Most irritating thig in newest MK games is blocking. Look, it doesn't even work properly in MKA. And, anyway, it looks strange - to block a sword or axe with your bare hands. Perhaps it would be better to get rid of blocking at all, replacing it with a system of combo-breaking and counter-attacking. Besides, it can make the game a bit... Faster. More adrenaline, etc - you cannot just block and wain for a pause in opponent's combo. Instead of that, you'll have to focuse on every moment of the game, as any of your combos can result in opponent's counter attack.

Well, I like super-weapons you pick up in the middle of arena. They shouldn't get rid of em, just make em more deadly, fast. To make it worth picking em up.
As for the characters, I would gladly get rid of Onaga. He's a pure cheat, with all these unblockable (see what I meant in previous post?) super-attacks.

One of my friends had an idea the other day about Shang Tsung. We know that the reason Shang can't morph is because of the cd, it doesn't have instant access to a ROM like the arcade did, or something like that if I remember right.

If they just gave Shang Tsung certain special moves that involved him morphing into other characters but the morph is actually part of the animation instead of accessing data that could work right? You wouldn't actually be morphing but it is a compromise. Maybe let him morph into characters that don't return in the current game and pull off one of their special moves.

Also anybody else notice that when you win in mk vs dc but don't do a fatality with Shang it looks like he still steals your soul and morphs into the other character? You don't even have to fatality with Shang! I haven't played in a while so correct me if I am wrong.

It's Shang's victory pose. I guess they added it for coolness, idk.

Sonya and Kitana have to literally be deminished for good!

That was a fatality.

Your idea is probably the most practical and bipartiasan way I see.

Yeah, I mean it isn't a substitute for actually morphing like the mk2 days, but I think it could work. Some people really miss the morphing aspect of the character. I can go with or without the morphing. I really like his mkda and mk vs dc incarnations. But it might please some of the Shang fans and get around the loading time issues.

To: BloodSplatter-ChainsawMan- Shang Tsung does morph into the characters then reverts back for his victory pose. You do not have to do a Fatality. grin
