Looking back, it's easy to read Ed as trying to temper down expectations for MK4-D fans when he said "at least one" MK4 character, ... then a few weeks later we get Quan Chi's reveal.

I just have this sinking feeling that Quan Chi (and maybe Shinnok) is all that was initially planned from that era. I'll be pissed and minorly gutted if that's the case

That said, we've been teased with lots of DLC this time around, so there's still time for NRS to make some roster changes if that's the case. And while there's still time, I'll continue to trumpet my favourites like Tanya, Havik and Fujin!! They were the standouts of that era and have the most fan backing to deserve the full royal 2D update like the entire roster of MKT characters had in MK9.

Why is Tanya not in your icon picture or signature?

I suggest everyone edit their icons with an image of Tanya, to promote Tanya for MKX. Just an idea.

I change my sig and avatar now and then. I've had Tanya there, but right now I don't. And also because I'm not a Tanya-maniac like you. XD

I think Tanya is MKX because:

I) She is the One Being's avatar in the new timeline. She is not just poweful but mega, uber, psycho, gigantic fantastical POWER!!!!!!!!!!!11111

II) She is named after Ed Boon's sister and we all know that Ed Boon is the only person that chooses the roster because he is omniscient and as MK fans our saviour and master. We must never question Ed Boon.

III) Tanya makes other characters look like bacteria. Her importance is so grave that the series is basically 99.99% about Tanya. She is the final boss in MKX no doubt.

IV) Tanya will be revealed not at some stupid show but at an incredible party at NRS in Chicago to highlight how great she is. NRS is just making sure that everything is ready.

V) I think it is just taking a little longer for Tanya because NRS wants to take the extra time in making Tanya the best they can.

As you can see these are all logical and reasonable points. Everything points to Tanya being in the game. Anyone with an iota of intelligence knows that. I would only say that we hold our excitement until she is actually revealed and then have a big jamboree.

Speculating is one thing, but none of your reasons are good enough to convince me she'll be in. She's a likely canidate, but the story has changed, does Shinnok and Quan Chi even need her? But of course, retcon always comes into play. So who knows.

The only thing that gives her bigger chances over characters as Kai and Jarek is that Tanya is highly requested. That's my thought on it. Other than that it's all speculation, lik all of the things on the list of the OP.

While I don't believe any of your reasons are indicative of Tanya's inclusion in MKX (although, I really don't think you're being serious with this thread), I certainly admire your dedication and enthusiasm for this one character in particular.

But really, regardless of it all I already know MKX will be the best MK game to date.
