I don't have that kind of pull at this place to be able to make requests like that, the area available for TVs and console games is always taken up entirely so it's not going to happen. Tell versatile to play some UMK3, I know he plays on SNES, looks like there's definitely going to be enough players for a tournament, at the very least a round robin. Right now the most like possible list: Shock, DreemerNJ, Phi, Busta, Rob, Red Gouki, Check, Versatile, and guys I know who are always at the Break for tournys: Julian, VDO, 50 Cent, Dave, and Jeron. Jaytalo told me he's going to try to make it, and ded_'s friend from Bulgaria will be living in the states during the time of the tournament so that's a possible 15 players, I expect 8 to actually show/play, and there's also always the chance for Chicago and Virgina, that's another 6 players.
Make this happen folks.

I'll be there to watch and root on Check, but I really cannot play UMK3 on stick. I've never done it before, and it will be like playing a new video game to me.

Sweet, it'll be nice to meet another MKO person. BTW, if you haven't already, you should check out www.TheBreak.net, the homepage for 8 On The Break. Oh and at the risk of wandering off topic, you should try the awesome cheese steaks they make there... five bucks for the cheese steak, soda, and fries, it's great!just wanted to confirm it, ill definitly be there

I have never met Eric personally, but Prophet told me a lot of stories about him.
my condolences
it would be nice to know what happened to him, he was always better than me, it was around 60-40 him usually, but i owned him in mk4
the good old days, switching off rounds on people, man that was great
i suppose you were there during the day, because whenever i got there after school, there was always a large group of mk'ers leaving, or on their way out
such a shame we never played, even crazier that u never saw eric, that i find funny considering he was a legend at TimeOut
one day, i hope to see him again... ill never forget u man
i wish i coulda met ryan and asked him where he was at, again my deepest condolence. i had no idea, dreamer PM'd me a little while ago.
take care man, ill see u soon

I didn't get around to Time Out that much. I live about 45 minutes from the Freehold Mall and I was only around 14 at the time so transportation meant having my mother drive me. Ryan told me that it was a regular trip for him and his father to go to the mall on a Friday so he was there at least once a week, probably more. The only time I really remember playing with a big crowd is the first time I ever played UMK3. I shut down the entire contingent of players, I guess because it was still new to everyone, because they all used mostly MK3 characters. After picking Scorpion I beat some guy who was abusing Teleport Uppercuts with Sektor, beating everyone. I blocked one, did aaHP, harpoon, 4 hit combo and for some reason at that point I realized UMK3 was something I wanted to be good at. After that Random Select was my friend and I eventually left, undefeated, spending only 50 cents. I never remember there being a really big crowd after that any time I went, no more than a few people, but that first time I went there was a dozen people standing around the machine at least.

I had a very similar experience (several times, actually) with MK2. When it first came out my friend and I would trade rounds beating out the huge crowds....for MK2 there were literally 30+ people watching/waiting to play and we'd beat them all. I played for hours on end everywhere I went on only 25/50 cents, it was great. I miss those times.

Last time at the Break I had 14 wins in a row of 2 on2, spanned over 7 other players in UMK3, it was definitely reminiscent of those days that's probably close to an hour's worth of gaming on FREEPLAY lol, and Busta actually blew my spot, I had to do something, actually I think I just stepped down and taped, but I quickly took over the controls and put my initials in for the 14 - lol
The current turnout expectancy for ECC11 is pretty good. There will definitely be a tournament, probably round robin. Gotta work on arrangements for Konqrr to try and get him out here.

Hahaha yeah I remember taking over the controls for that one match... and that was the end of the streak. A truly unceremonious way to end the streak, yes... that was like your Montreal screwjob finish right there. Hey if you want I'll hold the camera this time Oh man, and now I'm thinking about cheese steaks... yum. Heh heh another friend of mine wants to go. I'll definitely oblige him, he says he's played a lot of Mortal Kombat but I don't think he has any idea what he's in for.

The turnout right now, as people have told me they are "definitely" going, is over 10 right now, not counting who is always there.

I'm really new to this so please bear with me.
I'd like to play UMK3 on my PC. I guess the question is, how do I go about doing this?
Please enlighten me folks!
