I thought he tried to drop kick the ring.
Anyway, from what I saw watching the Royal Rumble Vince hurt himself trying to get into the ring and he couldn't even stand he just sat there like that's what he wanted to be doing...it looked damn weird.

As a result of that Vince apparentlly injured both of his quads, which as anyone knows is a serious injury. He's had surgery, but is said to be in allot of pain and will be rehabing back home in Greenich. To bad though, all he wanted to do was come out and get the show to end quicker.
SD was great, and I agree with Olympic, Dave Batista is the man. What a great way to end SD and a great way to build up a brand specific ppv. I applaud WWE for actually promoting a ppv properly! I especially liked the stare-down between Show and Dave.
As for Orton/Taker at Mania, let me say this, I see no point what soever for this match to take place, other than the fact that the WWE wants to continue to push Orton as a "legend killer", but whay build up this match when they already began teasing Taker/Kane vs. Heidenreich/Shitninzky at the Rumble? It just goes to show how quicklly the WWE can change their minds and go from a really good idea to a really shitty idea. I can add this, Taker is by no means going to go along with that match especially if he is pegged to lose. The man has given his life to the WWE and his Wrestlemania winning streak means everything to him, if you've watched interviews with him, he says so, and for Vince to even think of screwing him in unforgiveable. So I hope for Vince's sake, he goes with the tag match instead. Orton doesn't deserve to be put over by Taker, Taker is the man!

Honestly about Orton I liked the guy when he was in Evolution. Then he turned face and he just went overboard... I guess he was pushed too fast...
Anyway, how about some No Way Out predictions?
Booker T VS Heidenreich... I don't quite get the point of this match since SmackDown! is broadcasted with a four-week delay here in Portugal but anyway I don't see Heidenreich beating anybody really... Booker T will have a hard time selling those fake punches to the torso but I guess Booker will get the win...
The Undertaker VS Luther Reigns... How the mighty have fallen... Undertaker feuding with Heidenreich and now Luther Reigns... well, Luther is way better than Heidenreich but The Undertaker always wins...
Funaki VS Paul London VS Chavo VS Spike VS Shannon Moore VS Akio... I would really love that Paul London won this thing, either him or Chavo but I reckon Funaki will retain...
Kurt Angle VS John Cena... everybody knows John Cena will win although I hate his gimmick.
JBL VS Big Show... JBL will retain

I wish they would of kept the Taker/kane Vs Snitsky/Heidy match. only because I really wanted to see Undertaker and Kane team up again. they both changed alot sence the last time they teamed back in 2001. Taker doesn't deserve to be in a ring with a wrestler whos just as boring as watching grass grow.

I agree, but I doubt that it's 100% for sure that Taker/Orton will happen. I still think it's the tag match, but if the match does get confirmed on WWE tv, then that'll suck ass.
I agree with all your NWO predictions but 1, that's the tag match, I hate those fucking fruity fags The Basham Brothers, so I think Rey and Eddie will win. I'm not entirelly 100% sure on the main event though.

This little tidbit should make all those JBL fanboys a little more happy (I of course say it's the biggest crock since Triple H's first title):
JBL's WWE Title Reign the Longest in 10 Years:
When John Bradshaw Layfield defeated Eddie Guererro for the WWE Title last year many people were left shaking their heads, wondering if he could be a credible champion who deserved to hold the title. Since then, JBL has certainly made a lot of progress with this character and has held his own against the best that SmackDown! has to offer. Like him or not, JBL has made history.
This month, JBL surpassed Shawn Michaels's 1996 WWE title reign of about 7 1/2 months (3/31/96 - 11/17/96), which means JBL has the longest WWE Title reign in a decade, going back to Kevin Nash's 1994-1995 title reign as Diesel that was just shy of a year. Congrats to JBL. (Yeah congrats on being the second least deserving World Champ!!)

Longest title reign?!! I thought Triple H has the longest (in recent years). Remember back in 2003 when he held the title for nearly a year?

Triple H's 2003 World Title Reign: Dec, 15, 2002 - Sept, 21, 2003
JBL's 2004 WWE Title Reign: June, 27, 2004 - (April 3, 2005?)

