**Votes Honkey Tonk Man**

I'm surprised WWE hasn't started some kind of tie in between this and the actual election...seems like a missed opportunity. Or maybe they have, I havn't watched in a couple of weeks.

I seriously hope Honky Tonk gets voted in, it would be far more interesting than Roddy Piper.

It's so sad to see how crappy Cyber Sunday has become. It's never been too good, but so far this seems to be the most predictable and insulting cyber themed WWE PPV yet.

i'm just pissed that WWE decided that they'd only let fans vote by text, do away with online voting! worst yet, it's only open to the US! i mean, wtf WWE? way to show some respect to the rest of your fucking fans! furious

Yeah, something tells me they're not gonna have a lot of votes to brag about this time around.

Crow- Goldust is great and all, but honestly, Honkey Tonk Man is the perfect pick for this match. I pray the whole "honk a meter" thing gets fans intrigued enough to bring him in, and honestly, this pay per view NEEDS Honky Tonk Man grin

News:

Kelly Kelly will indeed be the WWE Diva posing for Playboy Magazine this year. Maria recently spoke about it in an interview and the plan after WrestleMania earlier this year was for Kelly to be the one and we haven't heard any changes since then.

The belief going around TNA is that Mick Foley has a six-month deal with TNA. At this point, there are no plans etched in stone for Foley to actually wrestle and if he does, he definitely won't be wrestling on a regular basis.

Jeff Jarrett has always been against adding new Championships in TNA, feeling that the more titles there are, the more they work against the actual value of the titles. However, there is a plan right now to add another singles title sometime in the near future. In the past, there was talk of an X Division Tag Team Champion but that idea was shot down.

There have been some pretty massive changes in the original scripts that have been written for RAW and SmackDown and what actually ends up on TV. The creative team usually scripts both shows along with finishes on Friday, then presents them to Vince McMahon. Sometimes Vince will rubber stamp them but as of late, the finished product after Vince's changes is completley changed from what they had before. It's always been that Vince's decisions always end up being what's went with, regardless of who came up with the idea first, but it seems lately that's how things are working more than usual.

Mexican wrestler and CMLL Heavyweight Champion Dos Caras Jr. announced that he was signing with WWE over the weekend and would be wrestling his final matches in Mexico over the next few weeks. He won't be finishing up in Mexico with the CMLL promotion because of a fall-out between the two sides that he says is not his fault.

Caras is upset that CMLL didn't come him to talk about staying once rumors got out of WWE having interest. Caras said CMLL is having major problems right now and thought it was hilarious that CMLL was worried he was going to take their Heavyweight title to WWE with him.

It was reported last month that Caras Jr., the nephew of legend Mil Mascaras, was going to sign a three-year deal with WWE along with his cousin El Sicodelico Jr. Caras Jr. had a WWE tryout match against Snitsky back in July and it was reported then that he turned down WWE's offer for a deal when they wanted to bring him to Florida to teach him the American style of wrestling. Caras Jr. also has some MMA experience.

wow firesnake, good find, lots of good news there. don't really care about the whole CMLL stuff, i've not heard of the guy any way, so could care less. i'd like to see TNA add another title, like a 'TV' Title or something along those lines

Got even more news for yall.

Vince McMahon wants the WWE Superstars to become better actors and improve on filming their backstage segments. Vince is also talking about wanting a more realistic style in the ring. Norman Smiley was hired at WWE developmental and told he was being brought in because of his background in the more realistic Japanese style of wrestling. WWE doesn't want moves and blows that look like they miss and are still sold. They also want to bring back a more realistic feel to the matches and have less light showing in the moves done.

WWE officials have gone back and forth for over a year now on the concept of the knockout finish, which we saw at No Mercy with Big Show and The Undertaker. Obviously they are trying it out but if it doesn't get over it will probably not be used anymore. Earlier in the year when the company was making the move over to HD, they were wanting to make sure everything looked solid on TV because HD would make missed spots more obvious.

Yeah I think wrestling in general needs more TKO's. It's always been part of pro wrestling's rules. It's realistic, it makes sense, and it's another way to build high spots. I can't understand why more wrestlers and promotions outside of shoot style guys aren't utilising the concept.

I think it's an interesting concept, but it's hard to do, that's for sure.

As for the Kelly Kelly thing, just goes to show how reliable the internet can be.

