Breaking News: Jeff Hardy Expected To Sign TNA Contract Today:
Sources close to TNA have informed us that they have been recently discussing a contract offer with Jeff Hardy, and it is rumored to be a one-year deal.
It is said that negotiations are going well, with Hardy asking the company for some stipulations for his contract. One of those is having TNA help push Hardy's band, Peroxywhy?gen. On a side note, Shannon Moore is a part of the band, on programming and background vocals.
As of right now the feeling is that both sides will come to an agreement, and Jeff Hardy will become a regular for TNA.
It is expected that the deal will be done by the end of the day due to the company promoting Jeff for the PPV tonight, according to PWInsider.com.
Interesting Chavo Classic News, RAW/Smackdown:
WWE plans on taping RAW and Smackdown episodes once every three months or so overseas. The decision is mainly a convenience for scheduling so that WWE will be able to run a week's worth of shows overseas without having to worry about rushing back to the U.S. for RAW and Smackdown TV events. WWE makes a whole lot of money when running shows overseas, and there is some thought that this could help the company's overall revenue. The first overseas RAW and Smackdown will take place this October in the United Kingdom.
From what we've heard, Eddie and Chavo Guerrero did not put up a fight to save Chavo Classic's job back when he was fired a few weeks ago. Chavo had told many friends that he was rejecting humiliating storylines, though we have heard otherwise. According to sources, Chavo actually did not turn down any storylines, and used his claim to cover-up the fact that he was fired due to no-showing two straight events. We'll have more on this tomorrow morning.
Chavo Classic Claims He Was Drugged Up & Robbed; Details:
As reported over the past few weeks, Chavo Classic had been telling people that he left the WWE because he had been mad at the storylines they were trying to get him to do, and that they weren't treating him like a legendary wrestling on TV.
Here's a story that has not yet been reported. When WWE company officials finally got in contact with Chavo after he no-showed the St. Louis and Springfield house shows, Chavo claimed that he was drugged and robbed, which was why he was out of contact with the company. The story that he gave was that he had gotten a $6,500 check and then went out to El Paso to celebrate, before being drugged and rolled.
Given Chavo's past track record, management did not buy the story at all due to the fact that Chavo had been totally out of contact for two straight days. Also, the fact that he had never told this story to anyone else after being fired may indicate that they are correct in their assumptions. A funny story nonetheless.

Confirmed: Ken Shamrock On TNA PPV & TV This Week:
Ken Shamrock confirmed on the internet audio program WrestleZone Radio his appearance on the NWA-TNA pay-per view tomorrow night, as well as the Impact! TV tapings the following day for their FOX Sports Net TV show scheduled to air on Friday.
Lita's Baby, Rikishi On Thin Ice, Jackqueline Released:
Jacqueline has officially been released from The WWE. It appears that she was actually let go a few weeks ago.
Rikishi is still under contract to the WWE, but he still has a great deal of heat with upper management after he appeared on his relative Afa's show while he was rehabbing from an injury, but told the WWE is still unable to appear on a show for them. There are rumors that a roster spot may not be waiting for Rikishi when he returns (The same as Scott Steiner).
The Lita pregnancy angle at this point is expected to last the full 9 months, but things can always change within the WWE.
DDP Update, Rock/Regis, Kurt Angle; & More:
The Rock will be a guest on Live With Regis And Kelly this Friday, July 2nd. Check your local listings to find out when the show will air in your area.
There is an article in the Fayetteville Observer, with an article about a promotional appearance by Kurt Angle yesterday to promote the Smackdown taping last night. To read the story, head on over to FayettevilleNC.com.
We have heard that Diamond Dallas Page will be appearing in Rob Zombie's latest horror movie, House of 1000 Corpses 2: The Devils Rejects. Bloody-disgusting.com has posted a picture of DDP from the set of the movie, with long hair and a beard.

Hey, where is everyone today???? Me and another person are the only two to post today. Any way, I read the spoilers for Smackdown for tomorrow, fuck, what a crappy show, I'm glad I ain't gonna watch it for awhile. I won't say much except that Mordecai loses his first match, that's right, Mordecai loses! He sure sucks in my opinion.

It's against Rey Mysterio so I think it wouldn't be good for Mordecai to beat Mysterio. Anyway, I don't see a reason for putting Mordecai compete with a cruiserweight but WWE doesn't seem to make sense anymore, at least in the SmackDown! brand.
On a side note I was watching today a taped tag-team titles match between Owen Hart / British Buldog VS Stone Cold Steve Austin / Shawn Michaels and I was amazed at the quality and pace of the match. Wow, I wish they had matches like these nowadays...

Yeah I long for those wrestling days. Back when the only thing going on was the wrestling, not the ridiculous crap that sometimes graces our screens. BTW, I think the reason the WWE put Mordecai in the ring with Mysterio is the lack of credible talent on the show. I like Mysterio and all, and it's funny he beat Mordecai (cause Mordecai blows badly), but come on, I can only take so much. Thank God for Raw.

