the only black dragon members that are worth bringing up are Kabal, Kano, and Tremor. I put Tremor before Jarek because he atleast has his own movesets and is not a kopy kat kharacter in mortal kombat (a game where c's are usually replaced with k's, such as 'koIns')

Would have to agree with the general sentiment here; only noteworthy Black Dragon members are; Kano, Kabal and . . . Tremor. Jarek was just a poor Kano Rip-off that never should have existed in the first place, in my opinion.

Tremor's moves are copied from other characters.

Aw come on guys, you would rather have Tremor (who as of right now is a pallette swap with no original moves) over Jarek, a guy who DOES have original moves?

I understand the potential that Tremor could have as a character, but I look at things like this. Every single character has room for development, character growth, and good gameplay. Jarek had some cool moves like the Tri-Blade, Lasso grab, and the Drop move he had.

Hate Jarek if you want, I'm just saying Jarek might be cool in the next game. Who knows?

true but MK:SF sucked horse ass anyway. I also like the idea that Tremor is an ex Lin Kuei member turned black dragon while jarek is just another guy in the BD klan.

Meh, I'm actually not huge on Tremor either. In fact I don't really like any of the black dragon/ red dragon stuff except I admittedly like Mavado.

That's why I say a big NO to Jarek. Hopefully the most he makes is an appearance like Motaro. There are a whole boatload of Kharacters who should "make an appearance like Motaro.lol"

Alright guys so I've updated again and this time I'm going with Kai. Kai I feel was always supposed to be a successor to Liu Kang and really he never got his chance to shine. It sucks.

With Kai's kicks he could be not only original but innovative with some handstand kicks and such. Plus He could be Fujin's version of Liu Kang thus making him important in MKX I feel so I'm giving a Yes to Kai. He deserves it and I think he will fit in perfectly if given the proper treatement.

Discuss people. There are more aspects to this thread than just the yes or no. Fatalities, Story, Moveset, Appearance. They are all facets of the character if you vote Yes to Kai give some reasons why. Let's discuss more.

i totally agree with the raiden:lui kang as to fujin:kai idea. Kai was SO rip offed as to having some importance to the MK plot. I was like wtf happened to kai post mk4. I guess other popular characters flushed him out of future casts. I can picture some insane hand stand combos for kai, something like the jamaican guy from Tekken.

As far as story goes, he should be crowned the new champion of the white-lotus society since Ass-kang & Bitchy-Lao have been killed(celebrates). Yet I don't expect him to be the one to defeat shinnock, but Kai prove me wrong please.

Thinking back to MK4. You what would have been cool? I wished Lui Kang would have just went with Kitana to Edenia as she requested and left Earthrealm up to Kai just like raiden did with fujin. I just feel like the story would have turned out better. Fujin and Kai would have inevitability returned in the next game due to their significance story-wise. Well at least kai because raiden can't make his mind up on being an elder god or protector of earth.

I like his mk4 appearence better but I can understand why he has longer hair in MK:A. Maybe he grew it or maybe that's what's NRS wanted him to look like in MK4 but the technology wasn't up to par.

All in all, I'd give a big HELL YEA for the return of another potential character that has been overshadowed by more popular characters. Welcome back Kai.

Kai, yes, White Lotus Society member, cool moves in MK4 (didn't play afterwards) Like him better as a main than say... Liu Kang.

Yes, I'd like to see Kai return. However, I don't like the idea of him having the same type of relationship with Fujin as Liu Kang had with Raiden. That's mostly because I want Fujin to be distant from the heroes and not as emotionally involved, rather be more about business only. That would help further differentiate Fujin from Raiden. I think Kai would make a good team with Nightwolf, as both seem to have an exotic touch about them. I also hope they base Kai's look on his MK4 look which was much cooler than his lame MKA appearance. I'd like for Kai to get a voice actor with deep voice too, hehe.

I'm not a fan of Kai, but I actually think he should make a comeback. I feel that he's a character that has good potential of developing into a more three-dimensional character, and it would be interesting to see a revamped fighting style for him if his handstand moves can be incorporated. A lot of people want to see a lot of Capoeira influences, but I still feel that he should have more of that Monkey Kung Fu influence to really go with his nimbleness.

Aside from that, I actually think he shouldn't use projectiles. Instead, his special moves should really just reflect his martial arts abilities, and I actually wouldn't mind seeing his two newer special moves from MK: Armageddon return. His Renegade Kick could be a special move that can be charged, much like Raiden's projectiles in MK vs. DC.

I'm liking some of the ideas for Kai. It seems that he's probably up there in popularity for one of the MK4-MKA generation. Let's hope he does make a comeback.

One question though. Why does everyone hate his Armageddon attire? I actually like the dreads, but it seems a lot of people hate them. I felt he looked off with the regular hair. I didn't really like it. It seemed too trimmed for me, and when I think of Kai's character I think of Tribal influence and the dreads kind of gave me that feel. I like his old attire better though. The attire from MK4, but I hope he keeps the dreads from MKA.

The dreads doesn't really matter to me. I just like the MK4 look better. If they make the MK4 costume with the dreads that wouldn't bother me at all.
