Couldn't you at least have made them dark green instead of just greying out it all? Now the metallic parts look bad.

I'm pretty confident Reptile will be one of the legacy characters whom gets a replacement, since it would be just so easy.

I fully expect Reptile as we know him to get killed off but before dying spits out an egg King Piccolo style to continue on.

I actually liked that MK4 Reptile as well.

Seeing him losing to Stryker or as original hidden character in the very first fight of the story has been just shit.

I think NR did a good job in storymode concerning Sektor and Ermac. They did a good job of making them feel evil.
I want something in that vein with Reptile. Storywise he has always been a weak link. Last of the species, no female to mate with yadda yadda.
I would be ok if they say he was made by sorcery, or some other kind of offspring between a human and a .... reptile.
Or maybe let him find his people in another realm or planet.

As for looks I would prefer a more ninjaesque style. He should be on par with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. But if they would go the reptilian route an alternate fully ninja outfit is a MUST! His best look for me was in his original ninja outfit. 2nd best look was in MK9. I never want to see a return of the MK4 outfit or MKA.
And no, no tail. Unless he is fully reptilian

Movewise I would agree with a previous poster than invisibility isn't really necessary, with the camera doing it's work the opponent usually know where he is anyway. And using it against the CPU is useless. + that he gets harder to control since you yourself don't fully know where he is.

Considering the acid spit, what if his superversion would be an acid puke that goes along the floor like a lowhitting projectile?
Or maybe an air-counter which looks like he gurgles up a fountain for the opponent to land in? ;)

Other than that, his energy balls were perfect in MK9, as was his slide and elbow dash!

It will never happen, but I always wanted Reptile to go good. How in MK 2011 Raiden approached Scorpion and talked about speaking to the Elder Gods on behalf of his clan. It would have been awesome to see Raiden convince him to fight for the good side and try to help him resurrect his species. Since this will never happen I would prefer if, like everyone else is saying, they make him a dang threat again. If he gets beat then so be it, but don't make it seem like an easy fight. Reptile has been my favorite character since I first played MK and it's upsetting to see him treated like such a weakling story-wise.

As for outfits my favorites are actually the Shaolin Monks costume and his MK 2011 Alt. I hope he still keeps a good balance of reptilian and human characteristics

Reptile is very iconic.

He has hardly developed as a character, but his gameplay in MK2, MK3 and MK9 was excellent. I hope he returns, i think in a fighting game, the gameplay comes first, and he has always been cool and very deadly in combat.

I don't want Reptile to go good but I hope this time around the writers can make him at least equal to scorpion. He's evil but he has one hell of a good reason to be evil, more so than scorpion IMO. He's a being of circumstance, without the genocide who knows what kind of well adjusted person Reptile could have been. They are both tragic villains but Scorpion gets more spotlight and sometimes falls into the anti-hero role. I want to see him loose it, there are very few unstable/ unpredictable characters in MK. I think he has sooooo much potential in terms of story... nobody ever wants to do him justice though.

I really think they wrote themselves into a corner with the genocide of half the MK species (before the series even begins). I would like some more raptors/saurians spread through out earth realm and hiding. Blending in, some of them actually have influence in the world. Some goofy meta "reptilian aliens" stuff.

I'll be seriously surprised if we don't see Reptile, too.

Her existing gives Reptile that slight edge over other grunt characters and the possibility for some manner of ongoing plot that isn't him getting his ass kicked over and over again.

And honestly, the guy needs to get laid. Really, really badly.

I like Reptile because he's not the all-powerful bad-guy but a spy, assassin, guard and stalker of Shang Tsung, he works for everyone who is powerful, but he is more than just a guard, he's the last of his kind.


I hope reptile becomes even more interesting by giving him a good complot with another character that is willing to increase Reptiles powers and appearance during the storyline. I don't want reptile: - To be good NEVER. - In love with Chameleon/Khameleon, he must be the last of his kind. - To be this horrible Green ninja clone, cut the entire green ninja part in his main outfit, make the ninja outfit an alternative. I don't want him to be more human, make him more reptilian, we have enough humans, if you want reptile to be more human just pick Johnny cage as your favorite please.

Look, again, I'm not looking for Reptile to return to his MK 1-2-3 look, but somethink like MK 4 or even a little toned down MK9 would be acceptable. I mean, it's kind of hard to be an assassin/spy when you're basically an animatronic dinosaur from a Steven Spielberg film.

Mk4 reptile isn't HUMAN at all, he looks reptilian. The reptile from MK2 was human-like and only showed his reptilian parts in fatalities and moves.

You should be teached what a human is. Reptile is NO human.

Bottom line, the coolest thing to me about Reptile is that he is a reptile. Making him more human just waters that down.

I only agree with you on the tail-dinosaur Reptile. I don't like that version as well, I hope the tail isn't there anymore. But he must show some Raptor flesh in the model, not a green boring ninja clone.
