I wonder what is with all the references to sleep?
deep, sleep (combined would be deep sleep), dream. The word nap could be found in there if you wanted to make it part of it also. But like a lot of other words like vet and such. I'm going to guess they are just accidental words that were formed.

This is kind of a stretch, but maybe the time the countdown started on is actually the number of days before Christmas the game comes out. I was just thinking because the counter said Christmas Countdown. I estimate that would end up coming out to around October-November.

Christmas Countdown is just part of the widget. If you go to spring widget, and create your own, they all say "Christmas Countdown."

The first thing I noticed was that there were a bunch of numbers repeated, but only one 8. Since it is supposed to be tentatively "MK8", I think it has something to do with the riddle.

... Also I think there'll be fighting on the moon and there will be an Unreal Tournament crossover with MK and dinosaurs. I think if you look at the crossword you can see DNA and Freeze and Age and I think those are clues about a new ice age and the Unreal Tournament will be to stop it and the dinosaurs will get a chance to save their realm by fighting the new ice age for to stop the old ice age. It's all about your perspective. Oh! Perspective! I think also that maybe Obi-Wan Kenobi will be unlockable and maybe Darth Vader. It all depends on your perspective. lolololololz

Africa is going to be taking on a major role in MK8. Clues are the animals, the earth is showing Africa, a new character from Africa could be introduced. There could also be other solutions.

Did anyone else notice the the second earth is starting to get more color to it? It isn't as gray as it was when it first went from being the moon to being a gray earth.

Ed Boon is definitely going all out in this game. I think the Unreal Engine 3 was what he has always needed in making a MK game that he probably desired way back when he co-created original MK.

This is by far going to be his biggest project of MK and like all of us on here, we are all excited that he is still making these games.

These riddles that he comes out with are really messing with our minds and I guess he wants to know how much of a hardcore fanbase he really has even without any photos or footage of this next-gen MK. How far will they go to find out about the next-gen MK and how bad do they want it?

Don't be suprised if this Unreal Mortal Kombat game gets the attention of politians and fumed parents. Unreal Blood, Unreal Bone Shattering, Unreal Fatalities and Unreal Graphics which pretty much will make this game dark and gritty. He might just end up changing how many people feel about the Unreal Engine 3. Thats only because I've heard a lot of people complaining that they are already sick of too games are being developed with that engine.

We just have to wait and see until this noob.com counter ends.
