PS: Were you glad when Triple H was Drafted to SmackDown?
Orton: "I was at the Draft (on June 23) after I got hurt. I was in the locker room watching the backstage monitor. I was hoping to get traded (from Raw to SmackDown). Actually, it's funny because Umaga just got traded to SmackDown. He was like, "Man, you know what? At least I haven't got to be around Triple H no more." So (Umaga) goes to SmackDown and I'm like, "Yeah ... F--k you!" The last Draft pick's Triple H and I'm like (punches the air), "Yes! Oh, my God!" Yes, yes, yes!" I went right up to Umaga and I was, like, "You've got to deal with it now!" It was my favourite Draft pick, to be honest with you. And we got Rey Mysterio, we got Kane, Batista. I've got history with those guys."
Aha, nobody likes the H.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."
Say what you will about Orton, but the man has balls.

Ol' Jack Burton is a wrestling fan himself, so he thought he might start commenting on this thread...
Truth be told, though, my interest in pro wrestling has greatly diminished. The only reason I watch anymore is to see The Undertaker. Hell, Kane is my second favorite and I barely watch his matches nowadays. I've made my mind up that when the Taker is done for real, I'm done watching. Simple as that...
As for my thoughts on Batista, he's okay...I can't believe he's upset over the push WWE is giving him...for a long while, I thought they were giving him the damn title WAY too much, but seeing as how McMahon is doing practically anything to keep him happy, I guess I'm not surprised.
Jake the Snake IS pathetic...I didn't even know he still wrestled. They need to force him to retire; he's just embarrassing himself. Granted, he's always had his demons, but now...I'd say he's a lost cause.
Mick Foley on TNA??? You have got to be kidding...wow. So much for his commentator spot of SmackDown.
I don't know if this was talked about, but Orton was actually in a motorcycle accident that reinjured...I think it was his shoulder, or whatever it was that he injured to begin with...so that's why he isn't in the ring just yet. I don't think he's been cleared to wrestle as of yet, but they obviously need him around to stir up trouble to hype his in-ring return.
And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.
The only reason Triple H went to smackdown is to be closer to stephanie.
that i could believe! and to Jack Burton, hopefully we'll see mor of u around here dude, it's always nice to meet more wrestling fans on this board, even if they're only part-time fans
What have i missed?

Ol' Jack really appreciates that, man. Hell, maybe this wrestling thread might serve to reignite my overall interest in wrestling. I can see that happening. I'm quite familiar with a LOT of other guys besides Undertaker...
I must say, reading through pages upon pages of this thread (yeah, I actually did), I'm quite amazed at how much you all know. I feel I'm FINALLY in a place where the people I'm with are more knowlegable than myself, and that's a good thing. I can't wait to see the future posts in this thread. I will do my very best to contribute a good opinion or two when I can.

i feel the same as u do. it's hard going from forum to forum and actually finding wrestling fans that have a clue as to what they're talking about. on this site and also Gamespot as well, there's alot of very educated and knowledgeable fans (Zentile i'm looking at u bra!), but i find that the official Playstation forums, though, really lack in that department. also, just want to say, Smackdown looks interesting this week. i just read the spoilers before i came here, and the show looks good.
Melvin sent word that Scott Steiner returned to the ring at yesterday's PTW Wrestling show in Belleville, MI at the Diamondback Saloon. Steiner teamed with his TNA associate, Petey Williams in a tag match. Other names on the show included James Storm, Abyss, Robert Roode and Eric Young. Steiner has been out of action since June of this year after having surgery on a torn ACL in his knee.
Steve Austin is expected to make his WWE TV return after the No Mercy PPV to begin promotion for his Cyber Sunday appearance. WWE creative team loves the idea of pairing Vince with Austin, which again may suggest his return to television tonight or next month.
Kevin Nash's profile has been removed from the TNA website. The URL of his profile features the "You are not authorized to view this resource." line, which is what happens when a page is removed from the website. Reportedly, Nash re-signed with TNA last week. Reader Busterup also sent word that referee Shane Sewell has been added to the roster page while Moose Knuckles has also been removed.

so wait, is Nash with TNA or not? cause this seems rather odd! and let's hope that the "Glamour Boy" Shane Sewell will make a full time wrestler.
It looks like WWE's DVD on WCW Starrcade is back on. This is from Jim Ross at jrsbarbq.com:
Just spent most of the day Monday (these 4 a.m. wake up calls are killing me) working on an upcoming Starrcade DVD and hosting the final, top 5 bouts in Starrcade history for WWE 24/7.
Also, Danielson won the GHC Jr Hvy title from Kanemaru and Low Ki won the IWGP Jr Hvy title from Tiger Mask. Uncanny that two gaijin Jrs hold gold in NOAH and NJ. Would have been great if Sabin had won the AJ Jr Hvy title from Nakajima at the same time.
PS: Fuck you TNA. Haw haw haw.

SOO GRATE. I <3 Starrcade.

I forgot to mention that, it's great for The American Dragon that he won and wonder how long NOAH is gonna let him keep it.
He also is going for the ROH title when ROH comes here to chicago.
It'll be awesome if we was the first ever 2 time ROH champion and NOAH champion but I doubt it will happen but we'll see.

Great for Dragon! I'm always happy whenever my man Am Drag gets gold.

that's cool, and it's about time that WWE recognizes some of the contributions that WCW made. and i've never seen much of Starrcade, so i'll be adding this dvd to my collection for sure

Maybe this will make up for:
The New Blood
Ending Bret Harts Career
Goldberg (Despite teh fact that i like him)
The "Finger Poke Of Doom"
The Shockmaster
Introduction of Dustin Rhoads being anything but Goldust
Nash being a Dick as Creative Writer/booker (W/e the fuck he was)
The Alliance To End Hulkamania
Destroying Mr. Perfects Reputation (Come on, seriously...Country star?)
The introduction of the "Gay Couple" Gimmick (Lodi and that other guy..Yeah, i could believe it, but still)
Bringing back that Crazy Fucker the Ultimate Warrior (Even i as a Warrior fan knew that was a bad idea)
David Arquet as champ...
The list goes on...Man, WCW really did have it's fuck ups
Wow WCW ended Bret Hart's career, that's a first.
Correct answer= Goldberg's foot.
hm, i think Zent was being sarcastic, but none the less, i think it's foolish to put the blame squarely on Goldberg, hell, even Bret doesn't put the blame fully on him, he blames the cumilation of years of physical abuse he suffered as a wrestler, and not taking proper care of himself. i think the thing with Goldberg was just an accident, and can't be looked upon as the reason Bret retired. also i think he was pissed at the direction he was going in WCW. so as Faith_No_More pointed out, WCW fucked up Curt Hennig's career, but also didn't help Bret's out either
