Rain is definitely in, probably as a hidden charcter like you said. It wouldn't be a complete cast without him being initially in game. I still think DLC is going to go primarily to characters like Tanya, Shinnok,, and a few other chracters from MK4 to help bridge the gap to the sequel for this game and one or two rumored characters.

I don't think Kitana and Jade are or were a lesbian couple because MK has always been free of homosexuality. It hardly even puts any attention on heterosexuality. It mostly sticks to good vs evil stories and issues, so I think until a character is confirmed to be gay or bi, we're just kidding ourselves or exaggerating. Plus they're always canonically described as friends, never as lovers.

Ermac being bisexual because he's a fusion of many souls, for example... Do spirits even have a sexuality? He could very well have no sex drive at all.

The one and only hint at homosexuality I can think of is when Jade says "Rain chooses his wardrobe most curiously."

So Rain is the only character that MIGHT be gay or bi, but again, that confirms nothing. All we can do is wonder.

Would be sweet as hell to have a gay character in MK though, especially RAIN of all people. He's one of the hottest men.

Now that I think about it, Johnny might be bisexual. If he thinks he's hot, then he probably thinks other cute guys are hot too. If Johnny thinks he's so attractive, would he do another hot guy like himself? Maybe, I think. Or he could just be extremely narcissistic and behaves that way just to be a cockhead. Who knows?

So if anything, I'd definitely put my money down on Rain and Johnny as possible GB characters, not Jade.

I feel that Shao Khan is bisexual, if not fully gay. I think he keeps Goro around for pleasures we may never learn of.

I also agree that Kitana should be gay. Liu Kang knows this....this is why that would never work.

Also Sheeva is fully lesbian. I stand by this!! >:O

Aside from Shao Kahn, my favorite is Kintaro. He just looks really cool, and I haven't seen any others like him
