Well, if you wanna pay like a billion bucks to cover the cost of getting them shipped to New Zealand, slight price inflation on top of that, then getting them shipped back to the US...
I got a good reliable place to get 'em, but I don't really get 'em that much cheaper than if you were to buy 'em in a US store. And I don't condone downloading PPV's, so yeah, i'm not about to give out links and suchlike.
Anyway, onto Turning Point:
Well, I thought it would never happen. Remains to be seen whether Sting can still go, but in any case i'm sure it's going to haul in some fans. But a Blue coat? Blue Sting maybe?
I'm actually glad the barbed wire match was quite short. I was really, really looking forward to it, thinking about how great it was going to be, but then mid match I just started to turn away and cringe because I was so scared Abyss and Sabu were going to get badly injured, and then it just wasn't fun to watch anymore. I'm all for hardcore, but that's just too much. I know they didn't really do too many spots that were that dangerous, but still. I don't like the possibility of Abyss ending his career before it really gets rolling because he rips a tendon or damages a nerve just so I can be cheaply entertained for 20 minutes. That would make me feel guilty. Like watching two pitbulls fight. You know they want to go for it, and you kind of want to see what would happen, but to encourage it and see one get hurt just feels wrong. They can put on matches that are just as much, if not more entertaining without such a huge risk of severe injury, and I feel a lot more comfortable NOT encouraging guys to destroy themselves for cash.
And Sabu's Abdullah The Butcher-esque spike/shiv thingy was too much as well. I have a pretty high tolerance for violence, but this is supposed to be WRESTLING, not a knife fight, and stabbing people legit is not wrestling. Besides, it's stupid - if Sabu hated Abyss enough to stab him, why not stab him in the face? It's just not believable to have serious looking weapons like that and then not have it used in a serious manner.
I guess it worked for what it was though, and didn't fall apart like most matches like that tend to.
And honestly? I thought AJ vs Joe was nearly as bad. Obviously, the risk factor isn't so high, but come on. Stiff shots are awesome. I like seeing some stiff shots, they make the match a lot more interesting, but that was a little over the top in my opinion. I like Joe, but fuck, I really wish he'd tone down those kicks just a notch, there's just no need for it. Surely Joe can put on an exciting match without having to resort to actually hurting people. If he can't put on a good match or get heat without hurting people like that, then he's a shit wrestler, plain and simple. It doesn't matter if AJ agree's to take a billion stiff-as-fuck kicks, that's irrelevant. Like Raven said in his blog a while ago, the whole point is to make it look like you're hurting your opponent without actually hurting him. And by the look on AJ's face after taking about 50 of those kicks in the chest, he was hurting like hell. And I find it gets to the point where it's not fun to watch anymore because it's too serious, 'worked' or not. I might as well just watch some bum fight videos of homeless people taking turns kicking each other in the face in return for some kid paying them 20 bucks.
Also, Bradshaw stiffs somebody like that and that makes him a dick, but Joe does it and that makes him a good wrestler? Gimmie a break.
If Joe wants to "wrestle" like that, he can fuck off and fight Super Dragon and Kobashi each week, or go smash light tubes in Nick Mondo's face, because I don't want to see any Alex Shelley's, Chris Sabin's or Petey Williams' hurt. Not only the kicks, but other things too. He dropped Necro Butcher on his head with a powerslam a little while ago (his last match, I think) and people blamed that on Necro saying it was just because he sucks. But in his match with Styles, Joe very nearly dropped him on his head too. Coincidence? Maybe, but it makes me wonder.
Still, that was a hell of a match. Absolutely incredible.
What a surprise. Just as I predicted, they BOTH blew stupid spots like that, BOTH looked like fools, and BOTH landed on their heads almost broke their necks. Somebody needs to tell Sonjay Dutt that his 720 headscissors move is rubbish and he needs to start wrestling instead of doing gymnastics in his matches before he breaks his neck.
Good PPV overall, but sometimes I wonder how much TNA cares for the wellbeing of their wrestlers. And I don't really mind Jarrett retaining TOO much. It's all good. He won't hold it too much longer, and if he does, I probably won't mind, just so long as he has fresh challengers and doesn't end up fighting Monty or Sting for 8 months.

