folks, you should check this article out, it's kinda interesting:
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/wrestling/blog/2008/10/meet_tnas_biggest_star_vince_mcmahon.html
and since nobody brought it up, has anyone played the TNA game, what's everyone's thoughts on that?

I can't give you my thoughts on this first version. Perhaps in future titles.
Seriously though, that game is abysmal. It looks like King of Colosseum and plays worse than WCW backstage assault. With fewer moves. It's the worst pro wrestling game since WCW Nitro, except I actually enjoyed playing that for a while. It's pretty crazy the way they released such a horribly shoddy game and then justified it by saying that the next one will be better. Wtf Midway? It's like buying terrible car from a salesyard and then being told that your car is indeed a piece of shit but the next one you buy there will be better. As a consumer I want to buy a product that's good this time around, seeing as how, you know, I'm paying for it and everything. Like I've never heard of a developer doing that before. I don't know what's more ridiculous, Midway thinking they can get away with it to begin with, or Midway almost actually getting away with it because Western videogame consumers are halfwits who'll buy anything that 'has good graphics.'
In light of the sheer suckitude of this game I am forced to use this emoticon for the first time ever...
indeed.

ROFL!! so you liked it then!
I've been playing the TNA game on PS2.
That means I don't even have CAW.
A pro wrestling game. 2008. No CAW.
Right.
Well to be honest the game isn't as bad as I thought it was, but it does suck a lot.
I really don't see why the Steiner Recliner gets a three count into the submission, as if it was a pinning move.

I've heard the game has tons of potential, but that's about all that it's got going for it. The reversal system looks very fluid. Graphics look good(although I think they put too many people in the crowds **ZING**). I think I may try it whenever there's a price drop, but i'm not interested in picking it up at full price.

Yeah but, he has spent so much time in the WWE and has had many memories there and now he leaves the WWE for some low budget XFL (also a failure) wrestling. Screw Foley!!! I'm glad Edge broke him through the table the last time he was on Smackdown. Mick Foley was a loser anyway, and he would never win a match. As the Rock (the great one) would say you can take that sock you call Mr. Socko and shove it up your candy ass! I hope Foley never comes back. Besides if he does he'll just keep getting his ass kicked!!!!!!!

yeah see, cause Midway was so freakin lazy with this first game, we'll have to wait til the second game to get anything. i mean, fuck, they miss so many of the key elements that make up a good wrestling game, saying in interviews "gee, that sounds swell, we may just add that into the next game!" i mean for christ's sake, why was it not in the first game? shows that perhaps Midway should just stick to fighting games and leave Wrestling games to THQ

Well, here's my take on everything...
TNA Impact!: The Game
I've been playing this on 360 since it came out, and I, for one, am pretty impressed with it. Yes, it does need a lot of work and those will more than likely be fixed in future titles in the series. The reversal system plays really well, and is really fluid in its execution. The CAW leaves a bit to be desired in the clothing department as well as the moveset, but again, this will more than likely be fixed with DLC on Xbox Live and PS3. The story was really good, and I like how they're taking that and integrating it with the on-camera s/l of Suicide. I can't wait to see how that will play out.
Mick Foley leaving WWE and joining TNA:
Honestly, Mick Foley has nothing left to prov to himself of the fans anymore. He's damn near done it all, and I respect the fact that he stood up to Vinnie Mac and jumped ship to TNA. He doesn't look ike he's going to have a major wrestling angle which will be good for the new guys. I hope they use him as a manger/OCCASIONAL wrestler like they're doing with Kevin Nash right now.
Jeff Hardy vs. HHH last night at No Mercy:
I swear to God, my friends and i were ready to riot in the streets after Hardy lost last night. But this might be good in the long run. If they keep this "feud" between HHH and Hardy going, Jeff Hardy will have the WWE Championship going into 2009. I'm calling right now for a Survivor Series win for Hardy for the strap.
Batista needs to drop out of the title picture for AT LEAST 6 months, so the fans won't boo him whenever he gets a clean win over a heel star. This is getting retarded, imo.
Evan Bourne is ready for the spotlight on Monday nights. Transfer him over there and get him and Mysterio in line for a Tag-Team Championship shot sometime in the future after their program with Punk and Kofi is over.

From this post, Moron's the right answer I guess. (MORON HATOR).
I don't see anything IMPRESSIVE about TNA. It has potential but that's far from being impressive. When you have Smackdown! vs RAW 2009 coming out real soon and looking absolutely amazing with tons of modes and features and you buy a game that has zero extra features, I don't know how you can feel even slightly impressed.
Oh, and Hardy's not going to beat Triple H for the WWE title. Probably not winning the WWE title ever. But if he DOES win the world title, it wont be from Triple H right now that's for sure.

very close, like probably a small percentage
Yeah it is more logical but wrestling fans aren't much in the way of logical.
I remember the first ever Taboo Tuesday. Triple H and Shawn Michaels had already finished up their feud with their hell in a cell match, and they had already had tons of matches against each other. Michaels was badly injured. And it was obvious that he wasn't going to beat Triple H for the title.
But still, everyone voted for him.