Even with all the fualts of RAW, it is still better than Smackdown. I dunno, they need to fire the creative team and start from scratch. That is the only way to get new ideas flowing.

They've been pushing Rey Rey to wrestle bigger opps, or at least that's what I've seen and have been reading. I like the move, actually. I remember when Rey beat Nash and Lex, lol. That shit was pimp.

Rey Mysterio Vs Mordecai should be interesting match. sence I didn't see the Great American Bash, I could finally see Mordecai in an actual competitve wrestling match against Mysterio. They should push Mordecai in the US Title Division. He would make a pretty cool US Champion.
As for SmackDown!, it looks like a good show I guess. either way I'll be watching for the Undertaker/Heyman storyline and to see how JBL does as Champion.
Spoilers ahead....
In two weeks its going to be JBL Vs Eddie in a Cage Match for the WWE Title. That should be something to look foward to!

Mordecai for the US Title?! I don't see that as a good idea but who am I to tell...
I think Mordecai if properly used to be a great character. I'm not sure about Kevin Fertig's wrestling technique (I haven't seen him that much, only on Judgment Day which was a pretty bad match) but I guess he can manage if he's in the WWE...

Just calm down people, the rain will clear to open a sunny sky once again..

True. But that is when they had competition to help get the creative juices flowing again. This time around, they have none of that. Nothing to push them towards putting out a better product. Im going to keep watching,(Raw at least) but I see no sign of it getting that much better any time soon.

True, but even tho there is no competition, they still can do the same things.
They need to elevate a few ppl perhaps, to be the next Rock and Stone Cold... Cena, RVD, etc could easily be that person...
Plus, someday, Austin and a few others will return, which will shift the spotlight once again...
Time is all they need, Vince knows what he's doing, for the most part, just have some faith young skywalker..
ps - yes out of the two shows, I gotta say Raw is by far the better show..if Smackdown was live then it would perhaps have more engery behind it..

True again. But they just tried that.
JBL? No. And I see no one really on the Raw roster that they could elevate like a Rock or Stone Cold.
Cena and RVD yes I could see them someday but they are SD.

I know what you meant.
Cena I can see cuz he is way over and has great mic skills.
Orton is over as a good heel, still needs to practice some more in the ring, but I can see him up there.
Batista. No mic skills. Monster in the ring tho. Gonna take alot to get him to higher status.
Benjamin is the best in the group you named. He is a natural in the ring when you watch him. He has good mic skills too.
Lets just hope McMahon reads this

I do hope it gets better and it's just a low point for WWE. I've only been watching it regularly since January, we didn't have wrestling shows on Portuguese TV for 6 years or close to that, I only used to watch WCW Nitro on TNT but I didn't like WCW that much to be honest...
As for what is being discussed currently I would only really see Batista and Orton as guys who could make it big. Orton has everything in my opinion, he's young - which means he can improve -, he looks good in the ring, he's not bad on the mic; Batista is an animal... if he could talk, he would rule.

Shelton Injury Update, WWE Diva Search Special:
The WWE Diva Search will end with a special on July 15th on UPN to crown the winner of the search.
Shelton Benjamin is still out of action with a broken bone in his hand, which was suffered during a RAW match with Garrison Cade. Cade is known as a clumsy wrestler in some locker room circles, though there is no heat on Cade for the injury that took place.
Rock Update, RAW/SD Presidents, New Developmental Territory; More:
E! is planning three different shows on Rock over the next few months. They are "It's good to be...", "The High Price of Fame" and "E! True Hollywood Story."
WWE will be running angles on TV which will elect presidents of RAW and Smackdown, to lead up to the presidential elections this fall.
For the past few months, WWE has been thinking about expanding their developmental operation beyond Ohio Valley Wrestling. There is some thought of using WWE's Trax training center in Connecticut as a home for another developmental territory, and they are hoping they can find a promotion based out of New England that could offer them developmental wrestlers, and a telivision timeslot.
T.J. Wilson recently had a private workout with WWE officials during WWE's last swing in Canada. The workout was arranged by Chris Benoit. Harry Smith (Davey Boy's son and Wilson's tag-team partner) was told by Vince McMahon that if he attends college, he will have a job in WWE waiting at his doorstep.
Major Scott Steiner Update, Test, Eugene/Blonde Girlfriend:
The blonde girl in the front row of RAW's Bad Blood PPV who handed the stuffed animal to Eugene, was actually Nick Dinsmore's girlfriend.
As of right now, Test is perfectly healthy and ready for an in-ring return. WWE creative is simply not choosing to use Test at this time, which is the reason for his continuous abscence on RAW.
This week it was officialy decided that Scott Steiner will not be brought back to the WWE. Following his hip flexor injury, the decision had been made not to offer Steiner a new contract when his deal expired in October or November, so there had been no point in pushing him on TV. There had been some question as to whether they would bring him back to do a few jobs on PPV, or just not use him then, and the decision came to the latter.
Chavo Classic/TNA, Bradshaw/CNBC, Tajiri News; More:
Tajiri recently spent a week in Japan with his wife, who just gave birth. We would like to congratulate to Tajiri and his family. For those of you who are not aware, Tajiri's first child passed away shortly after being born.
The night after CNBC fired John Bradshaw Layfield, Bradshaw was reportedly in a good mood and even joking about the situation. Vince McMahon remains very supportive of Bradshaw and realizes that, good or bad, press is press. Bradshaw recently told the Washington Post that his character is modeled against Pat Buchanan's presidential campaigns. CNBC had actually told Bradshaw that the only character he could never play in wrestling was the role of a stock market cheater.
Since Chavo Guerrero's firing from WWE, he has made one phone call to TNA asking if there was interest in using him for their PPVs. It is believed, though, that he has not followed up on the original phone call. Many people in TNA were discussing it, but except for the fact that Chavo is coming right off WWE TV, there is feeling that he would not be of much value in the company with the direction that they seem to be taking.
Confirmed Matches For Thursday's SmackDown!

