He has actually "tried" to get his life together, even going to Triple H and Vince McMahon for help, but it seems apparent to me that he still needs help, badly, and if he doesn't admit it to himself soon, he'll end up being the next "casualty" of wrestling.

I don't understand what drives these guys to drugs? Is it the fact that they can't handle the fame, and need and escape, or is it that they had previously struggled with some kind of addiction before they got into wrestling, and the stressing schedule drove them back to it? One has to wonder, is this a problem in every sport, or just wrestling?

Obviously drugs are a problem EVERYWHERE, not just wrestling. Wrestling doesn't drive anyone to drugs, like Benoit said ''it's your choice''. If guys like Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko, Chris Jericho and Christian, just to mention a few, who work their asses off can go without filling their veigns with juice, then I don't see why Eddie Guerrero, Waltman, Raven, etc, all have to get into drugs. It's not about wrestling, it's about the person.

It's always about the person. After all, drugs in Hollywood has always been a big deal with the media. Wrestling is pretty much just like Hollywood, since wrestlers are just like actors. There are some who don't feel the need for drugs and some that cannot cope with something and feel that they do... it's simply how life works.

Whether or not Waltman can go clean remains to be seen I suppose... I won't put him down, because I hope he can beat his demons like Eddie did. The longer he continues to do them the more time he is possibly subtracting from his life, though.

Someone I feel really bad for Matt Cappotelli (Tough Enough III winner and one of the top prospects at OVW). It was discovered Thursday that he had a brain tumor... it's not known if this is benign or malignent yet. This is a career and life threatening situation obviously... this guy just has the worst luck. Every time he's nearing his debut in the WWE, he gets injured. First, Hardcore Holly injures him and he has to go to OVW. Then just before coming back, he blows out his knee... and now this. It's too bad, really. I hope the best for him.

Not to mention the wrestlers are in a huge 'Catch 22', as is the WWE/Vince.

The wrestlers don't want to get fired while off on a long injury, so they take pills to work through it. Then comes addiction. I think they could end at least that end of the sillyness if they had some better structured contracts. Have some type of injury clause in it perhaps. I promise you, mid-carders especially, probably fear the UPS man coming to their house everyday with a registered letter (pink slip) when at home with an injury. Or dread 'that phone call'. It's pretty fucked that if a guy blows an ACL he can get fired.

Yeah, I hope everything works out for him also. He's been about the only one from Tough Enough that has shown any real potential. BTW, Holly injured him during TE, it had nothing to do with him going to OVW. WWE sent him there to improve as a wrestler, something they should have done with the other TE winners, then maybe they'd still be employed!

Uh oh... rumours about Christy Hemme's release are popping up and they're ludicrous. They better be bullshit.
Check this out, guys:

Source: PWTorch.com

Although it has not been confirmed, there are rumors going around that Christy Hemme's WWE release was due to "acting inappropriately" with Triple H on a recent tour.

Word of Christy Hemme's actions, none of which directly implicate Hunter in anything physical with the diva, got back to Stephanie McMahon in the form of a number of stories.

Stephanie was also less than pleased with Hemme's "excitement" about traveling with HHH and Batista.

In a statement on her website, however, Hemme attributed the release to budget cuts.

Did Hemme hit on the Game and got fired? She's dating MNM's Joey Mercury so maybe it was just Stephanie being a dumb, unprofessional bitch. Or maybe it's just bullshit.

Since Internet almost-news websites like to make Stephanie and HHH as if they were sent by Satan himself I have no doubt this is bullshit.

I can't say I have no doupt because this Hemme shit really is funny and there's something fishy about it. Hemme was over and if they wanted to cut some costs there's plenty more to choose from. It don't make no sense!

The WWE's "budget cuts" rarely make any sense at all. See the release of 18 wrestlers in 24 hours earlier this year. If they truly cared anything about money they would stop releasing good talent and start cutting out crappy nonsense like the Diva Search.

When Billy Kidman is released but Heidenreich, Snitsky and Tomko are still around so why was it supposed to make sense with Hemme?

Yeah, I'm still kinda pissed about Hemme. If true , it is funny as fuck, lol. Love that little read-headed whore. tongue

Ok, so wtf? Is Lashley supposed to be the "new, next big thing?" I don't think I've heard one lic of him from the mic. Though, I really don't care, to tell the truth. Love his in ring style. Just kinda curious as to how they'll push him. Meh.

Maybe Lashley is the next big thing, he has good chance to be in the main event soon. It will Royal Rumble where he will finally proof himself or otherwise No Way Out the last stop before Wrestlemania 22................

