It's going to be Liu Kang. He's the embodiment of the fans of MK and will kill Raiden for having so many heroes killed lol. On a serious note i do think it will be Liu Kang and if it isn't him he will be the sub boss.

I know it's a distant fanboy possibility, but I'd love for it to be my girl Sindel. We've never had a female boss.

Though I'm sure you're joking, this was actually my first guess.

No one would ever expect Meat to even be in a game, let alone become an undefeatable boss.

I think either Liu Kang or Dark Raiden.

Next option would be Shinnokh as expected (Boon could be misleading, so if we start thinking Shinnokh won't be because he's expected, then he becomes unexpected) and even this Kotal Kahn evolving into a reincarnation of Shao Kahn during his story or something.



Well, before realizing it was trolling, I though the "terminator" sillouette on the character selection screen could be a new version of meat (on his original appareance he was more a skeleton than proper meat so he would fit with the figure).

Without a doubt I believe it is Liu Kang...Kang was rewarded by the Elder Gods for saving Earthrealm by giving him a status as a god like Raiden. Kang uses his new powers to pursue Raiden and give him the same fate as Kang himself. Liu Kang is your new villain.

Either Liu Kang, Ermac, or Havik.

This is the same Boon who thought he was being cryptic when he said during MK9s development "There might be a character who is a cyborg this time around who wasn't last time".

Sindel is a killer queen!

Maybe Bo' Rai Cho. He's a master martial art who raised grand champions. During the 25 years, he could have received power from someone like Dark Raiden or Shinnok and become an infamous evil. Hope not lol but why not...

Considering the timeframe of this story is 25 years literally anything can happen, I'm just annoyed it's not Shinnok.

A female main boss would be the way to go!

I wanted Shinnok. I'd also settle for Havik or Liu Kang. My bet? Dark Raiden or God Kang.

Hmmm, this has me really curious. Honestly, taking a step back and looking at it Raiden and Kang are the most obvious choices. Surely he wouldn't think we would be surprised at that, would he?

That's my point. Everyone knew who he was talking about, and it was a pervasive rumor until the giant info leak confirmed it.

People are saying Liu Kang and Raiden....how would they be surprises? Ed said we'd never see it coming, so does he think we'd be stupid enough not to see that coming?

To make a wild guess, I'll say Havik. This game just seems....chaotic. I doubt it would take 25 years for Shinnok or Raiden or Kang to become a problem for everyone else. I say Havik will be working things out for 25 years to make things as chaotic as possible and everyone else will try to stop him.

Well of course us fans would find it predictable, but I'm thinking a large portion of the general audience & casual fans would find it surprising to see Raiden or Liu as bosses. That could be what he means.

No worries. Maybe--I think its more likely it'd be an original character if they decide to do such a thing. But at the same time, they seem to be wanting to take bigger risks with character design. I'm not sure if they'd devote a new character to being a cyborg, especially if they plan on having Cyrax and/or Sektor in the game.
