Would be pretty shitty. After MK4 it was more of a running gag than a serious consideration that Reiko is actually Kahn.

Reiko is an amazing character but he isn't Shao Kahn but he might have remnant powers from him though. I still believe Torr is Shao Kahn but that is my opinion.

Why I think...

1. Shao had a chest injury, which lead him to be hunched over.
2. Torr has Shao Kahn like armour.
3. NRS is keeping Torr's identity under wraps.

We may know who Torr is some point through story-mode or may not know at all.

I'm pretty sure Torr is an original character. Torr being Shao Kahn is the dumbest theory I've heard for MKX, sorry just being real.

So many dumb things about it. Reiko looks nowhere near Shao Kahn's size, Shao Kahn already has exact clones of himself, he shouldn't have to be in disguise. Why would he disguise himself as some peasant like Reiko anyway? I'd wanna sit on my throne all day like I should if I was him. If it would be true it would be nowhere near a surprise. Not even in MK4 was it that shocking that he could be Shao Kahn. He looks like a professional Shao Kahn wannabe to being with. And for the storyline of MK9 and MKX I would be beyond frustrated if Shao Kahn was back again in the form of a freaking Reiko.

Reiko is Kahn? Wrong. Reiko Kahn. Or maybe Kotal will die in MKX and return in the next game as...ReiKotal Kahn!

The idea of Torr being Kahn is also reeeally stupid. As I said about Reiko, why would Shao Kahn disguise himself as a guy with a bag on his head who never talks, and gets abused by an imp lady? Why would the Almighty Shao Kahn subject himself to that for some dumb ruse?

As for them "keeping his identity a secret", how about we wait until the game comes out before we say they're even doing that? We have no idea at all what his implications on the story would be, we still don't even know why he's with Ferra. Wait until we get some info on him, or lack thereof, when the game comes out before we say "his identity is a secret". As of right now he's just a big puppet for Ferra, if he never talks then it doesn't matter if he has an identity or not since Ferra would be the central idea for the character. And besides, we're talking about a franchise that has had masked characters in it since day one, why are we all of a sudden claiming that this guy's identity is a huge secret just because he's masked? He's probably just really disfigured or something.

The fuck? Why should Torr immediately be revealed who he is before the game is even released? We don't even know who Ferra is, and she's wearing a Japanese symbol on her headband that translates to Queen.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, they may reveal who he is through story-mode. So, don't get ahead of yourself and say why should he be immediately revealed. As for Ferra, she is in question.

Kahn being Torr would be too predictable, and it wouldn't make sense after what we saw at the end of 2011's story mode.

Basically it would mean that Kahn's soul would have been wondering around in the Netherrealm (I assume his soul would go there after he died), and somehow got it wondering around whatever realm these two are from and took control of Torr? The same thing goes to those who think Sub-Zero is Kahn.

It doesn't add up, especially after what we witnessed when we beat the story mode.

You know, we can have characters in the game who's identity doesn't need to be immediately revealed to us or revealed at all. Well I mean it wouldn't not make sense. Shao Kahn is a dangerous being who has escaped the claws of death again and again. So it would make sense that once the Elder Gods got a hold of him, that they would repurpose him as a lesser being who would be no threat to the realms.

I'm not saying I believe this theory but I'm just saying it doesn't not make sense. And when has NRS ever steered away from doing stupid predictable twists? *points at Cyber Sub-Zero and Smoke*

Quan Chi's arcade ending states he's dead, but of course, we can't take that as a "for sure" ending because we don't know how the arcade endings take place in the story. (I'm assuming arcade and story are two separate stories but one never knows)

Shao Kahn's death had him being taken by the Elder Gods and shooting him into the sky, then explodes which causes the realms to be merged to come to an end. Is he really dead? We don't know, he could be in the Heavens locked forever, he could very well be dead for sure.

From the information that we've gotten with how Kotal is emperor and just other stuff, it really seems like Kahn is long gone right now. But I'm not taking it as a definite. They could do stuff with Kahn in the future, but I really don't think he'll have any kind of presence other than maybe be shown in flashbacks or something.

I don't see him as Torr, I don't see him as Sub-Zero. Yes Netherrealm Studios' story writing is heavily flawed, but I just don't see Kahn being in this game or having a big role in this.