The Basham Bros. should have a new finisher, from what happened on Smackdown.
It's called The Jacket Throw of DOOM.
It's called The Jacket Throw of DOOM.
Well I love the Bashams but that was a pretty good joke.
ANYWAY, while I must defend my main man JBL, the greatest WWE champion of all time, I have to agree on a few things: Number one, he doesn't get much of a crowd reaction. Heidenreich gets more heat then JBL does. I don't know why, but it's the truth.
Second, JBL just NEEDS to become a true blue force as a heel champion, something that he's simply not, at the time. He needs to win the Barbed Wire Steel Cage match agaisnt the Big Show 100% Cleanly. He needs to start being alot more serious, and get some legit victories agaisnt Booker T, Big Show and Angle. Otherwise, he simply won't be seen as a true force by anyone. I think the best way to go with the barbed wire steel cage match, is have Batista somehow interfere, get into the ring, spinebust JBL, but somehow JBL still wins a clean victory agaisnt the Big Show.
The Bashams need to drop the switch-a-roo twin gimmick, because it sucks. First of all, in my view, they don't look a thing alike and it's just a dumb gimmick. Let Doug Basham grow the hair and goa tee he likes so much, give them a new, original and brutal Double Team finisher, like the Powerbomb/Cutter move I saw on a Botch-A-Mania video from nodq.com. That move looked really cool. I hope they retain at NWO, because Eddie and Rey deserve singles victories, and having another ''Good single star + good single star'' tag team win the tag titles again would just damage the division further. We haven't had a legitimate tag team win the titles for ages.
We've had Angle and Benoit, Edge and Mysterio, Guerrero and Tajiri, Suzuki and Dupree, RVD and Mysterio. Bashams, Team Angle and Los Guerreros picked up a couple of title reigns along the line, but the WWE Tag Team division has essentially become the place where good single superstars who aren't doing anything get thrown into. The same thing is happening with RAW, as we saw last year Booker T & RVD, Scott Steiner & Test, Kane & RVD, etc, and now we see the contenders in Wlliam Regal & Tajiri. I don't know why they split up Tajiri & Rhyno, they were already an established team. But as it stands right now, WWE has The Bashams, La Resistance, and William Regal plus random partner as the only tag teams in the company.
WWE needs to make the Tag division stronger, and that means having the Tag Team champions, wether WWE or World, winning matches agaisnt powerful opponents. The Bashams need to beat the Big Show in a handicap match, CLEANLY. La Resistance need to beat Randy Orton in a handicap match, CLEANLY. While Orton still has some winning credibility as a main eventer, they should have him job to some smaller stars to put them over. That way he can sink back to the mid-card, and do some good while he's at it.
Regarding NWO, I really wish Luther Reigns vs. Undertaker would turn out the way it should, but it probably won't. What I mean is, I think it should be an absolutely brutal match, and it should be given 25 minutes. The match should end with both men busted open, an Undertaker kick out after a Luther Reigns neckbreaker, a chokeslam kick out by Reigns, and Jindrak should try to interfere but Reigns should tell him that this is his fight and he wants to take out Taker on his own. This match should have chairshots, Finisher kick outs and blood. It should be Luther's step towards a solid mid card spot, and even though he'll lose, Taker should defenetely put him over with this match. Reigns has evolved SO MUCH since his PPV debut match at the Great American Bash with Charlie Haas.
He's become very impressive on the microphone, and defenetely GOOD in the ring. Hopefully, John Cena will relinquish the US title after winning the WWE championship, rather than lose the US title and then getting the WWE title shot anyway. A tournament should be held, with Luther Reigns winning the US title. I think he has earned it without a shadow of a doupt, and he should have a long, long title reign with JIndrak and Angle having his back.
Speaking of Angle, Jindrak and Reigns, this stable needs a name already. And some victories. They shouldn't have Jindrak as the guy who takes the bumps for the team, because the team shouldn't take bumps, period. They need to kick some ass, all of them, clean victories. That's what establishes a true team and stable, and even though they're heels, it doesn't mean they can't win without cheating.
Just call them Team Angle already, and have Reigns beat Booker T, Jindrak beat Chavo Guerrero and Angle beat RVD when he comes back. ALL clean victories.
As for the Cruiserweight match, I hope Funaki retains, even though he's been a crap champion. It hasn't been his fault, though. Cruiserweights are simply not given angles or feuds nowadays in the WWE, and it's ridiculous. So Funaki needs to drop the title, however, I think one more PPV victory would just bring a little bit more prestige to the title, which is what it needs. He can drop the title at Wrestlemania, to Paul London, in what SHOULD be a fantastic Face vs. Face high flying cruiserweight match up.

