A gay character/couple would be a bit forced/unnecessary, though it is good to entertain the idea.
So least favorite? Female, Ashrah.. i mean she's essentially sareena with a holy sword. I like the rivalry they were trying to do with Nitara though. Love Sareena, hate copies.
Male? i mean, do mokap, meat, kobra, or moloch even count?

That and Ashrah kinda looked like she had a toilet seat on her head.

Gotta admit, it's interesting to see such a large population of gays here. Maybe it's just the lower population of this forum to that of sites like Shoryuken, but the ratio of gay to straight here seem to be a bit more... lenient then that of the general populous.

On topic: In terms of relationships in game hetero or homo, if they're not heavily developed over a period of literally three-four games, they'd probably feel forced, so unless they whip out some Shelter or Save The Last Dance style romance script writing, it's probably best to just hint at the relationships. If they could handle hetero and homo relationships in an engaging and interesting way, I wouldn't be opposed to either.

Scorpion is gay, his favorite character is Sub-Zero, he loves to "spear" him.

As far as people saying there should be a gay character, I mean how would you know about it until the end anyway? fighting games don't spend a lot of time on story, although that is one thing I do love about MK is the people behind it took the time to make a story and give it a mythology, none of the japanese fighting games have a story worth spending a half of a second paying attention to. This MK is going to be like MKvDCU as far as story mode and there won't really be time to explain each fighters personal life when they are trying to save the world. If a character in MK just turned out to be gay during his ending story that's one thing but the story mode can't really have the time eaten up to get that personal with the characters IMO.

If they ever do make a gay character I hope they don't make him a stereotype and have him use pixie dust to teleport or have him dress as 1990's madonna in drag and shooting the cones from the bra as a projectile lol

I think a gay character would be better in a game like GTA where it takes a long time to tell the story and you have a lot of lines of dialogue between characters. The ballad of gay tony add on for GTA4 was really good, they included a gay main character and you played as a str8 guy who was totally cool with his bosses sexuality.

I think it's kind of funny how this thread starts this morning, and then tonight we see Justin Bieber dancing w/ MK-esque ninjas. Lol, ironic.

If there was a homosexual MK character, the best way to say he/she's gay is through actions and some dialogue. Try not to make it the main focus, and make it somewhat discrete. The major thing is to not make the character stereotypical.

That's my opinion of course.
