I was pretty pissed off when I heard that Gail Kim was released... she was one of the best female wrestlers the WWE had and they just tossed her for a bunch of loser girls that can't do anything but look good. I don't mind looking at hot girls... but watching a hot girl do nothing but sit there looking hot for 10 minutes doesn't keep my attention. Not to mention Gail herself is hot and had wrestling ability.
As or Christian I was glad when he quit and moved on to TNA...I've always liked him and thought the WWE wasn't using him to his full potential... and they never would.
Tajiri quit...he wasn't released. He had recently signed a new contract.
Christy...um...not sure what they were thinking. The fans loved her... she was getting better in the ring...it just seemed like a bad move all round for the WWE. Still not a surprise since they seem to make a lot of bad moves.
----
I find i stupid that they are bringing back people they released last year....wtf was the point in letting them go only to bring em back? I know personally if I was a wrestlers and the WWE treated me that way I wouldn't work for them again.
The Samoa Joe thing is probably just a rumour. But really, you guys who defend TNA and love this guy are overlooking the main reason this rumour exists; his salary. Seriously, why should Jeff Hardy, Rhino, Christian, etc. make more money than the guys who have been with the company since it began? Seems a lot like poor management to me. They are obviously only concerned with making money and couldn't care any less about real talent... just like the WWE. TNA is certainly no better.
Again... as I stated before, the mark of a good wrestler is not to hurt your opponents. I bet if some guy in WWE did that you all would be complaining about it. Notice how Hardcore Holly has very few fans and people give him a hard time about his in ring work at times.

IMO Joe has earned a raise. If TNA is smart, they'll give him it. The reason Hardy, Rhino, Christian etc. make more is because they are bigger names. Wrestling isnt all about...well wrestling. Just take a look at Hulk Hogan. He comes back every so often and makes more a show than im sure some do in a year.
O_o If you're implying everyone here likes Joe because he works stiff,no. If you have seen Joe work you know why people like him so much. Being stiff is just something that he's known for. Look at Hogan and no selling alot of things, selling is a big part of wrestling, yes? But because its a trademark of Hogan, many people look past it.
Actually I'd rather see Holly put Samoa Joe in his place. Someone praised him for being a badass who drops people on their heads... well I'm pretty sure the entire WWE roster could drop just about anyone on their heads. There's a difference between being a badass and a careless bastard. I would never ask my opponent to take a muscle buster, because if he got hurt I'd never get over it. Call me a sissy, or a ''none-badass'' if you will, but I'd rather have a good match without killing my opponent than to have the same match but hurting him.
Not to take anything away from Joe, I think he's a great wrestler, but fuck he goes way over limits.

I realize the reasons why those people have larger salaries, I'm just saying people claim that TNA is some huge "alternative" to WWE when it really isn't. All I see in TNA is a mini-WWE with relaxed rules. That's about it. WWE holds down good in ring wrestlers/people who have been loyal for a while in favour of "big names" and most people disagree with that sort of decision. TNA does this very same thing. A few big names show up and now things have changed a lot. I've read comments from former TNA wrestlers who have had less than kind words to say about it's backstage environment as well.
As I've said here before, I think Samoa Joe has a lot of potential and talent. However, when you have an in ring trademark it isn't supposed to be dangerous. Hogan no-selling things is just who Hogan is... Joe giving people busted lips and bruises is a bad thing and shouldn't be praised as much as it is. You can't just "look passed it" as you can with Hogan.
I pretty much agree with what Zentile said on about this, too.

Mark Hendry's return is surprising, cause I thought the WWE was smart enough to have fired him already, and be done with it. The guy can hardly wrestle, is the least bit entertaining, and I could go on and on!

From what I've always understood, Mark Henry signed a 10-year GUARANTEED (forget what the actual word is) contract back in 1996, because of all the hype he was getting since he was going to compete in the Olympics. Basically, WWE would lose more money if they fired him instead of keeping him. IF he's still around in 2007, that's when it would make no sense at all.

Yeah I've read that too.
As for TNA I just got Genesis and Bound For Glory to watch and really... I don't see where the hype is coming. Seriously, the announcers mention the WWE (directly or indirectly) pretty much five hundred times more than the actual WWE does in their programming and I'm not sure this helps them if they want to be seen as a credible alternative instead of some promotion that is just trying to be WWE's little brother. My previous comments on TNA's matches were pretty much confirmed, it looks as though everybody gets to do their finishing move 30 seconds into the match only to get the opponent get up without even a pinfall attempt. This just seems wrong to me or I know so little about TNA that every suicide moonsault seems like a finishing move to me (I'd go with the latter, I really can't pay attention to TNA because what we've got here is EuroSport and it's pretty much a collage of matches from the stone-age).

Seeing Vis without a shirt would be scary.
Another thing about TNA (which really isn't their fault) is the fans/crowd. Seriously, they are generally the most annoying bunch of morons around. They'll cheer for the heel (whereas in WWE, that doesn't happen unless they're facing Cena). Plus, two morons called in on WWE's Byte This! show and said "TNA is better than WWE" and just hung up the phone. This will no doubt be edited out of the show itself, but it just shows a certain level of immaturity people have.
Perhaps they should "fire" the fans like Vince did... except for real. :P

A bit of big news regarding a former TNA wrestler, something I was sort of expecting to see happen... and now it has:
The article:
World Wrestling Entertainment has managed to sign former NWA-TNA superstar Sonny Siaki to a contract with the company, thanks in part to a recommendation from the newest member of the WWE creative team "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.
It is not known at this time if Siaki's contract is a normal one or a developmental one, and there is currently no word on when he will start for the company. We will keep you updated as more information is released on the WWE's plans for Siaki.

Thats not really TNA fans, thats more human beings in general. Some TNA fans are jackasses, some WWE fans are jackasses.

And probably the title at WrestleMania...
By the way, what happened to Edge's title shot (that money in the bank thingy)? Is it forgotten and pretend it never happened?
Edge still has the briefcase and promotes his title shot, so I am expecting he will be getting one soon... possibly at Royal Rumble against whoever wins the Elimination Chamber match (Cena).
Edge is just slightly injured right now. His match against Flair is probably just a "warm up" to see how well he's able to go in the ring. On the topic of Edge... he would be a great Champion, in my opinion.

I was hoping that they'd give edge a good enough push before they'd have him cash it in to go for the belt. But, since he's feuding w/ Flair right now(which might last a PPV of 2) I don't think he's a strong enough heel to challenge Cena right now. And I doubt he will come Wrestlemaina, though it was valid for one year.

Well, TNA fans will cheer for whoever's work they appreciate. It's based more on performance than anything. I kind of like it, actually. Just a small thing that sets TNA apart from WWE. How do ROH fans react? I've never seen an ROH show, just read the results.