I agree with a lot of what you said...specifically about Angle's team...I'll elaboate more later when I have some time, but yah I'm sick of Mark taking all the bumbs....also I miss his reflection of perfection persona.

Good post Zentile,I agree with everything in your post(except JBL being the greatest champion ever). The tag division need good teams not just slapping random guys together and having them when the belts. And it's sad to see the Bashams and La restiannce(sp)dominate the tag division because both teams aren't that great.
I also like Luther Reigns he can be a solid upper mid carder and I also hope he takes it to UnderTaker at NWO.Mind you that Taker is my fav wwe star, but I do hope Reigns kicks his ass but loses but it should be a good hard fought loss for Reigns.
And you pretty much hit the nail on the head on why alot of people don't like JBL.He needs to get some of his old APA toughness back because he just looks too weak.He has got dominated by everyone he has fought for the title but seems to always win by luck. And the comedy thing is ok to a degree, you can be funny and have people still fear you (HHH does it pretty well)but you can't come across as being silly of goofy which imo JBL has done too many times.

I'm glad more people view Luther in a posative manner; it' nice to see that. Anywho, wtf is up with Candido in TNA? Is he clean...for now, anyways? And where the hell is Tammy? Though, if I'm not mistaken, she was the problem, lol. Meh. Anybody going to order Destination X. I'm debating about passing up WM and getting DX, lol. Silly me.

Yay I have some time...
First off I'd like to take the time to look at the tag division. Here’s what we have right now on RAW; La Resistance, William Regal (Eugene/Tajiri). That’s it...two tag teams. Every once in a while they will throw some singles competitors together for a short title run but that’s just lame IMO. Now moving on to Smackdown; The Dudleyz (who are in limbo right now), The Bashams (who are crap) and again that’s about it, two freaking tag teams. Oh and lets not forget Rey Mysterio and whoever. Since they have nothing for Rey to do lets stick him in the tag division...oh and since JBL is a title hog lets throw Eddie in the tag divison as well. The WWE really needs to get a few tag teams. I think each brand should have at least four tag teams. That would add some variety to the matches.
Now onto the single competitors, on Smackdown we have Angle’s team of Luther and Jindrak. Both these guys are good in my opinion. Specially, Luther... this guy is pure gold. He could be Smackdown’s version of Batista if they would do something with this guy. He’s big and mean and has some decent wrestling ability. Jindrak I’ve seen this guy pull off some cool stuff but right now they just use him as a punching bag. Do something with this young talent WWE plz. Now let’s move onto RAW where we have Shelton Benjamin as Intercontinental Champion facing who? No one... there is no storyline at all for this talented guy to participate in... he just fights random people each week and that is just sad. He could have a feud with so many different guys. Chris Benoit isn’t doing anything right now...neither is Jericho, Christian, Orton...come on... do something man. I’m sick of him fighting someone every week for no reason.
Another thing that irks me is the Hurricane on RAW. Give him to Smackdown so he can compete with the other WWE cruiserweights. I’m sick of watching this guy go to waste. He is nothing more then a joke now and it’s really sad because he’s a pretty talented cruiserweight.
The women’s championship...who the hell does the WWE have now? Trish and Victoria? They let everyone else go in favor of these talentless diva’s that can do nothing but interrupt cruiserweight matches and toss shirts into the crowd with a bazooka. LAME...I enjoyed the women’s division when they had a lot of women competitors...now there is a distinct lack of... so Trish is reduced to walking around with the belt and talking trash to various people.
Finally, the big champs...I hate both of em. Triple H always has the fucking belt...it’s retarded. No one on RAW other then himself is allowed to shine because he always has the freaking belt. JBL on the other hand has had the belt forever which almost as annoying.

