The point is, MK already shown us some pretty nasty stuff, i mean in the last game, Kahn nearly eradicated all humans, and nobody got upset about that, because in the end he was defeated and only a few thousands had to die.
Yes, you didn't see it directly as the people got butchered, but probably a rape scene wouldn't be made ether, just mentioned.

My line of thinking, to clarify, is that it seems in bad taste. I know victims of both rape and molestation, admittedly not overly closely, but meeting someone like that leaves a profound mark on you. I cannot say I've met anyone who has been beaten to death with their own leg, but brutality is brutality and I have no way of knowing if that could trigger any sort of similar feelings. Certainly Kahn as a despot conjures up the images of attrocities committed in our own world, as you pointed out.

I will reiterate that the inclusion of rape, as well as child molestation (which I so flagrantly and shamefully used to make a point), in my opinion would be in poor taste. That being said, I'd never hope to quash the creative direction of anyone; only that they entertain commonly held tenets of decency in their creative process.

This problem is way more simple than that.
If someone is a victim of rape/molestation, of course he/she has got deep mental wounds, and if they couldn't handle it over time, or it is a fresh "experience" it is natural that they leave a mark on you as well (if you are a normal person in that regard).
What about those who saw war? Killing, figthing, homicide, torure etc. I think you know what results that has. Some of these soldiers can be more damaged mentally, than a victim of abuse/rape, not to mention the ones that didn't want to wage war, just happened to live there (don't get me wrong i'm NOT trying to rank these traumas).

My point here is that, if brutal dismembering, torturing another is fine, than what is the big deal with rape? Yes I understand, that some people might find these games offending, because they had something terrible happened to them, but it's a game! You can choose to play it or not.

It would be poor taste. This game has always been known about the fatalities and the violence and gore. It doesn't need more controversial stuff because people want it. I'm not going to rank what's worse, being mutilated to death or getting raped, but I'd rather see some fantasized killing that I know is fictional rather than hearing that some character is raped.

I've been a victim of it, it's tiresome to see people use it in fan fiction while getting it all confused with sex, it's not something Id like to see get put in my favorite series when it's never gotten that desperate to move in that direction. It's just not something I would like to see get put in even if it's just being me mentioned. It bothers me really.

And if for some random reason it's thrown in, whatever. I'd be disappointed in the direction the writer's went, but it won't warrant me to sell my game back. I just don't care to see stuff like that. This game is totally fantasized. None of it is real. But to start throwing in some real shit that CAN happen to people... eh... no thanks. Keep it still as a fantasy, not make it start being realism.

And if anyone still has a problem with me disagreeing with it (I.e that idiot who told me to stop crying and being a bitch about it) I would like for you to keep your opinions about me to yourself and get the fuck over it. I get Black's post because ever since the announcement of decendants were mentioned, people keep thinking other characters are related to one another. Which, in a way, is kind of funny to see all these theories. But still, no to Reiko being related to Sindel.

Adding character depth by doing that won't work. People already hate Sindel for 2011, let's have a character who isn't popular be related to a hated character.

I don't have a problem with her but many do... That and I don't see how that would make Reiko become popular amongst the fans.

Sindel did kill them, but it was on Raiden's account and stupidity. So truly, Raiden is the culprit and should be the one hated on.

From what I've seen, Raiden's stupidity has been overlooked. They still don't care for what Sindel has done.

Not to mention, I guess she's not a fan favorite anyways. I don't know why, I always thought she was a great character in 2011 because her combos and moves are just great but... she's not that well-liked.

So, like I said, why make Reiko the son of someone who isn't care for that much in the series anyways?
