That is not legit. The ways of making combos (in air) legit are in multiples of 3 because of Shang Tsung in offline play. He can do 3 popups without planting. That is where the idea comes from. So its like this...

pop up,33,33,33,pop up,33,33,33,finisher.

^^^That is the only way that it works.

I got another half stupid question, I kinna started using Noob, and I know his 1, 1, cs but I see other people doing 3 hits before cs, looks like the 1, 1, B+2. I haven't seen it listed but it's a 4 hit combo instead of 3?

ok, let me explain 2 ways of high level play, legit and normal.

Legit High Level play- I just made this up, but people seem to play this way..so yeah. It is where people use BALANCED (aka legit) characters to there fullest potential, sometimes banning characters or infinites.

Normal High Level play- (not intended for broken games) Is where you are allowed to use EVERY character to their fullest potential without banning anything.

The only games I can think of that involve Normal high level play are:
-Tekken 5: Dark Resurection
-Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
-Marvel Vs Capcom
and maybe a few others.

As many people there are playing with legit and illegitimate (non-stop) A/C combos and such, I still choose not to learn them. If I did learn and use them, I'd be a hypocrite.

Meathook, that's just how this game is played. Air cancels are just part of the game. It's what the game gives us, so we might as well use it. The only things that are truly illegitimate are infinites, bosses, and KAKs. Other than that, you're free to use whatever you want. Use Sareena's 5 knives to knife-throw glitch. Use 33s with Noob or whoever. Do whatever you need without stepping over that true illegitimate line.

MKDA isn't that bad to play at high level ether, almost anyone can compete besides bottom 5 tier. It would be awesome if MKA was atleast like that besides having over 5 GOD tier..

so how are you guys doing 11 cancels? Offline too.

offline : just do 11 near the ground, and do the ground combo as soon as you land

online: same exact way, but with lag, there is delay between the first and second 1, so in the middle of those hits, press 1 a couple times to speed up the frames. ( just press 11111 before the 3rd hit would register ) then jump instantly after the second hit connects to do another 11 cancel

This game is so much better offline. Its faster, funner, no "free" shit or infs(as far as I know)((well at least none that do HEAVY damage)), and Sareena is mid tier LOL.

Their are infs and freegrabs offline even wall infs but, I agree that mka is faster offline.

I know that Bo's 4 in weapon leads to free hits, also Kenshi 3 in first stance has the same properties.

My question is, are there other characters who have moves that also give free hits?

No other move has that property but those two attacks.

bo rai cho: 24 in stick ( found by ganon )

kenshi: 3/33 in tai chi ( found by karate )

raiden: 44 in stick ( found by check in mka )

online: anytime 2 hits trade off with each other, whoevers recovers first gets free hits. ( found by anyone with half a brain in mkd )

glitch throws: after a glitch throw is performed, theperson who got thrown can do almost any attack into another one. for example: escrima - f2, b1


air throw otg: when 4 is done after a air otg ( 33 ) on the ground, it leads into free ground attacks. for example: drahmin pop up jump 33, 4... land, 11 free throw. ( only works on horrible connections )

Is Smoke a legit character? I don't remember the name, but someone quit on me saying that "smoke screen" wasn't fighting fair. I don't think it's much differant then him/her abusing Scorpion's popups and Hellfire, but I just thought I'd ask anyway.

I need some fucking help! Okay I know how to do air kombos but im just not getting how to do the air cancel then kombo then air cancel again type stuff. I dont even know how to air cancel! So will some very good player be willing to grab their mic and show me the tricks of trade. I would apreciate it highly
