basically what it seems like this time around that you only wanna use quick lows and mids. mkda had high hitting moves that would hit you ducking. at least they corrected that.
i've been playing mostly jade, though. her bo stance seems real solid. the 2,3 pop up juggle starter has been working for me. her b,f+1 teleport is also something i abuse. teleport, mix up with a throw or either 2,3 or b+2. if you land a b+2 or a 2,3 go into 2,1,u+3 for 42% damage. mad easy, mad damage. her b,f+4 shadow kick also seems to hit when it shouldn't. b,f+2 projectile avoid seems ok but most of the projectiles in this are easily sidestepped/sidewalked anyway.."

I think it was versatile who said mkl came up with a more effective way to use sub zero...I looked through the last several pages and couldnt find it....can anyone copy paste it , tell me whats mkl's forum name, or at least tell me what page its on? Couldnt find it or anyone named mkl...

MAKE THEM COME TO U.

As for saying that Jade is all that.....well....her damage yes. The only thing about her that keeps me from giving her elite status is the fact that most of her moves have HORRIBLE recovery. That is her trade off. Yes she does hella damage but if you are every blocked you are meat and you can count on running out of breakers fast with her.

I am really starting to get worried about some of these numbers the game is putting out. I have noticed that on some combos I do, when I count the hits I get one or two hits less that what the game says I actually get. And sometimes the numbers per hit don't add up to the percentages.
Kira, in Kenpo U+1, U+1, U+1 = 3hit 33% but the hits go 16,10,6 which is 32. If you do the same combo after her Kiss of Death it equals 11% but the hits go 11,7,4 which equal 22%.

MKD's juggle system is wacked, but it's a helluva lot more fun and versatile than the MKDA one.
I'm going to comment and add onto MKL's post about Sub..

Now theres certain times where you're going to want to use something else other than Kori Blade, and here they are.
1. They are in your face when the round starts due to the positioning you 2 were left in after round 1-2. In this case it's best to go with Shotokan: d+1. Shit will beat out PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING they do. If it's block get ready to take some damage however, so you may want to mix that up with the cold shoulder if you're facing somebody you play a lot.
2. Obviously when they are out of breakers switch to shotokan after Kori: b+2 and go for Konqrr's 54%.

Make sure you're in the right space zone to clone, or else you'll end up getting raped due to Clone's recovery time. Also, do not be TOO predictable with the clone, for if they feel you are going to do one you can eat a retaliation free projectile. Freeze will be stepped and you will get zoned in on, so stray away from using it too much like Bill says.

My sub is just b+2,throw off a throw. I feel all that other stuff's risk/reward ratio is way to high/low to use the others he just suggests, but to each his own.

All this is the real deal as usual. Make sure when they have chip damage to cold shoulder their ass. When behind a clone sometimes also do a cold shoulder. If they dont expect it theres a small chance it will be punished. That's pretty much it.

First off it is extremely fast , stuns anyone you hit and even if they block you are safe leaving you to do a free f+3 b+3, hellfire, throw, or standing 3 into pop up. That is one insane mixup right there.
Also like mentioned before his sword stance is insane. Fucking f+1 d+1 all damn day.
I've said all this shit before but I dont see anyone using it. I think it's a must for any scorpion player. It's all you have to do!

After the standing 3 you can mix right into either a f+2 overhead into bycicle kick for crazy damage (and easy) ,a b+4 sweep, throw, low fireball, 1,1,3 rinse and fucking repeat lol or pretty much fucking anything haha. Liu is no joke.
Btw here are a couple of little things I never see done.
Noob smoke- With noob... After you throw with noob you get a free F,F,3... It's free!

When there are actual big time tournaments we can really start formulating one. Also, Ermac is good, maybe not top 15 but he can win if you play him smart..

Fu Jow Pai 111 hits, they are stunned like forever. FJP b+2 recovers like Li Mei's Mi Zong b+4 o_O...hits mid and DOWNED OPPONENTS O_o...From long range, mix up Kwan Do u+2 with u+1.
Anyways...Dairou is definitely the best, he's a cheap whore...Bo and Scorp are death to all as always. With Bo's throw combo (thanks MKL), the match is over very quickly.

As smoke d+1 throw over and over. Works kinda like a tick throw in sf. The only way out is to dash back. If you are in the corner you cannot get out. It cannot be broken with a combo breaker either.
If they arent in the corner and you want to infninite just throw, back up a step or 2 and jump kick right before the guy falls down and throw again... Repeat. This one can be broken with a breaker but it works pretty much everywhere. A throw is 100% free off of a jump kick.
Hotaru ashrah and knightwolf all have the same infinite. My friend doesnt want me to blow it up though.

OK, question for you experts. I was playing a bunch of games against CaliPower tonight and he kept spoiling my rushdown by getting up to the side. I don't know what move he is doing, but my high/low move would miss by 90 degrees and he would appear on my character's side as he got up. This usually happened when he was playing Ermac. This isn't a character-specific move, is it? If not, how do you do it?
Can you just hold up or down as you get up to get up with a roll to that side? I know you can roll to the side as soon as you hit the ground from the air, but can you do the same as you get up? If you can do that, it's news to me. I haven't played MK since MK2, so excuse my ignorance if this is common knowledge, but it sure makes it tough to rushdown when your moves are whiffing as your opponent gets up.
