I think Edenians and w/e D'Vorah's race is don't like each other. I don't remember if I just read it here or if I heard it but im pretty sure Kitana and D'Vorah had some less than friendly dialogue too, where they insulted each other based on their race/species/realm lol

I'm sure they will, this is just so modders don't get too nosy.

Skarlet in MK9 who was already on disc, just like Tanya, didn't have a moveset.
Tanya however, at least based on the video I've seen, yeah, I think she has Kitana's moveset and her own projectile. No biggie.

Yea, that would REALLY suck and be cheap if Tanya ended up just being a skin of Kitana with some changed up moves. Would flip out.

I'm just ready to see her variations, X-Ray, and fatals. IDK If I can hang any longer. So pissed she wasn't on the main roster- now I gotta fucking wait.

I remember thinking how weird it was for Kitana to call someone's race filthy so they may just not like each other.

Tanya needs her long hair, the short hair does not look good. I always thought really long hair was an Edenian thing anyway, Sindel, Kitana, Jade all have very long hair. Tanya needs her MKD hair. Her face also looks terrible, they did a fairly good job with Kitana's face this time around. I hope that's not the final build for Tanya. Her costume is good, I like her costume, but her face needs a lot of work. Also, does Tanya have Kitana's fighting stance? Anyone else notice that?

Jesus some of the comments in here. There should be a MK Fashion sub-forum for all the hair comments I'm seeing.

Tanya's model looks amazing, and surprisingly, really polished. Her costume looks nice too. It seems to have a small piece of her Deception outfit with the little skirt thing. I also noticed her color scheme appears to be black and yellow/gold in the video. Don't know why it appeared purple in the DLC trailer. As for the hair, I don't have a problem with it. It's not like her hair was ALWAYS long. Before MKD it was short. Now it's short again, big deal. I'm sure one of her variations will feature her with white eyes. They need to have some differences in her variations.

Love the "We just didn't like you" comment. Makes her look like the Regina George of MK lol. This is going to be the first time we truly see her fleshed out (assuming this isn't the only bit she has in the story).

I personally think long hair fits her character better. Talking about diversity too...she would've been the only girl in MKX with long, flowing hair. sad

Kind of agree with you on the stance thing, it does kind of suit Tanya pretty nicely... But i think the height thing Between the two has to do with Tanya being in heels. Even Mileena Appears a bit Taller than Kitana. Guess we'll find out for sure when we see Kitana's alt in game since she has heel s in that costume. Hopefully i'm right otherwise Kitana's height is gonna bug the crap out of me lol

So far, the screens show a character with the name Tanya, but is not the Tanya we knew from the past. And, why does it look like they white-washed her just like they did to Jade in MK9. Tanya's dark skin, white eyes, bright yellow outfits made her look so sexy and deadly. This Tanya looks like a runner-up @ a Whitney Houston drag queen contest.

LMAO Yes. I want to see if Kitana's heels makes a difference. Kitana's height has sorta been bugging me already, especially since she was pretty damn lengthy in MK9.
I'm glad the Yellow is more goldish and the purple is actually black. Someone said she looks like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, I can see it. She has a nice innocent sounding but bitchy voice. The half skirt is back woo. And I think she has heels (Which I think suit her).

Haha, hold on to your horses, we haven't seen anything yet. That's just only one of her specials. The purple fire could still appear in some compacity!

I really liked the purple fire, it distinguished her fireballs from that of Liu Kang and everyone else's. It was Deception that changed it to generic orange/yellow am I correct?

I think I want to see Tanya have her Zi Ran Men stance back, always liked it. As for her appearance, I really like it but I also want her to have an alternate that is similar to her classic design.

Well I do definitely see why many fans are disappointed. Completely altering a character's skin tone is irritating and pointless. That being said- I think I got all my frustration over the whole skin tone issue out of my system when it happened with Jade back in 2011- though at least with Jade it was just a case of her render being lightened and not her model.

But honestly, I'm loving Tanya's new look, her voice, and personality.

As for all the "Drag queen" comments, Tanya has been down that road since Deception. Seriously, I remember people were saying the same exact stuff as they are now back in 2004. We haven't seen Tanya with a fresh design in 9 years- it's going to take some time to get used to everything. But if you just don't like it, then hey *shrug*, that's fine too!

But yeah, people being upset about her skin tone- I can understand.

She definitely isn't finished, so don't judge her gameplay just yet. She has Kitana's stance and borrows other fighters' moves. But, like I said, she's not done.
