I like the new ECW title belt though. The old one was a really subtle design, almost like an 'old school' belt, except it didn't have old school history behind it to justify it's simplicity like the NWA title belt does. So essentially it was a boring looking modern belt with a stupid barbed wire gimmick. Lame. The new one is far more interesting, and looks less like the intercontinental title belt or something. Side note: If you haven't seen it yet, check out the new 4th gen IWGP Heavyweight Title belt, and be sure to scroll down to see it from different angles. The most amazing belt I've ever seen, honest to God it looks like it should be on display at an art gallery. So fucking awesome how it has past title holders names on the side and everything.


Anyway, if I still watched lots of WWE I wouldn't be too concerned about them making their shows more kiddy friendly.

Yeah... no. Probably what it means is less shitty sex appeal segments, less of Vince McMahon's ass, and less of him trying way too hard to be edgy but failing. I'd be all for that. Regardless I can't see how it'd effect the actual wrestling. To be honest I'd rather have more terrible camp humor than more incest angles and Kiss My Ass Club garbage.

Anyways I love the new ECW title. Mark Henry and Tony Atlas have been amazing on ECW... the fatal four way was great!

I've always loved japanese belts, and that IWGP one is fucking beautiful and brilliant. Having the names of past title holders is amazingly cool, what a way to make the title seem prestigious!

Anyways, I think ECW has been better than Smackdown lately.

If doing the same moves over and over again is good then Cena is one hell of a wrestler.

Cena can do good when he needs to. Hell his match with Khali at ONS was decent. But yeah, there are several better superstars they could have pushed.

Raw was a train wreck for a while, it's a bit better now. ECW has been pretty good for a while now.

Cena is a limited wrestler and there's nothing more to it.

I didn't say he was the best ever, but he is better than a few who are pushed.

I'm happy with CM Punk as champion, but not so happy with how he has been booked.

The raging Cena debate... Cena sucks as much as people say he does. I think it's so hilarious he injured himself because he hiptosses people like a retard. It's like he forgot half of what he learnt at wrestling school.

Tom Howard: Anchor your fuckin' feet. It's fuckin' simple. Just arm striaght up, behind the armpit, then arm down. That's all. Your fuckin' opponent will do all the fuckin' work. Just be a strong fuckin' base.

*Cena hiptosses Kennedy by throwing his arm at him, barely making contact, then turning around while leaves his feet so that Kennedy has no base to work off and almost gets dumped on his head. Just because it looks cooler than hiptossing people properly.*


Anyway I think Cena could potentially be a very good wrestler if he worked for a different promotion and altered his psychology a little bit. I think it's probably intrinsically difficult to be good in WWE because a lot of the time WWE actually REQUIRES it's talent to wrestle badly as a way to further angles or develop characters, so it's not all Cena's fault. But certainly he's not helping himself in that area. He does what WWE requires of him perfectly, I can't argue with that, so I guess he's doing his job to the best of his ability. But he's still a shitty professional wrestler.

If Cena's so bad, how come he's making so much money and making the crowd go berserk? Great question. I suppose Hulk Hogan was a pretty bad wrestler too.

Doing the same moves over and over doesn't make you a good wrestler- getting the pop of the night over and over makes you a good wrestler.
Cena sells when he has too, and makes his intense comeback every time. I don't appreciate it personally, but he IS good at what he does. Otherwise he wouldn't be champion.
Taking a million tiger and dragon suplexes after doing twenty minutes of the most perfect chain wrestling in the world and then top it off with a vicious submission win doesn't make you a good pro wrestler. It makes you a hell of a chain wrestler and bump taker, but there's so much more to it.

Cena deserves a lot more respect than people give him, namely the smarts. Hey, I don't like watching him wrestle either, but that doesn't make him bad.

If McDonald's food is so shitty, how come it's the most profitable restaurant in the world? By your logic every chef and food critic in the world is wrong and the Big Mac is the single best meal in the history of Earth. Way better than Crème Brulée. Because more people eat it more often.

In context, Cena isn't bad. Like I said, he often does what's required of him to the best of his ability. You can't call him bad in that respect. WWE are happy with that and he's happy with that. But outside of the context of a WWE main event wrestler, he's not a good professional wrestler because his wrestling matches (generally, with some exceptions) aren't very good.

ok, i thought of this a while ago but didn't get around to posting it. does anybody else realize that the Santino Marella/Beth Phoenix angle is exactly the same as the one they did with Chyna and Eddie Guerrero? Only instead of Latino Heat, it's Italian Heat... er, something. And their predecessors were much better wrestlers.

Well, probably nobody really cares. But just another example of WWE recycling their material.

i guess i'm glad CM Punk's champion, but i'm pissed that somebody relatively new like him got a push while guys like Jeff Hardy still have not worn the belt...

oh, and the GTS (go to sleep) has got to be one of the worst finishers right now, if not of all time. Granted, the people's elbow was also pretty terrible, but I loved the Rock
