I know who you mean, the one and only, Fabulous Moolah!! Longest reigning of any champion past or present.
Check, it won't be Vinnie or Shane'O Mac who become new GM, it's already been rumored to be Dusty Rhodes, and from Raw this past week, it looks like that's what Vince wants. Remember when Dusty Rhodes came into his office, he said, "look, it's the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, or should I saw, new GM Dusty Rhodes?", so there you have it, I think Dusty has got the job, which is fine with me, he used to book for WCW at one time, and got them some high ratings, same for TNA.
alright here is the poll
Who do you think will win the Elimination Chamber at New Year's Revolution?
Carlito
Chris Masters
HBK
John Cena
Kane
Kurt Angle
I hope Kane will win, because he has been just 1 time champion and it wasn't by his own. The Undertaker helped him.
I can't see Carlito and Masters winning the title and I can't see Cena regaining the title till Wrestlemania 22.............

I think Cena or Angle will win it, but of course, my vote goes to my favorite, The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Micheals.
(I think now that he's elderly, they don't really refer to him as the Heartbreak Kid as much, but fuck it I will.)

Nah.
The only one that refers to him as that is Lillian.
And Lawler.
And The Coach.
And Styes.
And JR until his last show.

Seriously though that last promo with Benjamin, man HBK looked old. He's still da showstoppa though.
Well, HBK is 40. He still looks great though and is definitely one of the best performers active in the WWE. If Angle or HBK won the title, I would be more than pleased with the PPV. I like Kane as well, but there's no chance in hell he'd win, same with Carlito and Masters (who I don't really see as WWE Championship material right now).
Perhaps Cena's, "You can't see me!" is starting to work on him. ^_^
Unfortunately, I have the feeling Cena is going to retain the title... probably at least until the next Wrestlemania, if not longer.
Also... I'm sort of worried about Chris Benoit's situation. I know his contract expires at the end of this year... and what if he's refused to sign? What if Booker really is going to sweep him and that's how Benoit leaves WWE? Scary thoughts, but it all adds up. I hope not though. I'm still a big fan of Booker but he definitely shouldn't sweep Benoit.
A small note... Paul Heyman has been offered a new contract by the WWE (his current one expires soon). By the sounds of his comments, he's likely to sign it I suppose.

I wonder if Heyman is looking to make a few more ECW pay-per-views. I had no idea he was under contract since he's so rarely on T.V.

Well, you gotta keep in mind that the current plan for ECW PPVs is once a year. If he were to leave, he (or somebody else) could make indy shows/PPVs with wrestlers who were in ECW, but it wouldn't be a legit ECW PPV.
Heyman is one of the creative writers for WWE's OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) developmental camp. Apparently, they have televised programming as well... though I'm not sure if that's true or where it can be watched. ECW One Night Stand is planned to return in 2006, so that's probably why he'll be kept under contract.

I've always wondered the same about OVW. The way I understand it, it can only be watched by people who live in/near that area.
As for Paul E., I'm 99.9% sure that Vince (after seeing how well this year's One Night Stand did) would still make an ECW PPV even if Heyman was long gone from the company.

I think you may have guessed it; Benoit will lose the fourth match and quit the WWE.

I think generally speaking, everyone does, or has at least watched it once. TNA gets spoken/written about quite often in this thread. Feel free to post yor thoughts on TNA.
As for who will win the EC, I've got to go with either Cena retaining, or Angle or HBK winning.

Speaking of TNA, i was under the impression that Hemme was going to TNA, but apparently she's signed a new contract with WWE. And I'm kinda pissed TNA signed Sting the more I think about it. Just wtf is he actually going to bring to the table besides a name? Most TNA fans are not your run-of-the-mill WWE fans. They are a bit more....educated...on the subject. They don't go for "as much" bullshit. Also, it kinda shoots down a Benoit jump. I'd much rather see benoit than sting, sorry to say.
Anywho, Boogeyman tonight!!!

