Tanya hasn't even been confirmed and I'm already bored by all this Tanya buzz.
When they released her render for MK:Deception, I was SOOOO excited. Then she turned out to be pretty boring. No personality. At ALL!
But seriously, I hope Netherrealm steps it up. Tanya needs justice. If they design her and make her gameplay the right way, she'll be amazing.

Well if you weren't saying it, I will. Tanya DID have more personality in MK4 than in Deception.

She's bland and doesn't really do anything in Deception, the game sucked all the flavor out of her and replaced it with "Jade is my enemy" without explaining WHY they hate each other beyond a generic "she catches Edenian traitors".

At least in 4 we got her origin story and weird little hints that her motive for turning traitor was some sort of jealousy towards Kitana, and her necksnap moves and attitude towards Liu suggested a "seductress" archetype before Mileena started stealing that gimmick in Deception.

The more I think about it she had zero personality in both games, Tanya is generic and boring. We don't need her in MKX. There's no need to fall back on horrible characters from MK4, NetherRealm Studios is full of amazing talented artists who can come up with even better characters.

Redesigning Tanya is a good idea.

If Tanya comes back, I hope her face looks more like it did in MK4. In MK:D they gave her glowy eyes for no apparent reason, as well as that weird raccoon-eyes makeup.

I agree with you about her having more personality in MK4 than MKD, but what i quoted is a LIE. Tanya didn't give a shit about Jade, and didn't mention her once. That was a one-sided rivalry.

She did have a personality and she isn't horrible. Good thing you're not part of the NRS staff, they know she's popular and they'll bring her back, if not in MKX, in a future title.

I never dream of games but for whatever reason I dreamt that they announced Tanya and she looked exactly like she did in MKD but she was white instead.

Ed Boon picked TANYA over both Havik and Bo Rai Cho.... which are somewhat good karakters. That goes to show you that Tanya is kool... ok? Yes.

Hector Sanchez also once tweeted an even longer time ago that TANYA was one of his favorite karakters.
