don't know if you all read about this or not:
Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer
Ricky Steamboat is currently in stable condition in Tampa, FL following what is believed to be a brain aneurysm. Steamboat had a surgical procedure done yesterday to determine the severity of the aneurysm. No word yet on when he will get out of the hospital but it won't be anytime soon.
Steamboat was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after having severe neck and shoulder pains. He had been in Tampa working with WWE developmental. WWE claims that Steamboat's issues have nothing to do with the angle from RAW where he was attacked by Nexus, but a lot of people in the company are nervous that the two may be related. Nexus isn't being blamed but a lot of people are unhappy about the situation.
Steamboat's son Richie put the following on his Twitter page last night.
"Keep my dad in your thoughts & prayers. The issues are worse than expected but he could be worse. God will help him through it!!!"

I really hope Steamboat comes out of this well. He was one of the very few big superstars that took real good care of his body and he's always tried his best to give back to the business that made him a successful man.
He doesn't deserve to die.

yeah i agree with both of you. just glad to know it was unrelated to what happened last week on Raw.
That fight was such a nonsense it might as well almost have been a fix. The only thing Lesnar really "did" to increase his chances of winning was get punched in the head. The reason he was able to secure such an easy arm triangle was because Carwin was absolutely exhausted. Carwin was absolutely exhausted because he had spent an entire round punching Lesnar in the head, trying to earn a TKO that the referee was never going to award him because it would be bad for business for Lesnar to lose. UFC is every bit of a bullshit promotion that every other promotion is.

Yeah I thought it was weird that the ref didn't call for the bell when Brock was getting hammered, barely defending himself.
Oh well. I'm glad Brock's still the champ though, good business indeed!

yeah read about that. Brock's being toated as "badass" cause he survived the first round. but it's good he's still the champ. wonder if it would be the same result when/if he and Carwin have a rematch?
To be clear I don't think it was bad officiating at all, I don't agree that it was bullshit. Brock was still awake, and he was moving and telling the ref not to finish it. The proof that it wasn't bullshit is that Brock went on to win the match clean.

That's not how MMA is supposed to work under the Unifed Rules of Mixed Martial Arts though. Whether he was even actually hurt is irrelevant. Under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts a fight shall be stopped if one fighter cannot intelligently defend himself. Covering up while someone pounds on your head is a type of defense, but it has never been considered "intelligent defense" in MMA, ever. The bottom line is that Brock Lesnar was not intelligently defending himself. For like... two or three minutes. Factually, the conditions were amply met for the fight to be stopped. The referee, according to Paul Heyman, made up his own rules on the night of the fight. And that is bullshit, because it's not his place to decide that fighters are going to get three chances to recover instead of one, it's the place of the state athletic commission to decide the rules and the referees to enforce them.
It simply makes a mockery of everything UFC says it stands for when the officiating appears so biased from fight to fight for their most valuable draw.
Good point, I'm not really that much into MMA or knowledgeable about the technical side of it. All I know, as a fan, is that Brock won the match because he was the best fighter. He was alive and well, I don't care if it's considered "intelligent" by whoever, Brock took a hell of a beating, came back and made Carwin tap. Better fighter, therefore still rightfully the champ.
At least I think the Ultimate Fighting Championship is supposed to crown it's champions as the best fighters, not the best guys at following the rules established by the yadda yadda yadda.
I don't mean to be offensive or anything, just saying how I see things from the point of view of someone who isn't really an MMA fan, just a guy watching some fights.
Well guys great news, my match with Cougar is now online on Youtube! That means you can watch my match whenever you feel like it! Awesome!

Anyone here that watch TNA think that the whole thing with Sting coming out and saying that "Hogan is deceiving to fans?" I actually think it's true, but I have yet to see it.
And if their are any fans, does anyone think that Abyss is going over the deep end, or is this some secret plot? And who is this "They" that he kesps talking about.

Did that one actually happen, or was it just a pun?
Anyway, i'd imagine it's the TNA invaders...
I got it from Danielson's website, www.bryandanielson.tv . He's got a couple of different t-shirt designs there.
How is it a pun? It happened in WCW, written by Vince Russo the same person who's writing the TNA bullshit right now.

IDk how it would be a pun...maybe because he's as old as sand or something, lol. I must have missed that story, lol
The angle took place in WCW. At one point, the Filthy Animals (Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Eddie Guerrero and Konnan) kidnapped Ric Flair and buried him in the desert. A couple of months later Ric Flair returned and the event was never mentioned again.
Now Samoa Joe was kidnapped months ago and then he returned and nobody mentioned the kidnapping. Same VR bullshit as usual.
