WWE confirmed today in the following press release that beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2008, ECW's timeslot on Sci-Fi will be moved back one-hour to 9:00 p.m. This is all part of an effort to get their shows a "PG" television rating.
They list the press release, but it's nothing interesting..

Well, that might be how you feel, but alot of people would disagree. Rey is still incredibly popular and won't be going away any time soon, so i guess you just gotta deal with it!
Interesting tidbit I found online:
** According to a report at PWInsider.com, at last night's Raw tapings in Washington, DC, Mike Adamle pretty much gave it away to the fans in live attendance that he was the new General Manager. As soon as Shane McMahon's music hit, Mike left the announcers booth and grabbed a ring mic but was told to go back to the announcing booth. Once Shane McMahon teased the new GM was backstage, Adamle quickly jumped into the ring.

Actually they're having contract disputes, so he may not be in WWE much longer. Apparently he wants more money than they're willing to pay. I know Rey is popular, but that doesn't mean I have to like him. Popularity doesn't mean shit, I mean look at Cena. Rey is decreasing in talent each year.

I really doubt the contract disputes are true, but time will tell. And I ain't saying anthing against ya for not liking Rey, hell like/dislike whoever you want, I'm just saying, that he's popular still and will be around for awhile. As for popularity not meaning shit, i guess that shows how little you actually know, cause it does count in some cases! Popularity does mean something, but it doesn't equal talent. John Cena is proof of that.
About Freddy Prince or whatever the fuck... I'm not going to knock him just yet. Apparently he has been a huge wrestling fan since he was young, and he's enthused to be in the WWE. He might not be bad.

Vince McMahon quite frankly can't afford to let Rey walk. I mean he could, but he'd basically be saying to any other promotion, "Here, have some of my money, I don't mind. TNA? You guys want our most over wrestler? No problem, have him! I don't want the millions of dollars he makes me!" Rey is probably worth every penny he demands from a financial standpoint, and honestly I think if anyone deserves to make the John Cena money it's Rey. He's basically a living legend at this point.
I don't think his wrestling ability is diminishing as much as some people say. He works the way he works because he's working for WWE and he's working with their heavyweights. Sho Funaki used to be a hardcore shoot stylist when he worked for BattlARTS and PWFG, before he became a pure lucharesu wrestler in Michinoku Pro. I'd love for him to work like that nowdays, but he's working for WWE, so he really can't. Same deal with Rey. Granted his knees are probably so shot now that he couldn't work like he could in '98, but I think he could seriously go, and probably still snap off those beautiful hurracanranas all over the place. Even if he can't hit the REALLY ridiculous flippy stuff anymore. I think he could easily put on a series of matches the calibur of his ECW shit if he had free reign and motivation to do so.
I think he's just figured out he doesn't really need to, because when he slows down, WWE's audience connects with him more easily as a character. Plus, after a few serious surgeries, you're going to want to take it easy on your knees so that you can stay in the business as long as possible. So yeah, I don't really blame him if he doesn't have the motivation. I mean, his matches can still be really good when he gets given the time and the right opponent so I'm not really bothered by his newer style too much. I'd like to see him drop a bit more of his old offense in there now and then personally, I don't think that would hurt his ability to connect with fans or his body that much, but again, I guess WWE would prefer if he didn't.
Although I have to say it'd be fucking grand if he did walk away from WWE. Unless he worked for TNA. But I'm thinking about how HUGE he would be in AAA or CMILL, or of all the great matches he'd have if he hung out in Japan for a little while as a freelancer. I'd love to see Rey vs Liger one more time.

True that! Also, there's tons of other "popular" wrestlers not just in the WWE where that comes into play as well.
Being a "huge wrestling fan" as he may claim doesn't necessarily mean he'll do anything worth a damn in the WWE creative. Hell I'm a huge wrestling fan as well, but I wouldn't try to claim I could work in WWE creative. For one thing, I couldn't write a good story to save my life!
Also, if Rey, god forbid was to leave the WWE, I doubt he'd be stupid enough to go to TNA, he'd likely go back to wrestling in Mexico or just retire altogether or maybe do as many others do, open a wrestling school

OK got a lot of news.
Dustin Rhodes no longer works for TNA
The following was released by TNA Wrestling earlier today:
TNA Wrestling is nearing completion of our brand-new 20,000 square foot TNA TV Studio near our headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee! The new studio will have several editing bays for the creation of our worldwide programming ("iMPACT!", Xplosion, etc) and DVD production, as well as standup/on-camera sets (similar to what ESPN uses). The studio will also house audio areas, a tape library, conference rooms as well as TNA's growing Merchandise Department. For those that have been employed with TNA since the beginning in 2002, this new state-of-the-art Television Studio is certainly a major milestone for our company.
The Honky Tonk Man nearly lost his finger while doing a guitar stunt which went wrong a few days ago. He was in need of several stitches however was able to keep his finger.

Kurt Angle mentioned in preview footage of "The Real Angle" that a woman he had an affair with threatened to kill his wife. Prowrestling.net has learned that the woman is not one of his former coworkers, despite plenty of rumors to the contrary.
The woman's name is Deann Siden, and she was arrested in May 2003 for stalking the Angles. "A well-placed source reports that Angle had an affair with the woman (which he admitted in the documentary clip), who then stalked him and his wife for the next two-and-a-half years.
"(Siden) has left numerous phone messages on the victim's answering machine stating that she was having Kurt's baby and that he needed to take responsibility for their child," read the police report.
In related news, two well-placed sources tell that the same woman was accused of stalking Ric Flair. To read a story posted at the time the woman was arrested, visit ThePittsburghChannel.com.
The following was released by Dawn Marie:
Wrestlers Rescue
Mission statement
Wrestlers Rescue’s mission is to create awareness and to help raise monies to support the health care needs of Retired Professional Wrestlers due to a career choice in wrestling.
Wrestlers rescue will be focusing on three stages of growth.
· 1st stage is to create awareness of the need and to raise funds.
· 2nd stage is to put in place a financial advisory for the active wrestling community to call on for advice on how to plan for their future. Including retirement, pension, college funds, family needs ect.
· 3rd stage is to set in place a Health care program that can be bought into at a group rate so that the community can afford care for themselves and their families.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of the professional and their families. By educating the person on how to expand their opportunities and how to reach their full potential in life.
I think what she's doing is fuckin awesome.

To follow up on the story regarding Hollywood star Freddie Prinze Jr. joining the WWE creative team, Vince and Stephanie McMahon are hoping that it will open more doors to Hollywood. WWE would also love the chance to have access to Sarah Michelle Geller who is Freddie Prinze’s wife for an angle at some point.
Prinze Jr. is a huge WWE fan however he hasn’t necessarily have the historical knowledge to understand what has and has not been successful in the past.
He was introduced to everyone at last night’s WWE Raw and Saturday Night’s Main Event tapings. According to sources he impressed people in the company with all of his excitement and wiliness to contribute to the company.