I still can't get into Lashley. He hasn't shown all that much, despite having alot to show. He's thrown people around, good job Bobby. He just doesn't have the feel of the next big thing that Brock had. Like the first time I saw Brock I just thought WOW. Lashley, I saw him live and just sorta thought, meh. Depends on how they use him, but chances are he'll grow on me. Just can't really imagine him being "The next big thing."

this is what i think of wrestling:

my 2 favorite wrestlers are randy orton and HHH

the people who i want to come back are brock lesnar, the rock

the people i hate: john cena, batista

i hope tey lose their titles soon, they r gay, and i dont think lashley can be the next brock lesnar, and it was a piece of crap that hhh isnt in the chamber. now we know that cena is gonna win, bcuz i think we all know kane wont win. and if triple h was in that match, he would have to win, bcuz he is better than cena, an d cena shouldnt have beaten angle. angle is much better, and why did batista not defend his title

If you don't like how the WWE handles it's talent, you can place most of the blame on John Laurinaitis a.k.a. Johnny Ace. I believe he's the vice president of talent relations... and in his infinite wisdom, he has decided that "the people" want to see "bigger guys" opposed to the crusierweights or light heavyweights. This is why otherwise entertaining individuals are released instead of worthless big guys who aren't as fun to watch. I personally don't understand the massive amount of releases by the WWE this year... there should never be a reason to drop people like that when you are dealing with a company that is clearly in a position of no financial or competitive strain.

Haha, that actually brought out a legit lol, tongue.

I definately understand, though. He's been squashing peeps left and right. I'm not sure if he can string together a competitve, story-telling match yet. Meh, we'll see. I just love how he "goes into" his shit, though. It's "snappy" and "floaty" at the same time, haha.

I agree with the "wow" factor of brock, I was like wtf when I first saw him. Hell, whenever I played HCTP I was always like "shit shit, he's gonna kill me!" grin

Actually, and this is what I read obviously, I think the WWE got a lot less money from their TV deal now that they're on USA (something to do with advertising or whatever, I really don't know a lot about it) and as far as I've read that's the reason they made some budget cuts.

Because, Kidman's a cruiser, Heidenreich, Snitsky and Tomko are heavyweights. WWE always gives priority to the big men. Christy Hemme was a hot babe who was over with the crowds, and who the WWE had invested alot in recently. Why not release Torrie, Kristal, Doug Basham, Danny Basham, Rene Dupree or Stevie Richards? A release like that would've made sense, just like all the sudden releases earlier this year... Jindrak, Haas, Chuck Palumbo, etc, were all young talent that the WWE simply didn't see potential in and hadn't invested that much in them anyways.
Christy's release just wasn't that simple, no way.

It's actually Vince who likes the "bigger guys", and since Animal's brother is (reportedly) the biggest ass-kisser in WWE, those decisions are based on him making Vince happy.

WWE used to sell their own advertising space on RAW (meaning that WWE itself would find clients to buy up ad space for the commercial spots). Part of the new deal with USA was that they would give up that right and now it's USA who sells those ads. Not entirely sure about this, but the figure I remember reading is roughly $10 million (as in, that's how much money WWE no longer receives and used to be guaranteed).

Well, since kidman put on some weight and lost the jean shorts/beater, he kinda went down hill. Though, I see that being due more to booking than Billy.

Shit, it sucks though. You guys got me thinking about OG Kidman, lol. Back in WCW, when he left Ravens Nest. Saturn - I believe - working with him, trying to get Kid to leave. I remember when he did, then that night he won the cruiser title; one of my favorite moments in wrestling history. He and Rey Rey putting on fucking awsome shows all the time. Sigh, good times...good times.

Man, I guess you're entitled to your opinions, but to say that you hate Cena and Batista, wow, that's harsh. What's the matter with Dave? He's such a great talent, I like Cena, but i think Dave is a better champion. And yeah, I agree that Lashley doesn't hold a candle to Lesner. But, speaking of Lesner, don't expect him back any time soon, until he's through with Japan, and gets things settled with WWE. As for the Rock, don't expect him back ever, I watched and interview done with him on that show, "The Big Idea, with Donny Deutch", and he said that he quietely retired from wrestling, to act.

I got the Wrestlemania Anthology for Christmas!! grin Anyone else have this?

Merry Christmas to everyone. wink smile glasses

"Retirement" in any sport (or sports entertainment) is a very fickle term. The Rock is currently "retired" yes... as much as Jericho is. Jericho will eventually return full time, probably. As for The Rock, he'll never return full time, but he will always make appearances from time to time. He's due for an appearance soon actually... I wouldn't be too surprised if he was lined up for a match at Wrestlemania.

There have been talks of Lesnar returning to the WWE and getting back on good terms all year, but I honestly don't see it happening. The two sides will simply dislike each other too much for that to ever work. I never cared much for Brock when he was there, but now that he's gone I sort of miss seeing him. He was pretty bad on the mic as I remember, but he was a great in ring talent. Plus him still being around (and on RAW) would mean Cena would have to let go of that title finally.
