One reason I think Noob Saibot is because I think they could do some wicked shit with his shadows and have him be a totally different boss than Kahn. Imagine gigantic black shadow fists crushing you. How about Noobs two on one move returning?

I think Motaro would be a nice surprise. He was the only one from MK-MK3 who missed out on MK9.

But realistically I hope it's not Motaro because I just don't see myself being able to take a centaur seriously.

The typical choice would be either Raiden or Liu Kang. My wild guess is Jade or the woman who possessed her in the arcade ending.

The surprise is there is no surprise, it's Shinnok. The reason we'd never expect it is because Boon said it's new, so by the end of the anticipation, we'd be surprised that it WAS what we had expected originally. Most of the story will take place around MK4, several years after the end of MK9, and some of the new characters will have traveled back in time to that era to help against Shinnok.

Just kidding, I don't know and I don't really care. They're obviously going a completely different direction here, so I'm up for anything. I do like my idea though.

Quan Chi, dude was everywhere in MK9 and he has the amulet of an Elder God. By the end of 25 years maybe he finally knows how to unleash it's full power.

I think it would be dope to finally have a female boss. Maybe Mileena? I mean she has been plotting to get the throne since forever, and now that daddy was killed.... I mean, it wouldn't be expected AND it would fit in the story cuz she's always been an evil princess. Why not finally be the evil queen who's power has been upgraded somehow? lol

Well Boon said it's an existing character, but way out of left field. I think that rules out Shinnok or Quai Chi since everyone was expecting this game to be an MK4 reboot. It won't be Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung and I don't think it will be an already playable kombatant from previous games. That would be boring.

However, it still must be someone not so obscure that casual fans have no clue who it is. I believe that King Jerrod is the most reasonable choice as the new main boss of MK. I can see him somehow escaping Ermac's body and trying to reclaim Edenia and attempt to take over the other realms as well.

I'm going with Baraka. Now that would be a surprise.

Remember for MK9 when Boon said "you know, and someone who wasn't a cyborg will turn into a cyborg this time around", and everybody instantly thought Sub-Zero, then everyone thought that was too obvious?

It's Liu Kang. Dude didn't die, from what we know, he has a reason to be pissed. It's either him or Raiden, everyone else would just be kind of "eh".

Sindel would be awesome as a boss. She has boss-like qualities and was just a crazy, badass mofo in MK9. Plus a female boss would be a nice change.
Her or Noob Saibot or Motaro as the unplayable boss and Shinnok as a playable sub boss.
Saying that, it will probably be Raiden. I did always love Dark Raiden though so I'd be cool with that.

I'm going with Onaga. Having a character like Noob, Liu, or even Raiden (unless he was full God of Lightning mode, not a human looking guy who has lightning powers) makes no sense to me. Why would they be the boss..? How disappointing would it be to play the game to see a regular character be a boss? I'd be petty let down. On the other hand, Onaga..a giant ass dragon dude would be great. He could be a little bit too big though.
