um kay! so for making a comment about Legacy being fired is being ignorant. really? that's kinda of a lame thing to say is it not?

Hm, I disagree, it's not lame at all.
It'd be "lamer" for people to lose their jobs because of the character they portray. Now that's lame.

legend_armlet probably meant the character should get fired for what they did, not the actual person(s)

Yeah... I highly doubt it, considering the rest of that person's post was highly "wrestling is dead serious stuff" in nature. I know you're a mark like that yourself, but that sort of post is what gets wrestling fans called morons more often than not.

i am a mark yes, so is the great majority of wrestling fans. and it's not like all wrestling fans have not made the occassional moronic comment as u so bluntly put it. all i can say is it was just one comment, so i don't understand you making so much fuss over it.

I see no fuss, personally.

Well, we had our webshow tapings today. Things went pretty shitty; I accidentally broke my sunglasses before the show, and I couldn't find my Decepticons wristband (I was wearing both during backstage segments filmed Saturday, so it would've been stupid if I wasn't wearing them during the actual show), our tag match which was supposed to last 8 minutes lasted 14 thanks to me, and the amplifier died halfway during the show, which meant no more music or microphone.

Regardless, it was a fun experience as always. Before the show, the entire roster and referees stood in the ring as we gave Misawa a ten bell salute, and we all wrestled with a black armband with two white Ms as a tribute to Misawa, and I also did the Tiger Driver, though it's already one of my signature moves.

RIP, Mitsuharu Misawa. What a legend, I'm so glad I got to meet him.

It was. Giving Misawa the ten bell salute and wearing the arm bands in his tribute was very emotional.
EDIT: Here's a pic of us standing in the ring right before the show, to give the ten bell salute. I'm the one in the blue tights with a red t-shirt. http://www.wrestlingportugal.com/wp/news.php

Did Orton Get Masters His Job Back?

-- Chris Masters was indeed hired back by World Wrestling Entertainment this past week. "The Masterpiece" had a meeting with Vince McMahon at the Los Angeles tapings a few weeks ago and was recommended by Randy Orton to be brought back. Many in WWE are curious as to how he will look like when he returns as it was noted that it will send a message. WWE released Masters from his contract on November 8, 2007 six days after he had been suspended for 60 days for having violated the company's drug testing policy on a second occasion. The suspension was for 60 days because he had been previously suspended on August 30, 2007 when the Signature Pharmacy scandal broke out. Shortly after his return to the ring, he was suspended for failing a drug test. Contrary to his Wikipedia bio, Masters was not suspended when he quietly taken off the road in May 2006. Masters entered a drug rehabilitation due to an issue with prescription painkillers, but it did not count as a strike against because there was no drug test failure associated with him being sent to rehab. He returned to WWE four months later with much less muscle mass, leading Jerry "The King" Lawler to refer to him as "leaner and meaner" Chris Masters.

glad to see orton get the belt back. glad to see dreamer retain his belt. a tad bit sad to see rey lose to jericho and punk retain. the whole trump thing is b.s because deep down mr m would never agree to sell raw. it's just a storyline and there only doing no comercials to improve the ratings.

tna is giving victoria a push which is cool. her name is a little weird though. tara. hopefully tna will let raven wrestle soon and we can see taz for the 1st time in tna. survive if i let you! and quote the raven nevermore!

yeah, double the shit eh!

Orton's got the fuckin' belt again, gee like nobody saw that coming i guess! though i was hoping for Trips to win. fuck, i'd love to see Orton go one on one with Big Show, there's no way he'd win.

and this stuff with Trump. i just wonder how long it'll last. this is what the news site guesses might happen:

-- There's no word yet on how long Trump's involvement with WWE will last, but it has a good chance of helping RAW's recently-soft ratings. Let the Vince/Trump 'You're Fired' storyline begin. Of course, this likely ends with Vince firing Donald. Stay tuned and expect lots of media in the coming days.

Yeah, it'd have been great to give the belt to a guy who just came back last week. That'd have been a great move. Honestly... Show deserved the belt after that match. That was an awesome match, and Show was just excellent. Really underrated guy in my opinion now, I don't remember when he put on such a good show.

RAW was actually pretty good, all the matches were great outside of Dreamer/Christian (Dreamer is just so terrible in the ring, good lord). The trump business completely ruined it for me though, that was such a let down. I sat there hoping it wasn't Ric Flair... and then it wasn't. God how I wish it had have been now.

Raw was pretty sweet yesturday.

Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio matches are always great.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. Big Show
This match was suprsingly good. Everyone looked good in this match.

Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk was also a good match.
It was also pretty sweet that Punk had Misawa's name on his arm.

on another WWE & Big Show note, seems both are in trouble with lawsuits. you can read all about it at this link, as the article is quite long:

Steps to fix Raw:

1. Add Donald Trump
2. ????
3. Profit

So it turns out Vince McMahon is an underpants gnome

Anyways, am I the only one who thinks that ever since Dreamer was put into the title picture, ECW has gone too hell? I mean, without a weapon in the guy's hand, he's just a boring face with nothing going for him. ECW has so much talent that the WWE refuses to use. Bourne, Finlay, Hart Foundation, Mark Henry, and Helms to name a few.