Tonight's RAW will apparently feature Elimination Chamber qualifying matches (this is from WWE.com) in the form of:
Kurt Angle vs. Ric Flair
Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito
Chris Masters vs. Viscera
Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show
Triple H vs. Kane
Now... who all were included in that poster with Cena earlier this month? I'm wondering how exactly Viscera was given this push when he's been regulated to Sunday Night Heat recently... sort of odd.

Yeah it doesn't really make sense for Viscera to be in a qualifying match.... I can't believe Masters is going to be in the chamber... It's just stupid. I do like Masters but he doesn't really bring anything new to the table. He's only in the chamber to be given a spotlight for some unknown reason. Same for Carlito, but I can see Carlito taking some nice bumps in the chamber. Masters can't do shit though.
I don't want Carlito, Shelton, Masters and Viscera in the Chamber.
And what the heck Angle vs Flair?!?
If I am not mistaken Last year Flair begged Bischoff to participate in the elimination chamber, but the former gm refused by saying that he was too old and that he had no chance at all to survive it...........

sting has always used different colored coats, not just black.
anyway, i dont understand the prob with jarrett winning again. im kinda sick of it myself, but its no different then hhh having the title for what seemed like a year and a half. id rather see someone more deserving get it. im not a big fan of jarrett, but someone else needs the strap. they need to give it to a face, rather than a heel, to generate better crowd response, etc.
i also feel that tna needs a few more titles and a longer show. there roster is too deep to show an hour show. and theres a lot of good people not gettin any tv time because of it :/
i said it seemed like it, but i guess that just flew over your head. my point was that title changes dont happen as often as they should, and sometimes happen too soon. rhyno was chap for like what a week? then jarrett gets it back. i cant wait for cena to loose, but hell just drop it to hbk, angle, or hhh as usual. there needs to be more people in the title hunt for both orgs. it would make it less predictible and better for the fans as it wont be the same people with the title over and over.
Predictions for qualifying matches:
Kurt Angle vs. Ric Flair
Angle will very likely win this match. He's still the "top contender" in my mind, despite constantly being forced to job to Cena. Flair is still the Intercontinental Champion, and will probably defend that belt instead of stepping into the Chamber.
Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito
Shelton will probably have to lose again here. After all, losing seems to be part of his overall push. Though, his actions at the last RAW may be the beginning of his turn so he could actually win this match in theory. I still see Carlito taking it, though.
Chris Masters vs. Viscera
Hah... yeah right. This is the only clear result. If Viscera wins, well... yeah right.
Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show
I want HBK to win... however, they are probably setting up HBK vs. Shelton as a singles match. Big Show will be able to continue his personal fued within the Chamber.
Triple H vs. Kane
No way Triple H will lose. If Triple H does win, this is a confirmation that Big Show will as well so that they may carry on their rivalry. I'm not sure what this will do to Kane though...

I read somewheres that HHH wants to beat Flairs record at number of times as champ... if thats the case hes already on 10 and has 6 more to go to be tied so id say we'll see a lot more of Trips in the lime light if thats true... honestly I never was a HHH fan till I read his book, and it was kickass... as for the elimination chamber, I think it will be pretty good, honestly I wish they would let Masters actually be able to get far in it... but my prediction is either Cena retains the belt or HHH gets it...

We're everywhere... O_o
Anyway, here's some EC qualifying match predictions just for the sake of it.
Kurt Angle VS Ric Flair
Angle. He just desearves the title and even though he won't win it he should be contending for it, not Flair.
Shelton Benjamin VS Carlito
Oh my... Carlito will probably win if reports on advertising campaigns are accurate. Nevertheless neither of these two should be there IMO (why not put both HBK and Kane instead of either one of these?)
Chris Masters VS Viscera
Same as above. Masters VS Viscera as a qualifying match for title contendership?! Is this a joke?! We know Masters will win.
HBK VS Big Show
I wish HBK would win this, Elimination Chamber matches just don't feel like matches for giants to me.
HHH VS Kane
HHH of course. He's been in all EC matches and will continue to do so.
Just as a comment, why not putting Kane and Big Show in the EC instead of Masters and Carlito?! Wouldn't that be of greater drawing power? That's probably because they can have both Tag Team and WWE titles defended this way.

I think Batista/Rey will keep Big Show from winning tonight. That way he and Kane are free to defend their titles at the PPV as well.

