the reception to Tanya has mainly been "she looks bad" to "what the hell happened to Tanya?". No doubt fan reaction influenced an "improvement" but to see the creative team even denounce the in-game model is really shocking :O

Whoever transitioned her design from concept to in-game model really messed up. Hopefully she gets a better reception when officially released.

personally i like her current face but would prefer her to have the same skin tone as she was in the past.

Whatever they choose to do with Tanya, I hope it's epik. I hope she still looks somewhat the same, it would be a little bit messy to see 2 different Tanyas within the same game, because of Storymode. lol

I hope they mostly focus on giving Tanya some epik variations, moves and fatalities. I extremely look forward to hearing her dialogues.

I'm also hoping for awesome variations! My guess is one with the kobu jutsu, one based around her fire magic, and then I don't know. Maybe an invisibility variation? I'd like something sorcery-esque like what Quan Chi and Shinnok have, personally.

It bothers him (in an extreme way) that i have continued to voice disappointment / negative opinions on a video game character's design (MKX Tanya). But i don't really stop because hes not a moderator nor am i doing anything that is against the rules. And since he can't tell me what to do, his route is to be very rude to me everytime i bring up wanting new changes to Tanya's MKX design, basically.

but its okay. If he wants to go out of his way to holler / rage / argue at me to make himself feel better, then he can go right ahead. I'm not bothered by what others choose to do with their time. When you spend 11 long years awaiting the return of your favorite female character, praying and hoping they return, and then they finally do and yet a pack of people decide to take this opportunity to do nothing but complain and bash her, it's annoying and irritating. Especially when those people really have no clue what they want themselves. They call MKX Tanya manly, yet they loved everything about Rupaul Dragrace Deception Tanya, manly voice and all. They hate her lightened skin, yet they refuse to acknowledge it was about this complexion during gameplay of Deception(yes, she was much darker in her renders but in gameplay she was lighter).

All of this shit is now leading us to possibly having two different looking Tanya's in the game. Storymode Tanya and actual DLC Tanya. Fucking mess.

I'm not looking forward to coming in this thread and seeing nothing but look shaming. Seriously, she can be the best fighter in the game and several of these picky queens and misogynists will completely ignore that and do nothing but spend the next four years talking about her fucking face, hair, and skin.

Why don't we do that with the men, eh? Why are we just doing it with Tanya? Because she's a woman? Why must she be based on looks alone?

Ahnka I care about her skin tone because lightening black women's skin is racist as hell and we should fight against it when it happens in media. Tanya was lighter in Deception than in MK4, yes, renders aside, but come on. In story mode in MKX she looks like a white woman. I don't care how "manly" she looks, I care that they don't whitewash her. That's a legitimate concern that isn't petty or shallow.
