I'm looking forward to seeing an aged Sonya. If she's playable she'll probably be one of the first female fighting game characters that looks over 40!

I'm curious to see what they'll do with Johnny Cage. If he's older and more serious they'll probably change his name to Johnathan/John Cage.

As for Sonya....If she doesn't have a good outfit, Or the 2P of whatever outfit she has isn't red like it was in MK4/MK1, If she doesn't have her kiss of death fatality, Or if she doesn't spout KOMBAT TIME! not even once in aaaalllll the dialogue these characters are getting then fuck her I don't care.

Why does everyone think that a story mode appearance means playable? By that logic then Motaro should have been confirmed playable in MK9. NOTHING new was said in the interview and nothing was confirmed. You Sonya/Johnny fans should really keep your hopes in check.

Boon has really emphasized interactions between relatives. It's pretty obvious they'll be playable.

Ed Boon stated that some characters will have aged versions, that will differ not only in appearance, but also in gameplay. Cage and Sonya are human characters and will grow older as the story progresses. They are also main figures to the storyline. They also confirmed Cage and Sonya will have aged versions in story mode, do you REALLY think they're not some of the characters Boon was referring to when talking about aged versions and differences in gameplay?

This. While the two have not officially been confirmed, we should assume that since they WILL play a big role in the story mode, they will run into some kind of trouble and have to fight, thus making them necessary playable characters.

Why not? If you guys (some not all) can write off certain characters because of their deaths in the MK9 story, shouldn't the inclusion of 2 "survivors" of that story in MKX make you happy?

I've never minded their inclusion because I'm more in the MK4 character that isn't Quan Chi that'll be on the roster.
