Well, it's not like it matters anyway. NT Tanya doesn't have seem to have anything to do with Quan Chi anymore, and whatever magic she's casting all seems to be Edenian in nature. I guess we'll have to see what they'll come up with for her variations.

I've been torn apart by Tanya's legions before. Tanya and I are not on the best of terms.

Making Jen Hale Tanya almost seemd like a ploy directed solely at me to like the character. It's really caused an internal struggle for me.

I'm just saying it's a design choice. They never explained Shang Tsung's white eyes -- he's a dark sorcerer. That was enough. Tanya uses black magic? That's good enough for me. I'm sure Edenia had evil sorcerers as much as any other realm.

Tanya's expertise in ancient magical texts was part of her storyline in Deception -- it's why Onaga wanted her services. Her dabbling in dark magic is also how she encountered Shinnok in the first place before MK4.

Meh, I think she looked better before. In game at least. She looked hideous in the reveal for whatever reason, but in story mode she looked great. Kinda fresh looking, a little spunky.... The new model looks somewhat generically evil, which isn't a quality this timeline's version of Tanya seems to possess. She looks good though, I just kind of liked the fresh quality of her first look. Her skin color also never bothered me. She was always darker skinned, but at no point was she ever clearly black. In MK4 her facial features and hair made her look more hispanic than anything, then in MKD she was more racially ambiguous. To me the Egyptian look was a good choice and her somewhat lighter skin (though still tan) should not have mattered; it still fit within the boundaries of her unspecified ethnicity. Point blank; she was never black. But oh well. Those that it mattered to got what they wanted, regardless of the relevance of the complaint.

She looks great now, much much better.

I hardly had any issues with her original appearance and was just glad she was gonna be playable, but it's so funny how now that they have darkened her skin and modified her hair for the people who have been whining there is even more negativity than before.

I swear almost all MK fans are such fashionista divas it's not even funny. You won't see this in the Street Fighter or Tekken communities, but you'll see it for MK....a series that used to have a trademark for violence and gore, but now it's about which character is gonna make it on the cover of Vogue. Jesus.

I liked Tanya's look before, and I like her look now....maybe even more now that she has the white eyes, but that was the ONLY thing I wanted, which wasn't much.

This. While I was cool with her first design and thought it looked great in motion for Story Mode, this update looks great, too. Cool to see the white eyes are back, makes her look more menacing and mysterious. Also, the new hair looks better than the weird bob she had before.
