I'd like to think Shao Kahn is sterile. He's had so many chances on having children, but there's not one single official confirmation of one. Instead he kidnaps, adopts and creates children out of sorcery.

Reiko being Shao Kahn's son is an interesting scenario, but it is also a cheap way to give Reiko a background for his actions. I would prefer something else, something unexpected.

With ties to The Brotherhood of Shadow and being a general for both Shinnok and Shao Khan (and known for being ruthless), Reiko obviously has a big reputation with some major villains in the series. With his high rank and desire to take the thrown of Outworld eventually, could he be the major villain in MKX that Ed Boon says nobody will see coming? Anything is possible at this point, but I wouldn't consider that outside the realm of possibility.

Ed Boon said the new boss would be a fun returning character though.

Loved his MKA updated looks and he was super fun to play as in both, MK4 and MKA. I like the mysterious vibe surrounding the character.

man this guy never got enough love. If he comes back I'm sure I'll play him, seeing as he's the closest we'll ever get to play as Shao Kahnz :oz:

Reiko is sickeningly underrated. He was my favorite MK4 character. Too bad NRS has done jackdiddly with him since.

Funnily enough, he was the only memorable character for me in MK Conquest though he appeared in one measly episode.

I am not that huge of a fan of Reiko, I hardly played as him at all in the fourth game and was basically ignored in Armageddon. But I would like to see what I wrote or something similar come into play with this character. None of this random fan fiction story (which by the way, why when it comes to women being the author, there HAS to be rape involved?) or has him actually TRYING to resurrect Kahn when he can easily try to take his place? Well, that is if the story allows it since we have no idea what's going on right now... For all we know, Kotal Kahn could be the Emperor of Outworld.

Then you could have either Reiko feud with him to challenge that title, or you have him work for him, under the orders of Shinnok, while still being a member of the Brotherhood of the Shadow.

As mentioned earlier, it is most likely just a hint of him wanting the throne rather than a fetish for Kahn's helmet.

One of the reasons he is my main favourite male character in MK. Not just because of that, but it is one of the reasons. ^^