I think TNA has the right amount of titles right now, they're just not doing a good at booking the title feuds. But that's TNA in general. It certainly doesn't need a new title.
Getting away from Cyber Sunday which I couldn't get tickets for in my home town oh well. Anyways I wanna talk about Booker T I think its retarded how he's saying hes from Africa. I mean In WCW he was from Harlem New York ala Harlem Heat then his hometown of Houston now Africa God I hate Booker T now thanks a lot WWE for ruining his character.

I wouldn't say they ruined his charactar, hell, he's even brought elements of what wwe did over to TNA. I've never been much of a fan to be honest. He seems like a good guy, but he just gives off that whole "I could be doing something else right now" vibe, if you get what I mean.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Jack Burton agrees with you; however, I feel it was a bit of a bad idea to have the guinea pig be the Undertaker of all people.

I watched the match and found it farfetched for him to be knocked out. Granted, I'm an Undertaker fan through and through, so my opinion is obviously biased. But to have him lose in that sort of fashion just seems to clash with his entire "Deadman" gimmick. Now, if Big Show had pinned him instead, I would have found that more realistic than a knockout in the fashion we all saw. I think my bias here is also because of all the years of cheap and stolen victories from Undertaker; hardly anyone ever seemed to secure a clean win against him, so a win like that just doesn't strike me as believable. I can't help but feel like WWE creative hits some sort of "writer's block" or "road block" when it comes to thinking of logical ways for him to cleanly lose.

Does anyone else feel this way?

I guess it depends on how you see the Undertaker. Is his gimmick of a regular guy who uses a lot of theatrics to simulate some kind of undead gimmick to get into people's heads, or is his gimmick that he's actually undead? Who knows. WWE doesn't seem to because they can't make up their minds. Provided he's actually a mixed martial arts competing zombie biker cowboy mortician pro wrestler pirate ninja pokemon then yeah, being KO'd doesn't make much sense, but if he's just regular guy who plays mindgames then its perfectly logical.

Stupid fucking gimmick imo. I wish he'd finish his career out as his American Badass gimmick. But I can see why WWE wouldn't do that with him.

yes i do, i thought it was stupid to have Taker lose in such a fashion, and i'm not biased! i mean for god's sake they talk about him being "the best pure striker" in the business and he loses the fucking match to Big Show by knock-out! how does that not make him look weak compared to Show? was this done to hurt Taker, or done as a way to take away from the fact that Show lost by "KO" to that pissant Mayweather at Mania?

well i agree that i'd like to see the return of the 'Badass' gimmik again, i kinda like the way Taker is now.

and to subzeroisgod, you can vote for Golddust if ya want, but i'm voting for the more logical choice in HTM

Former WWE Superstar Scott Hall was arrested for "going nuts" on a comedian at tonight's roast for The Iron Sheik. The comedian made a joke in bad taste regarding the late Owen Hart. The roast is still going on right now in New Jersey. Jimmy Graham, a comedian who has wrestled in the past, made a remark to Bill Apter saying, "Bill Apter, you're deader than Owen Hart."

Hall, who had drank heavily through the evening, charged the banquet table to go after Graham and started throwing punches at him. Hall grabbed the mic from Graham and started yelling about how he was disrespecting Owen Hart.

So I'm confused, is rehab just like a spa treatment where you don't do anything for 9 weeks and then you get to say you're sober.

And not to say he was completely wrong, the joke was indeed in bad taste. But to be honest....all roasts' jokes are in bad taste, that's kinda the point.

true, but being that the "comedian" was a "former wrestler", he should've fucking known better than to say something so stupid. i watched the video and to see him sit there and pretend that he did nothing wrong was pathetic. and damn if the guy didn't look like KK Bundy

More on the story.

Our original story on Scott Hall last night was breaking news and when items like that come out, details sometimes are incorrect. The original story, from Dave Meltzer, noted that the joke made by comedian Jerry Graham about the late Owen Hart was directed to Bill Apter. Comedian Ryan Maher, who was at the roast, posted a blog on MySpace talking about what happened at the show. According to Maher, Hall got pissed off after Graham said, "When the Iron Sheik got pulled over and arrested on the Jersey Turnpike his career fell harder and faster then Owen Hart." Regardless of what the guy said, it was horrible and way out of line. He definitely had it coming to him, if not worse.

His career fell fast? His career fell hard? Neither of those statements really make much sense literally or colloquially. If that's what he said word for word then it sounds like he was just trying to jam the Owen Hart joke in there for the sake of bringing up Owen Hart's death. Which is lame.

lol Hall. Kind of over the top to bum rush the guy for a shitty joke. But I can't say I'd care if Hall knocked his teeth out.
