Drag queen contest? Are you serious? Tanya had WAY more manly features in Deception lol. Don't get me wrong, I loved her in MKD, but there is no denying she had a strong jaw and a unfeminine voice in that game. And that was cool, it made her intimidating, but it's obvious that for MKX they are going back to her MK4 look this time. She in no way looks like a drag queen, that's stretching it too far.

As for skin color, I hate taking it there because it really shouldn't matter, but Tanya is not full black. If she were, that beautiful straight hair she has would be more like Jacqui's. In MK4 she appeared pretty light skinned as well.

The drag queen comments about Tanya has been around since Deception. That's nothing new- just people repeating ten year old insults.

One thing that I think attributes to that argument is the black eye shadow/mask she has around her eyes- which ironically debuted in Deception. I personally had never been fond of that but I think it looks pretty neat in this game.

Fact of the matter is- It's been ten years since Tanya has had a re-design. Ten years of us seeing her with the same look, ten years of us putting our own visions of what we'd think a new Tanya would look like. Sadly, it was obvious some people were not going to be happy. But there comes a point where they just have to get over it. I'm really not looking forward to four more years of drag queen and hair comments.

I want the Tanya in your sig Here is hoping for an alternate outfit, and a skin tone fix. Since I am getting the PC version, I am sure someone will make make a mod to "fix" those issues. So long as she has the low corkscrew + leg split combo, I guess I will be happy with her. And, purple MK4 fireballs!!

Believe me, I feel you 100%! I think it would be nice if they could release a "Classic Tanya" skin with the proper skin tone and the white eyes(though I have a STRONG feeling the white eyes will definitely appear in one of her variations, especially if they address her magical abilities).

They've done her good. She's definitely interesting characterization wise and her model looks much better in game, in motion. She looks great, such a bitch too. Trying to free Edenia with Rain apparently.

They were pretty cool looking. Before she grabbed them they were at her sides so I think they might play into her variations.

Mileena called her "dearest Tanya" iirc so maybe they have a good rapport going. A twisted version of the Kitana and Jade friendship.

Bit ironic, on my part, that I LOVED Tanya's new look in MKD, yet am still trying to warm up to this new look. I am actually all for the Egyptian influence for her outfit, its just something about her hair/face. Seems trite, but us MK fans are fanatical about our fighters. I thought Tanya was a sexy but deadly fighter in MKD, and had a blast with her combos. I think the issue, for me, might just be the forehead + bangs combo gives off a... almost a caveman look? Don't know how else to put it. But, I will hold off further moaning, and have faith that things will change before she is ready for dlc. I am not a Cassie fan, but I admit she looks much, much better than when we first saw her Summer 2014. Also, I agree with the other forum poster that Tanya MUST have a boomerang move, if not a variation that features it! If they want to do a tonfa variation as an ode to MKD, that is cool, too. I say forget #punchwalk, us Tanya fans need #purplefireball!

like this one comment i read on youtube put it. she actually looks like a much prettier / feminine version of Khloe Kardashian. Middle eastern + Caucasian features were thrown on her this time around.

and i do think the very sinister looking eyes were done like that on purpose since shes evil and is allied with Mileena. It may be ugly to some but i find them suitable to her character.

And i hope we get an alt palette of her primary look cause i still can't with this dookie green-yellow color.

As someone who loathed what we could see of her in the kombat pack trailer........... things are looking a littttttle better.

With the whole look, I"m mostly happy. Love the dark, tight pants, and doesn't look too crazy bad. I still think the top is lazy and whoever designed it doesn't know shit about accessorizing a one-shoulder shirt like that with a necklace..... chunky is a no-no.

I don't really like the sassy regina george vibe for Tanya, but I can move past it.

The white-washing is rather shameful in all honesty.... and bizarre/pointless.

How could they forget that she was brown-skinned? It'd be like rendering Sonya as a ginger... What she wears, what her hair's like, whatever, that changes... But her skin colour? Really?

I'm sure they didn't think of it as a race thing, but I'd really like someone to figure out why changing skin colour for a character is a good idea?

I'd love to see an alt or variaton with that Halle Berry haircut look from the concept art! It suits her and her new look surprisingly well.

Even though she is not on the roster from day one, I'm really pleased with the development and attention she is receiving in this game. It's great!!

MKX Tanya was full of surprises for me. First her new looks (wasn't everyone?)
Now her voice. Not that it's bad, just different than what I expected....sweeter?

Yes, I think people have confirmed it is Jennifer Hale. No official confirmation from NRS or anything though, obviously.

Very happy to see people warming up to her new look. Sure there will always be some who have reservations but it's nice to see at least some positivity lol.

Like I said before, we haven't seen her with an update in ten years- it was bound to take some getting used to. And that earlier less polished model they showed off in the Kombat Pack trailer didn't help.

But as always, this is why patience is always needed. Cassie looked terrible with such a cartoony rubbery face when she was first revealed but now they have made her a great beauty.

Ahnka, I'm a true Tanya fan and follower! Loved her new look since the reveal! You can't rehash a look from 10 years ago. I think it's a great direction for her.

Tanya and Rain are some of my favorite characters too, btw. You must be as giddy as I am with their portrayals this time around