Well even though JBL doesn't get much reaction, I just have to say it one more time: JBL is the greatest WWE champion of all time, and a Wrestling god. What other man has won the Kurt Angle Great American award, broken a WWE title reign record, beaten Undertaker in one of his speciality matches, beaten Eddie Guerrero in a texas bullrope match, beaten Booker T, all three men in a fatal four way, successfully defended his title in a hardcore match, won the Florida Agriculture Group man of the year award, not to mention having his own radio show, and a best selling book? This man is all achievements, I tell you!
But anyway, on a subject I forgot about earlier today, Randy Orton. I've hated on Orton plenty, but truth be told: The man has talent. For some reason, ever since he got the main event push he's started to suck, but the fact of the matter is, he has talent.
He started using nothing but those goofy boxing jabs, which are probably the greatest shame I have in being a wrestling fan. Fake punches suck, everybody knows it. That's one of the reasons why I like Mark Jindrak so much. There's not a left hand of his that hits his opponents that doesn't make the viewer go ''Crap, that was pretty damn real!''. Orton however, just keeps doing this silly little worthless punches that make the opponent dizzy. I guess Orton must spread bug spray all over his hands before he gets in the ring.
But anyway, Orton does have a big arsenal. He just doesn't know how to explore it properly, and that's why he's still not main event material.
He has his uppercutt forearms/European uppercutts, though I don't like those much.
He has the cross body, which he usually misses so I guess it's his ''Hey, this is going to finish my opponent off- but actually it wont!'' move, which most superstars have (Cena's 5KS, Angle's Angle Slam, Jericho's Lionsault, etc).
He performs that sick Backbreaker that thankfully he's been doing more often lately.
He does that outstanding dropkick, and I think only Mark Jindrak and Hardcore Holly can compete with the elevation in that move.
He does the snapmare- way too many times, though. Same goes for the reverse chinlock.
There's one move though...I've only seen him do it once on PPV, Bad Blood. Intercontinental Championship agaisnt Shelton Benjamin. He does it in Smackdown! vs RAW, and it's one of my favourite moves ever, even though I've only see it done once, and by Orton.
It's what I call a gutwrench neckbreaker. Orton puts the guy in a train wreck/widow's peak like position, puts his hands around the opponent's neck and falls on his back. It's a very cool, very original and impressive looking move which should be someone's finisher. And he should use it more often. It's defenetely a very creative move. And not really all that dangerous or hard to perform. It's like he doesn't do it simply because he's already won the world title. I hope that's not the way it is, because that would mean Orton doesn't have the spirit I thought he had. He needs to understand that just because he's over with the fans and has the world title victory to boast about, doesn't mean he can just turn shit in the ring. I was just starting to like him very much, until he turned face. Then the suckage came.

I think Orton is right where he should be right now. feuding with Christian in the mid-cards. because thats where he belongs and where he should stay pretty much the rest of 2005. His Main-Event push was a total bomb IMO. Him winning the World Heavyweight Title was one of the worst decisions the WWE could make. He is not World Champion material. Like I said, Orton is Mid-card material and if they don't make changes with him, hes mid-card fo life.

I don't understand what you mean by changes with Orton. There is nothing to change with him. What are they spose to do? Give him a cowboy hat and a limo make him WWE Champion for a year? I guess that would give him some respect. You keep saying Orton was forced on everyone and that his push was a bomb.. but look at JBL. Everyone think's he sucks except you and Zentile. He has crap wrestling skills and he is only slightly entertaining every once in a while. They change him from Bradshaw to JBL and gave him the WWE title, and now we have endured him as Champion for 10 months and counting. How's that for forced?
As for Orton again... I think they pushed him perfecly. No one expected him to beat Benoit and get kicked out of Evolution. That entire situation was one of the most exciting ones of 2004. Hell of a lot more exciting then watching JBL winning matchs against the entire Smackdown roster and against guys that have 10 times as much talent in the ring as he does.

