That'd be great, but like I said on another forum, I wouldn't hold my breath for free characters. I just can't see WB being that kind, even if NRS wants to be.

Goro was free. All we had to do was pre-order MKX, which was free.
I have this gut feeling that we will have to buy the pit stage separate from the KP2. Perhaps they'll sneak Rain in with the stage bundle. Classic hidden character style.

The DLC is yours until the end of time. You think I'd be spending $60 bucks on two Kombat Packs if I could only keep them for a certain amount of years? Haha, no, I'd be waiting for the Komplete Edition just like you.

Well, a Komplete Edition getting extra characters would be fine with me, since I don't buy DLC anyway. I got the Komplete Edition of MK9, the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5, and I'm planning to get Injustice's Ultimate Edition at some point.
Downloadable content's not a bad concept, but when a console's online support ends, will you still own the DLC you bought? Because if that were the case, then DLC would be worth buying. But if not, screw that. Extra content's not that important to me.

Yeah. Add to that now X-Box is bringing in backwards compatibility by the end of the year and the plan is that all those games DLC will still work as well. I wouldn't be surprised if within' the next year or two Sony finds a way to make that happen for them, too.

PS Now will have to die a slow painful death before that happens...and usually, Sony seems to like to prolong the agony for as long as possible*.

Right but it still wasn't really a hand-out. It was incentive to throw them your $60 early. You can't preorder the game again to get Rain.
So what I meant was that I sincerely doubt that WB will allow NRS to hand out a fully fleshed out character that required Mokap, a VA, and paychecks for QA testers. Not when there's money to be made off Rain (or other characters), and all the aforementioned processes costed them money. That's the difference between WB and NRS. WB will be looking at it strictly from a business perspective.