That doesn't make sense. Big Show and Kane are fighting Rey and Batista at Armageddon, so their titles won't be on the line.
MyQueenSindel, Dusty Rhodes is most likely going to be the new GM of Raw, I read online that it's already confirmed. As for Steph, Teddy Long is the GM of Smackdown and doesn't appear to be going any where, for awhile, so she won't be back. Plus, that's a good thing, I hated when she was GM of Smackdown.

Basically I'm saying Show will lose, so at the PPV he can fight in a tag match instead of the EC.
Several Injuries At TNA Turning Point
Both Sabu and Abyss were treated by TNA medical staff for severe lacerations after their bloody "Barbed Wire Massacre" on Sunday night. Sabu suffered cuts to his face, arms and legs, while Abyss had his left arm completely torn open by the razor wire among other rips to his skin. Both stars received dozens of stitches after the show.
Also receiving stitches was "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who had his upper lip completely ripped open during his match against Samoa Joe. The cut was deep enough to require several stitches from medical staff.
Raven also suffered a busted lip during his match, but did not require stiches
Jeff Jarrett received a nasty cut on his forehead during his NWA World Heavyweight Title match against Rhino
James Storm of America's Most Wanted received what was described as a mild neck stinger in AMW's loss to Team 3D. After being cleared by TNA medical staff, Storm was up and walking but he will be sore for the next few days.

Well, that was certainly surprising. When Show lost, I knew that Triple H wouldn't beat Kane as well. Sort of strange Triple H chose this route for himself... I must say, he's showing a lot of restraint regarding the title.
Anyhow, I still think this may have been a mistake. This leaves Shelton with no match at the PPV, and no one he can get into a rivalry with really. I suppose we'll have to wait until next week to see what he'll do for himself.
Also, I have to say... I loved Matt Striker's promo. This guy should be a great heel... I was thinking all along of how much he reminded me of Chris Nowinski's gimmick, and then Nowinski actually makes an appearance! Great to see him. I really hope WWE keeps him under contract until he can fully recover from his injury.
Bit of TNA news... Jeff Hardy may be done with the company. He no-showed at the PPV and now will not answer his cell phone for management. Perhaps his recent appearances at WWE events have something to do with this? Probably just wishful thinking on my part... I've always liked Jeff and felt he had some real potential if he only applied himself.

Cena, Angle, Carlito, HBK, Masters and Kane. If Carlito and Masters were replaced by Show and Triple H this would be a much better Elimination Chamber. I do like Carlito and Masters alot but they aren't at that top level yet, but I definately see that happening in the future. But then again maybe something like this will help give them that boost.
For me, Raw started off extremely well (Vince's short and to-the-point promo, Angle versus Flair), but then they had Angle make that...promo of his. I know it was intended to draw heat to himself and make the fans cheer Cena more, but making light of what the troops have gone through over there?? Ridiculous, IMO.
Oh well, it's always a blast seeing Cena admit that not everybody cheers him nowadays. And Striker's promo was great, almost as good as the one JBL did on SmackDown! last week. Finally, I must admit that I was surprised when HHH didn't qualify (especially after seeing Kane's partner NOT qualify earlier in the night).

Yeah, I'm very surprised that Triple H didn't win. I thought it was going to be Shelton vs. Micheals, so Big Show and the Game would enter the chamber and still continue their rivalry by wrestling each other in the E.C. Still, I can't wait to eventually see Shelton in an elimination chamber match. You can bet he'll show us some never before seen moves.
Anyway, without Triple H in there I don't see Cena losing the title. He'll probably use his SUPER **NEW** SPECIAL FINISHER II, the STFU (what the ...fuck!?) and make everybody tap out after taking a chokeslam, angle slam, sweet chin music, modified neckbreaker, be put into the master lock and still power out.

Raw kinda blew last night, though, I don't expect anything less, lol. I did enjoy Cena's promo and that bitch slap was priceless. HIm admitting fans are loosing interest was kinda nice, actually. I was like WTF when Kurt went off on the troops, then cena put him in his place.
Vince putting him self over the troops saying shit like "you can knock the troops, you have that right, but you don't have the right to interupt me" pissed me off soooo bad. He's a fucking piece shit. I am glad, however, they are going to entertain the troops. I'm soo glad WWE does that for them.