Paul Bearer: Dead Or Alive? Update:
The following is from the newly updated "biography" of William A. Moody a.k.a. "Paul Bearer" or "Percy Pringle" -- from the man's Web site:
I worked for the Jarretts Nashville based NWA-TNA organization during late 2002, and early 2003. Then after a couple of weeks of negotiations and prayer, I signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment on October 3, 2003. Making my first appearance back on WWE television on March 14, 2004 at WRESTLEMANIA-XX. Reuniting with my long-time business associate The Undertaker at Madison Square Garden. I proved that kayfabe is still alive and well for 5-months, as my return wasnt leaked to the dirt sheets until 7-days prior to my reappearance. Of course if you asked me, I was in denial until the moment the pay-per-view audience around the world heard that first chilling gong in The Undertakers entrance music.
On Sunday, June 27, 2004, at THE WWE GREAT AMERICN BASH - PPV, at The Scope Coliseum, in Norfolk, Virginia. The Undertaker himself, destroyed The WWE Character Paul Bearer. Paul's body was encased in a glass crypt, filled with concrete for eternity. Thus ended the 13-year relationship between The "Dead Man", and his confidant. It has been said that Paul Bearer, was The Undertaker's only weakness, in the fact that his feelings for him demonstrated what remained of "The Phenom's" mortality.
Or Is Paul Bearer Still Alive?
Gary Davis (WWE Vice President, Corporate Communications) sent out the following:
"Last night's 'Concrete Crypt Match' was similar in concept to the "Buried Alive" matches of the past. No one was murdered. After the The Great American Bash Pay-Per-View went off the air, the crowd at The Scope in Norfolk saw Paul Bearer come up for air and then placed on a stretcher to receive "medical attention." There will be an update on Paul Bearer on this Thursday's WWE SmackDown! Stay tuned."
This seems to indicate that WWE will swing this into Bearer not being dead afterall.

You know, the many ways both John Cena and Randy Orton are developing are eerily similar to the way both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin did.
The Rock - He debuted in 1996 as a lovable, fan-favorite babyface to the extreme. Is a third-generation wrestler. Becomes the intercontinental champion at a young age. The fans didn't buy into it. He gets injured, is out for awhile, comes back with a new heel persona, joins a heel faction, and his career takes off.
Randy Orton - Debuted in 2002 as a lovable, fan-favorite. The fans didn't buy into it. Is a third-generation wrestler. Orton suffers a shoulder injury. Comes back with a new heel persona, becomes IC champ at a young age, joins a heel faction and HIS career takes off.
Coincedence? Maybe, maybe not.
Stone Cold Steve Austin - He debuted in 1995. He had a go nowhere gimmick as "The Ringmaster." Someone up top decides that the best way to get Steve Austin over is to let him be himself. So they do that and the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gimmick is born. The gimmick is that of a badass, texas redneck. It works because that is Austin personality with teh volume turned up. The plan is for him to be a full-fledged heel. He is more violent than any heel before him, but over time people begin to cheer more and more. No matter what Austin did fans cheer him for it. So the fans make the decision for WWE and turn Austin face.
John Cena - Debuted in 2003. Wrestled in OVW with another failed gimmick known as "The Prototype." He gets a shot to be on SmackDown! and he does well for awhile, but WWE management decided that the best way to let John Cena get over is to be himself. So knowing that Cena has a rap background they give him a rap gimmick. It works because Cena is not portraying a rapper, he IS a rapper and is combining that with his wrestling persona. Like Austin, Cena starts off as a full-fledged heel and little by little the fans get on the Cena bandwagon. Now no matter what Cena does the fans love it.
Random luck? Or is there something behind all of this?
I wouldn't say gave him the rap gimmick as much as they overheard him freestyling with rikishi and rey and asked him if could do on shows. I remember some sort of interview where he said something like that.
If I'm wrong, my bad.
