How can you not watch lucha Libre. It's fun to watch. The gimmicks are funy, the action is good, and something is always happening.
The Dark family, Cibernetico, Abismo Negro, La Parka, Juvi. All good examples of great lucha wrestlers. The size of the wrestlers isn't always huge aginst tiny, like most of WWE's, and i have never seen a match in Lucha end in DQ, unlike in TNA.
Thats why i brought Lucha up. The AAA has a good system and great wrestlers. And they actually do stuff other than a punch, a kick, then a finisher. I love watching lucha libre because it's so unlike anything that america has produced.
And as for the batisat and edge thing, you said state some facts, so i stated one.

Sorry about the agressiveness Firesnake. But god damn it you can be annoying lol. Lets just settle on you love TNA and hate WWE, I hate'em both. (Oh and what the hell does Batista and Benoit beating MVP and Edge have to do with anything?)
BUT I DO hate lucha libre more. Man, lucha libre is such crap. It's like TNA X division matches but with no red star presses, and lots more headscissors instead. Lucha Libre sucks and will always suck, that I can tel l you.
And I've never been to wrestling school. I watched alot of wrestling for a long time (but I hardly watch any wrestling at all anymore, not that it's all bad, but I just dont enjoy watching it. It's boring to me unless I'm the one in the ring. Not trying to sound arrogant, just that I like doing it alot more than watching it.), then I basically read alot about it, wrestling books, internet, etc, and most of what I learned was from my buddies who went to a one week boot camp in the Uk's FWA Academy, and from watching Secrets of the Ring with Raven and Al Snow. EXTREMELY important, and anyone who wants to be a wrestler should watch them in order to understand what I'm talking about when I keep yapping about star power and the business side of wrestling. The Secrets of the Ring DVDs / tapes are produced by ROH and basically, each volume is a two hour lesson in a specific matter of the business. I have three volumes with Raven, and one with Al Snow. I watch them regularly.
And also, experience is a great way to learn aswell. Wrestling on different parts of the country and also in Spain (almost every show in completely different circumstances) gives alot of insight. Listening to the more experienced guys, watching the bookers at work, training with more people, talking to promoters... You'd be surprised at how much you can learn just by wrestling four shows.
Oh, and I dont think I know alot about wrestling, but I do know I understand wrestling which is a completely different thing.

i can understand the whole psycology, but why realism? it's a bunch of people jumping around, putting on a good show. WHats so "unreal" about that?

La Parka? The dude from WCW? Dude, that guy is awesome. And is Juvi, Juvintud Guerrara? (forgot how to spell his last name, and his first)
Is it against Khali? Man, I hate Cena, i wish they would turn him heel again. I hated him less when he was a heel. If he was heel all those stupid 3-10 year olds wouldnt be cheering for him every damn night. Cena is the worst role model for yound kids. He's teaching kids to act like a gangster all the friggan time. Don't ya just hate white kids who think thier gangster?

Everything is turning gay. Remember the pimp-ified ladder in WSX? And it sparkled.

hell no i don't order ppvs wrestling any more i read the results and if the matches were decent i watch on youtube or dailymotion because these days thier not worth 20$ let alone 40$
Cena retains.
Edge retains.
Lashley regains title.
Hardys retain.
RVD... wins?!
CM Punk/Sandman/Dreamer win.
Candice wins.
Mark Henry wins.
... yep... well all in all, I still think it sucked. Lashley regaining the title was apparent and I can live with it, as he really needs to be in a fued with an actual wrestler. Cena winning is tragic, as always, but also apparent. I'm surprised RVD picked up the win... all those rumours just might not be true. RVD posted a blog about it recently on myspace or something, refuting any sort of rumours as just being that... rumours. Hope he sticks around.
Apparently, Cena's next opponent just might be Batista via the Draft... which would... well, suck. Boretista versus John Ceen-it. Oh well... Batista is actually one person I can imagine them putting over Cena since he's Triple H's butt buddy.

Wow, I love this thread
It's amazing to me how one debate can last about three and a half pages long, Firesnake and Zent hold the record for the longest debate in this thread!

Damn, I missed a lot in this thread then. But this reminds me of back when i used to be a mod for ign. There was this one debate that lasted 5 pages long lol. I was too busy laughing my ass off at the time to even lock the thread.

HALELUA. I fucking agree to everything that you just said. Why the fuck do they keep making Kane job to worthless talent. Henry, Khali, Snitsky, Goldberg, Batista, Lesner. Whats next, making him lose to THE MIZ?!?!? This just proves that the masterminds behind WWE eather have A.D.D. or are fucking retarded. this is an outrage.
And then theres Cena. A thorn in my side. What the should do is Make Kane come to raw, beat the shit out of Cena, and then go on to wrestlemania as champ. Or, for once, they can let him win the royal rumble.
i hope Cena dies in a plane crash on the way to his next match.

going back to the lucha libre thing. i remember first hearing about lucha libre through ecw and wcw, with rey mysterio, psychosis, juvi, and what not. i thought to myself...wow, if these guys push theirselves to the limit like this in one match, i wonder what a whole show would be like. then i had the misfortune of actually watching it. it's nothing like it was made out to be in the states. it's good for a laugh or two, but i just can't take it seriously.
I missed raw tonight but after seeing wwe.com i'm kinda glad. cena vs. umaga vs. the great khali in a triple threat match with cena retaining.......wow....just wow......

I enjoyed the rest of the show.
The Hardys lost their title against Cage and Murdok in a very good match(I think Jeff really did get injured there), but I don't think it was necessary to turn Cage and Murdok into heels, it could've gone to Vengeance as a "We'll show you we really did and we can do it again" storyline.
Cena against Khali and Umaga. If Cena would'Ve lost, the match would've been good because it's been since they first appeared that the match has been asked for(meaning Khali against Umaga).
Orton is a lot better in his "Legend Killer" gimmick, wanna bet he'll have another match against Flair next week? Then he's gonna feud with Triple H, of course, reason why they are showing the clips of Triple H and his injury(dumb).
Carlito simply sucks.
Cryme Tyme against Dekstra and Nitro, well, I must say I am impressed. I normally hate Nitro and Dekstra, but they are now pulling some very good moves. If it weren't for the two worthless bitches, it would'Ve been a very interesting match. If Crapdice Michelle and Craplina weren't there, we wouldn't have known the result of the match years before it began.

i'm very much in agreement about orton. he's at his best when he's the legend killer. plus, it is pretty obvious that they're building towards orton vs. HHH upon his return, which bums me out. they're gonna build orton up to the moon and then hhh is gonna come in and crush him. that's probubly the reason edge didn't want to feud with him when he comes back, and i couldn't blame him a bit.