When I see Orton. All I see is an average pretty boy wrestler with average wrestling and Mic skills, He just doesn't look like a Main-Eventer to me. I mean look how fast Orton ran with the World Title, only one month. the shortest sence Big Show's WWE title run in 2002. obeislly the WWE lost some faith in him to have such a short World Title run. and look where hes at right now.
As for JBL, as I mentioned million times before. he has an entertaining charater and personality, awesome on the Mic and above average in ring. all of which Orton lack. Ever sence JBL has been Champion, Smackdown! ratings hasn't gotten any better or worse this time last year, they just remained steady. and I've enjoyed alot of his matches with other SD! Main-Eventers. yeah, both Orton and JBL's push at the title were rushed, but at least JBL made the most of his run and improved himself charater and in-ring wise. Orton is just Orton.
JBL's title reign may seem forced when you put it like that, but here's what actually happened: JBL feuded Guerrero and got a title shot at Judgement Day. He won by DQ, so he did not get the title. The feud went on, and then he won it at the Great American Bash. Matches happened to lead up to that victory. Promos happened to lead up to that victory. Randy Orton was absolutely forced into us, because he wasn't even feuding with Benoit when he got the title. He lost the IC title, somehow still got a world title shot in a little battle royal on RAW, didn't even say a word to Benoit, won a tag match with him and BAM! Summerslam victory and a world title reign. That's just sad, and clear proof that Triple H overshadows talent. JBL had an established feud with Eddie Guerrero and had already fought a title match with Latino Heat. Orton had nothing. There wasn't even a promo montage leading up to the Summerslam match, even mid card non-title matches have those!
And really, who wasn't expecting Orton to win? It was all over the internet that the WWE wanted to make him a babyface and have him win the world title to make him the next Rock.
IMO, Orton's title reign was just alot more forced than JBL's. Not to mention the fact that Randy just suddenly turned into such a great guy, and did the royalties of ignoring Evolution's distraction when he pinned Chris Benoit, thus helping the destruction of Benoit's main event credibility, something which just helps his title reign tick me off alot more.

I agree with what you say Olympic about Orton, I donn't like him about as much as I don't like JBL, and I agree with Nikodemus about JBL being forced to us every week, not cause he's entertaining on the mic or in the ring, and not cause of his fantastic wrestling skills either, it's cause for whatever reason you and Zentile and Vince McMahon all seem to love the guy so much. You're right when you said "Ever sence JBL has been Champion, Smackdown! ratings hasn't gotten any better or worse this time last year, they just remained steady" reason in point is cause JBL can't draw any more money than the previous ones who held the belt before him. If Vince is smart, and I doubt it more and more, he'll look at SD's numbers in terms of rating, houseshow tickets sold, and SD only PPV buyrates, and realize that they haven't changed or have gone down with JBL as champ and he'll have JBL drop the title, and if it's given to someone more deserving like Taker, or Cena or Big Show even, maybe, and this is along shot, the numbers will improve. I'd rather either of the three aformentioned wrestlers to hold the belt, rather than see JBL hold it for another 10 months, and become more and more the Triple H of Smackdown.

I don' t find his character entertaining and niether do most WWE Fan's...he can talk just fine on the mic but most of the time it's just stupid crap coming out of that mouth. That entire segment with the Godzilla in Japan came off as completely retarded. I didn't laugh once during that entire segment. You say Orton has below average wrestling skills and that JBL has above average? You must be blind that guy has no freaking skills at all. I've never seen him pull off any cool moves. His matchs consist of punches and kicks and closelines leading into his closeline from hell which looks just like his regular closeline and then maybe a powerbomb. Wow that's what passes for above average huh?
So JBL made the most of his run...he has had the title for 10 months....Randy had his for what a week? Not really a good comparison. Specially since we all know that on RAW Triple H is the only one that can have the World Title. I guess we can compare JBL to Triple H then right...since he has had the title so many times for long periods of time....i guess he is a wrestling god too.
Here are my predictions:
JBL Vs Big Show.....JBL.
Cena Vs Angle....Cena.
Undertaker Vs Reigns.....Reigns. (with help from Jindrak)
Mysterio/Eddie Vs The Bashams.....Hopefully the Bashams. (Eddie is better off working alone)
Heidenreich Vs Booker T...Dunno about this one
6 Man Elimination Match....Funaki
Rookie Diva Contest...Who gives a s**t? Not me.

I don't think Orton's short title run had anything to do with Triple H, It had more to do with the WWE's lack of faith in him. if Triple H was deciding how long other superstars ran with the title, than Benoit wouldn't have had as long of a Title reign hes gotten. Ever sence Orton lost his title to Triple H, the WWE shifted their focus away from Orton and started focusing on Batista, and they've done a hell of a lot better job building Batista as a Main-Eventer than orton. I think if they would of taken their time building up Orton to Main-Eventer status instead of rushing him there, than maybe Orton would have had a more successful Main-Event run.
and JBL is a brawler, which is why some people don't like him, but not everyone has to be a great technicle wrestler doing a bunch of flashy moves to put on a entertaining match.
