Scorpion feels bad for the Shinnok thing, wants to attempt Hara-Kiri. Raiden stops him and instead sentences him to life, infusing him with some of the Jinsei so that he and the Shirai-Ryu can forever project the Jinsei.

So wait, Jade isn't playable because she's dead... but so is Kitana? This makes no sense. That's the main issue I have with the story/roster considering that I mained Jade at launch, then switched to Sektor.

I'm hoping that NRS doesn't hate all the fighters I like. The way that I see it, MK11 can go like this.

Sektor is either reactivated or he's in the Netherrealm and tries to usurp Liu Kang. Preferably both and returns to, "life" by grafting his original parts to his revenant form and then upgrading himself with further cybernetics.

Jade is simply a revenant.

The story would revolve around power struggles across the realms. Noob wants to usurp Liu Kang for control of the Neatherrealm yet Sareena betrays him and leaves Noob's side for his brother's. Mileena has freed Edenia from Kotal Kahn but proves to be a terrible ruler and thus Kitana returns to life to claim her throne. The Tekunin form to destroy both the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei alike. Fujin does not approve of Raiden's more aggressive stance and seeks to depose him. Hotaru sees these power struggles and wishes to unite the realms under his rule in the name of peace, making him the main antagonist.

Liu Kang would have some funny interactions with Shang Tsung who's now effectively Liu Kang's adviser who's kept on a very short leash.

Oh, and Ermac doesn't want Outworld to become less powerful than the Neatherrealm so he absorbs a number of souls into himself from defeated enemies which is how certain undead characters who won't be playable can be in MK12.

Nobody in Mortal Kombat stays truly dead.

Yes, I am unimpressed by MKX mostly. That still does not mean a thing in the overall sense, this IS shaping up to be the best MK so far. I personally do not like it, because I am NOT a fighter player predominantly, I played RPGs and RTSs predominantly.

Sareena, Fujin, Li Mei, Rain. Maybe swap out Rain for Bo Rai Cho.

They all have in-game models. That would cut down on the workload. They also play a role in the story. I see no reason why they wouldn't be in a second Kombat Pack.

What doesn't make sense? That the gameplay got the majority of the attention and effort or that the vast majority of people see mk as a joke in the FGC and an effort to change that is being made. They know where the respect is. The game 'looks' solid. It'll be broken and netcode may be shit but the effort to court a new fanbase is there. And good for them.

I don't even play MK seriously and i haven't posted on this site in years prior to looking a kombat cast 3 or 4 so get your head out of your ass and deal with what's coming. the MK goons have lied to the fanbase for years and people here are acting like this is some damn revelation. Mermaid's just went offline, but people in the comments are claiming it will be back? (I have no idea). I've gone back to Shin's for the moment. Someone say something if Mermaid's comes back. As she's in the middle of the story, and Shin is in chapter 1, which we've seen 100 times
