I think Z is probably a forgone conclusion.
Also I got Mudkip and Piplup yay. Now to get breeding them and do some trading for others.
Edit Also got a few other pokebanks. Willing to help if y'all want Mudkip, Piplup, Chimchar, Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Treecko and Snivy as well as Feebas and Frillish.

Finally bred myself a decent Marill...
Adamant, Huge Power
HP: 26-27
Attack: 31
Defense: 26-27
Sp.Attack: Don't Care
Sp.Defense: 31
Speed: 31
Anybody want some relatively powerful Marill? They all have Superpower, Play Rough, Aqua Jet, and Belly Drum.

I'm not sure if other people do this (they probably do), but I've started monitoring the stats of my teams at Lv. 50.
Using the max stats section on Serebii.net, I check each stat of a pokemon to see if it's within the Beneficial Nature range. I look to verify that all stats for any pokemon in my teams lie within the Beneficial Nature range, and if it doesn't, I train for the EVs to bring the lacking stat(s) to that range.
Once I get the hang of this, my next step is to assure that the stats of my pokemon are at least at the limit of the Neautral Nature range.

That's not how natures and stats work. List of Natures

Yeah, man, SubMan's right. You actually have a lot more control of stats and natures than you'd expect, and unless you're clearing their EVs when you check the stats at level 50, you could be getting completely inaccurate information about your pokemon.
EV training guide.
IV guide.

The stat listings on the Serebii.net are set for each individual pokemon and each possible max stat according to a nature that hinders the stat, a nature that benefits the stat, and a nature that has no affect on the stat.
Because every pokemon has a different set of IVs, thus each nature having varied affects, each pokemon has a unique stat range.
It may have seemed as if I was generalizing stats and natures, which would be impossible to do. Also, I might have explained it the first time on the assumption that others were familiar with the site and its format.

DAMN. With the pokebank thing, is it possible to get the other starters through wonder trade?
I'm going back through the pages and didn't know most people here on MKO are playing the new one. That means I got friends to add! I'll post my code thing when my 3DS comes on Thursday.

Correction: when it was available. Only a handful of people got to use it because so many were trying to download and use it simultaneously. But hey, some have gotten lucky enough, and so are breeding and spreading around a bunch of rare, unavailable starters.

Yeah folk in diffetrent message boards are saying they are getting starters thru wonder trade.
I think there were a lot who got pokebank Jerrod judging by the amount of trading going on in serebii and gamefaq forums.
But as mentioned before I'm happy to breed some and trade.

Shiny Mega Gengar looks awesome
Speaking of shinies, they seem to be more common(?) in the X and Y games. I shouldn't say common, more like a bit more easier to obtain.

They're definitely more common. There are a number of ways of increasing the chances of getting one this game
Chain fishing
Chaining pokeradar
Increased chances in horde pokemon encounters
Increased chances in friend safari encounters
Matsuda breeding being more accessable due to Wonder Trade and GTS
Some people claim to get them every other day via fishing and safari. Ive only had one random shiny this game. A Gurdurr.

With much reluctance, I've decided to replace my Jynx and start over, training a Smoochum from the ground up.
I've been training Smoochum in the wild, and it's been going pretty well. It's the first time I ever won a battle with a Lv. 1 pokemon!
Currently, it's at Lv. 5.
