I thought Erron Black's alt looked weird. I've thought the same thing about all the stripper outfits in MK9 and Sonya's thong being visible for like six games.
Don't get mad just because someone jokes about a costume that you like. I never got mad when someone joked about Sub-Zero wearing fur on his Deception outfit.
Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Jax, and even some of Sub-Zero's MK3-esque outfits wouldn't be some of my favorite designs if it bothered me that they were shirtless. Hell, Rain's outfit in MK9 is closer to a male stripper type thing but I think it looks fine because he's from Edenia where people just dress weird. It fits his character.
I don't think Sheeva looks weird wearing almost nothing, but Kitana definitely looks weird with heels and trying to cover as little skin as possible.
And I'm not even talking about it from a "realism" (because fuck that) standpoint, just a design standpoint.
When someone tries to put words in your mouth and you clarify what you meant that's not "still bringing it up to defend your insecurities."
I've thought Erron Black looks weird in both of his outfits since I've seen them. If I feel like joking about them, and you read way too much into it, then you're a shmuck, plain and simple.

I haven't even seen Erron's alt costume, but after reading these arguments it's pretty obvious that a certain community here has a severe sense of self-entitlement. People are allowed to like and dislike things as they please, just as people are allowed to agree or disagree with the reasons why they feel a certain way about something. No one making the game has declared that there will be "equality" for the sake of it. In fact, too many of you guys on both sides of the fence are missing a crucial point about Mortal Kombat: there's always something goofy or tongue-in-cheek about the games. It's why we're getting Johnny in a mime outfit, Quitalities, and #shittycassiefatality. Nobody has to love it, but it's going to be in there regardless. A shirtless look for a mysterious gunslinging cowboy who carries stuff on his back isn't what you'd expect, nor is it practical, but that's what Boon and Co. always deliver in small doses. They like to have fun with what they create.
So again, some of you think Erron without a shirt is dumb, and some of you like it. That's all fine... but for sanity's sake, don't put words in people's mouths. That, and please keep in mind that
you are not entitled to anything simply because you think you should be.