Nobody seems to know what is up with Benoit, if he is staying with WWE, or isn't. He stated that he would like a lighter schedule, and rumors are flying online that he might either go to Japan or perhaps TNA, who have yet to offer him a deal, cause they think if they offer him what they have offered Sting, and Benoit accepts, it'll piss off allot of their talent, who are already upset over the Sting signing.
I say wait until after this Sunday at Armageddon, if he beats Booker T, it means he's staying, if not, I bet he'll be gone by the new year.

TNA sucks...abyss is gay and so are AMW..i mean amw always kisses jeff jarrets ass
Smackdown was okay. Great opening... (Boogeyman). I can't give this guy enough praise... he's just too entertaining and seems to have really gotten over with the crowds. It was also nice to see a crusierweight match on something other than Velocity. Kid Kash and Super Crazy put on a good show, in my opinion at least.
The only downside of the show was obviously MNM losing the titles to Batista and Rey. I felt it was really in poor taste of the WWE to set up a title match at the PPV and then have the champions lose their titles before the match could take place. I hope Rey and Batista don't become "unbeatable" like Kane and Big Show seem to be. Mercury and Nitro totally dominated the matchup as well... sad they had to do most of the work (with Rey throwing in a few nice looking moves I thought would have been banned such as the springboard moonsault from the apron and even a reverse hurricanrana). They were certainly nice to look at, but overall I still feel the champions were robbed.
The Orton/Undertaker segment was okay, I suppose. With Orton getting in a "last shot" on the Undertaker before the PPV I am predicting Undertaker to take the match. Though, it could go either way really. The Undertaker is probably going to retire after this match, at least for a while...

As was I, but from what I had read it didn't seam set in stone. Meh.
SD started out real strong. Boogey is gold. Having the tag gold switch hands sucks big time. I really enjoy MNM, they are an awsome addition. Also, I missed Melina's split entrance ; which is a bummer. Hopefully MNM wont get put on the back-burner.
Cruiser match was fun, too. But, off course, the Taker/Orton angle is simply .

I can absolutely guarantee you all that this Benoit thing is a swerve. 100 percent. In a recent (just a few days ago) interview with Benoit, he had the following to say:
Kirsty Quested: "Speaking of Booker T, you’re in the middle of another Best of 7 series of matches with him, which is actually the second time that the two of you have done this. On the Hard Knocks DVD, you said that it had been tough coming up with seven individual matches. Are you concerned about that this time round?"
Chris Benoit: "No, I’m not. Booker T is obviously seasoned so much since the last time we’ve done it, as have myself, so it’s been quite challenging, you know, competitively, in a competitive way, to step into the ring and wrestle him. I’m having a lot of fun doing it, and I like the competitiveness that Booker T brings to the table."
And more importantly...
Kirsty Quested: On a slightly more positive note, New Zealand fans have been really looking forward to seeing SmackDown out here in March. Have you been out to New Zealand before?
Chris Benoit:No, I’ve never been, I’m looking forward to it, I’ve been to Australia but never to New Zealand.
Kirsty Quested: Yeah, you’re looking forward to coming out here?
Chris Benoit: Oh yeah. I’m really psyched. Looking very forward to coming.
So if Benoit will be wrestling in New Zealand for WWE in March, it's pretty safe to say he's not going anywhere.
I don't think Benoit would have been lying in the interview either, as he really doesn't strike me as the guy who would be a good liar at all. Plus, the interview is from before the internet news sites had got hold of this "information." Besides, why would Benoit possibly want to wrestle in Japan? He's not exactly in the type of condition required to take brainbusters, vicious neck whipping powerbombs, and emerald frosions every day. His body is a mess, I don't think he could handle it.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
This is most likely a swerve - "information" deliberately "leaked" by WWE for all the news sites to fall over themselves posting about. Don't forget that WWE are really trying to use the internet to their advantage these days. Reason most likely being, it's obvious Benoit is going to win his next match in order to keep the series going and to make the full seven matches, it doesn't take a genius to see that WWE would almost definitely have Benoit win at the PPV. So, some information gets "leaked" saying that Benoit is going to lose beacuse his contract is up soon, so people will buy into this and when Benoit wins, it'll actually be a surprise rather than a "Who didn't see that coming" moment.
This is of course, just speculation, but it makes sense.
