I'm 90% sure these are just placeholder silhouettes to avoid anyone successfully guessing before the reveal. I've seen it done many times with other fighting games.

They all have a very similar build and I'd imagine we'll get at least one more female.

Hoping for: Fujin, Li Mei, Smoke, Sareena. With Rain as a free gift.

Think we'll get: Fujin, Rain, Baraka and a female. Everyone seems to think Sindel but I can't imagine them selling one of the least played characters from the last game as DLC. I think casuals are only requesting her because you can fight against her in the story. No disrespect to the character though, I'm just not sure the casuals who have been requesting her would actually play as her in the long run.

Placeholder silhouettes huh? Then why have two of them resemble exact characters from the story? There's not going to be any new characters, that would take a lot more work, outside of one guest character maybe..

I'm hoping at least one of them is nobody that's on anybody's mind - even jokingly - and will blow away expectations.

When I first saw this, I thought I saw Smoke at #1 and Bo at no 4. I thought a robot was possibly #3 (I was and am still not sure), and that #2 was fake, because it looked like Wolverine. We'll see. There's surely got to be a Funion (Fujin) in there, right?

Anyway, I can now see Baraka (sigh) as a possible #1, but I have no clue for 3. Maybe Sindel, if her collar's raised? It looks like a dude, though. . . And that "collar" looks hairy.

The funny thing is, I dreamed a couple of weeks ago about Wolverine being in MKX. His primary was the Hugh Jackman version in a bomber jacket, with a dark yellow version off his first appearance as an alt. His X-Ray was jumping through a window and stomping on the opponent's head Mario-style for some reason....

I'm not even huge on Fujin but he needs to be in here. So does Bo. They deserve it.

I don't see the resemblance if I'm honest, they just look like generic silhouettes to me. We'll see by the end of the day anyway so there is no point arguing about it.

I agree with you about the no new characters though, I think it'll be npc's since they already have the models.

LOL looks like they won't reveal anything today and they will go back to teasing the characters one by one. Of basically reveal the whole pack at Christmas. With a release date as far as the first half of 2016, it's safe to say they have entered the development of their next title.

Honestly, the hype died long ago for me and I really don't care anymore. That might be just me folks, no need to frown at me.

Based on the shapes, my guesses are:

Left: Noob
Left-Middle: Rain
Right-Middle: Baraka
Right: Bo Rai Cho

The one on the left definitely appears to be a ninja and looks like he has Noob's arms from his MKD look. The next one's head shape seems somewhat similar to Rain's new mask. The shoulders on the middle-right look like something Baraka would have (or rather, the shadow of what he's wearing). The last seems slightly heavier set, and Bo Rai Cho is pretty much the only character that looks even slightly big-boned.

Of course, that's assuming Boon's actually using their real silhouettes. These could be fakes.

If they are real though, I'll be kinda sad. That sounds like a REALLY safe Kombat Pack to me. Baraka's my favorite character, but I'd still like his story death to mean something or have some discernible impact. Keep him out one game.

I was also really hoping for Fujin and Sareena.

So I'm assuming new KP in 2016, Komplete edition in 2-3Q 2016, then announcement of new game

I was just about to post that from an article I saw on IGN. First half of 2016 seems like quite a while to wait since we have have 4 months of nothing. I am really excied about this but with games like Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront coming out in November hopefully its worth enough to dust this game off if I tend to fade out of playing it.

Also...Do you really think they'd make us wait til 2016 for characters who already had models in game and were NPC? I don't think so.

I think Fujin and Bo are locks, not so much for Rain, Sindel, and the like.

If I get Fujin (left), Cyrax (#3) and Bo' Rai Cho (right) right, I'll at least be content. I'm hoping #2 is Rain, although the outline doesn't match his MKX design at all, and it's just a very weird looking model.

Maybe it's a placeholder because his outline would be too obvious?

So long as there's no Guest Characters i'm not particularly bothered who is in and who isn't, though I would love to see Fujin.
