i like the idea of reiko being sindels son. Some were speculating that reiko could be shao kahns son. i thought of this.

As Sindel was forced to be shao kahns wife, she became pregnant by shao kahn, resulting Reiko to be born. Kept it secret from everybody, especially shao kahn himself. Raised Reiko for a short time in disguise. Made him believe that his father failed to protect them, and is killed right after he was born. killed by the ruler of outworld. and should avenge his father.

(Sindel basicly tricks Reiko to believe that his father, Shao kahn, is the murderer of his father. she thinks Reiko has the potential to defeat shao kahn as he's shao kahn son)

Than she tells Reiko to find the demon sorcerer, Quan chi. Explains about the brotherhood of shadow. And that he can find them in the Netherrealm.

"Join the demonic cult and learn their dark arts, black magic and necromancy" "when that is learned, serve shao kahn. join his army and observe Shao kahn in the closest possible way"

So on, Reiko went to the netherrealm. There to meet the demon sorcerer Quan chi. Aksed if he could join the brotherhood. Quan chi answered,

"pherhaps, but first explain who send you and why you want to join"

Reiko answerd, to avenge his parents and that a woman named sindel gave directions to this place. Quan chi understood he came from outworld. Than asked, who his parents were. Reiko answered that he cant remember as he was just a baby when it happend.

Quan chi master of deception, knows that not all is told or is right. still he accepted Reiko to there evil cult, brotherhood of shadow.

"those eyes, the hair..." Quan chi is almost sure hes Sindel's son as she send him aswell. and offcourse has his evil plans

Time past by, dark arts are mastered. Reiko went back to outworld, so to serve Shao kahn's army. For many years of great work, he has proven himself worthy to Shao kahn. So received his position of general. This is what Sindel asked Reiko to do. Its only a matter of time and the right moment... Will Reiko succeed to defeat shao kahn? but is that what Reiko whants? pherhaps he just whants to take over his place and be ruler of outworld...

I think Reiko could replace shao kahn. Has no emotions developed over his life i think it could work

I always thought Reiko trying to take the throne from Shao Kahn was one of his appealing qualities. I mean with him being the general of Kahn's army, the set up was there, but no action was ever taken.

And besides, why shouldn't Shao Kahn rape anyone? He is evil, he can do that, and it's not like you would show it directly as, he torns off sindels's clothers, slaps her face, than bangs her in front of her child before he sliths her throat.

My point is that if an evil character does something evil, what's the big deal with it? He is evil to begin with, you just have one more reason to hate him/her.

You know this MKX is going to be as dark and adult as the nanny sensibilities of the west allow it. Gore and blood is A-ok, but sexuality is something that the poor hapless puritanical overwatch of the USA cannot handle.


MK is neither that dark and serious as, let us say, Silence of the Lambs, or that grotesque as soemkthing where there is a literal god of hermaphroditic rape that goes so beyond the line that it becomes funny.

I can't see Sindel being raped. She's too strong and prideful. Not saying Kahn couldn't or wouldn't do it but that would contradict her stature as a powerful character.

It doesnt need to be rape if Sindel had a plan in mind. Than it would be a strategic move of her instead of forced seks.

Because it's not needed. It is not something that appeals cool that something like that happened in this game. Just because Kahn is an evil character doesn't mean he needs to do every single criminal act in the book to make me hate him even more. I'm sorry but it's a subject I don't think Mortal Kombat needs to have in order for it to be even darker or scarier. I don't even think it can be written well enough if the writers were to give it a shot, they're not great writers.

Go watch Law and Order Special Victims Unit if you really want to see shit like that.

Once again I'm with Icebaby on this. Can we just not? Reiko is probably one of the least important unquestionably bland characters in the mortal kombat franchise.

The guys moves have gone from generic to creepy Shao Kahn fandom. And yet through all of this we still have no sense of personality with this character. Nothing to make him stand out

And no I don't care if you try and say that little bit of dialogue in Amrageddon fleshed him out. Because it didn't. It's not enough. Can we all just stop trying to bring this character to prominence?

Fuck I never get how characters like him and Tanya can come up so much while awesome characters like Drahmin and Sheeva get shit on constantly and are the preferred characters who the fans wish to do away with.

I just want someone to bring back the shriukens, rather it's Reiko or a new character.