Dreamer needs to face Christian at The Bash (side note, wtf happened to the Great American Bash?) in an extreme rules match, and lose so that he can finally retire.

It was obvious sarcasm... Triple H doesn't deserve to be a champion after being out for 2 months and only back 1 lousy week. He doesn't deserve it anymore than Orton does.

It's a far better decision to have Orton win the title, so someone can BEAT him for the belt. That's a strong babyface, not a guy who wins a match for a vacant belt in a fatal four way.
Besides, Orton's WWE title reign was only getting started before they had Batista beat him. He needs to get a little more heat, then lose the belt in a big match to a babyface.

see Crow, what i meant was, i thought we were agreeing about Big Show should've won the title. Triple H would've been good, but i agree with you about Show in that match. there's no way Orton should've been able to beat him. the only reason Orton even scored the pin on Big Show was after Trips and Cena did the damage

any way, some backstage news on the Trump storyline:

Source: PWInsider.com

WWE kept a lot of employees in the dark about the Donald Trump angle on RAW, and the wrestlers had no idea until at least 7:00 that night. Vince told everyone he was working on a major deal, when in actuality he was working on the pre-tape of Donald Trump speaking so he could time his reactions to make it look like a live feed.

The angle with Trump, who is a long-time friend of Vince, was put together as a cross-promotion and will likely result in lots of plugs for The Apprentice on NBC. Sources within the company don’t expect the storyline to go on for too long.

I just honestly think Orton is the most boring champion in years. They can't give him clean wins ever, his matches are very boring (other than a few from before his first title reign.)

Not to mention his charisma is very forced. He's got a good look but none of the talent or flair of Cena or Batista.

Well, for one thing it was too predictable. I was pretty sure Orton would win but Trips or Cena could have as well. All I knew for sure was Show would be taking the pinfall, of course taking all 3 finishers was something else entirely.

Problem being... Show always comes off as looking weak and he really doesn't deserve that. No wonder no one can ever take him seriously... he's spent the last few months jobbing to Cena and RAW just furthered it. He never wins anything; it's hard for him to gain any credibility as a heel if he always fails to win.

Geek it makes sense that Ortan won that way it's the kind of character he is.
I really liked it when everyone was down and he looked all around to make sure of it and he capitalized on the opportunity and took advantage of it.

And about Show i still think they should have been pushin him a long time ago like they did Andre The Giant.

You want to know why Big Show doesn't get pushed?
Because he's a lousy wrestler.

The required work rate to be a legit champion these days has changed a great since the days of Andre the Giant. Being a giant and slamming everybody isn't enough, you have to be able to wrestle. And I'm sorry, I can't get behind a guy who can't even fucking run the ropes.
I'm not taking anything away from Big Show- FOR HIS SIZE, he's a good athlete, and he's a solid wrestler. But being decent for your size just doesn't cut it.
I agree on one thing: Giant monsters NEED to be world champions, at least once. To give credibility to the title and to wrestling. That's why I had no problems at all when Khali won the belt. It was only for a couple of months, and he was over as a heel, so hell yeah it was a good move.
Show's won a bunch of world titles, now it's time to put people over. There's only so much you can do with a guy like that; if he just kept coming out and destroying people he would get (even more) boring, fast.

Yeah, except you forgot one thing.

Cena and Batista are lousy wrestlers too. Cena tries and he isn't really as bad as most say he is, but Batista is not very good in the ring at all. He has such a limited moveset, and I'm truly convinced it is smaller than Show's. Maybe he's a little faster, but who cares? He's still crap in the ring and WWE hands him the belt all the time. Show is a better worker than Cena or Batista in my opinion, who are both quite boring to watch because all their matches have the exact same formula 95% of the time.

And I disagree about one reign being enough for giants. To put people over you first need credibility. Look what has happened to Kane... he's been off TV for quite a while now and from what I read he is not injured. Creative has nothing to do with his character, nowhere to go. Why is that? It's because of all that jobbing he's done... he can no longer really play a monster heel effectively because he's never even had one solid title reign other than ECW and even that wasn't great. If Show keeps jobbing, this will be happening to him as well.

Monster heels are hard to do in the first place because they can't just squash people on RAW every week and then have big matches once a month. It just doesn't work, if Kane, Big Show and Khali hadn't jobbed out they'd be even more boring.

And Batista and Cena are both better wrestlers than Big Show, you can believe that. Batista's faster, looks good, doesn't do retarded big man moves (like Show's fantastic headbutts) and his selling is pretty good too. Oh, and he's over?
Cena can actually jump. That's pretty rad.
