MINION, what race is Shinnok? I mean...he's a god man. That's all there is to it. He's just a god. I don't think they ever had more of a reason behind his pale complexion other than he's evil and king of hell therefor he must have the skin of a corpse.

And as for that hat. Again man, he's a god. Gods are eccentric.

I thought his costume that he had on in the story mode trailer was his main costume. But oh well I will get used to the one he is wearing now. Overall, I loved his gameplay. And I'm glad he was able to be playable

I hope the version you have of Tanya in your sig is closer to what her final iteration will be when she is ready for dlc. Part of me is excited she is in, but another part of me is being calm hoping that was an unfinished sneak peek version in the trailer, akin to early Cassie giraffe issues.

He looks terrific.

The bone weapons looks really fun. And his ominous presence alone serves to balance things out with so many lame humans in the roster.

Really happy about his inclusion.

Male-eficent

Shinnok has arrived. I'm happy for the character because it was one of those few that was never fully realized or fleshed out.

I think this game does him justice and is the way I would picture Shinnok to look in MKX.

He looks very intimidating and methodical in the way he fights. Love the gameplay he has. He probably has the best X-Ray in the game too.

I found that his necromancer look is actually pretty unique. It also represents his true demonic form. Also, just as an opponent picturing this guy across from you, with bone arms and the rest of his body perfectly poised. Creeps you out.

I would have wanted to see his intro and some dialogue between characters.

Can I just say that his "flick" move is probably my new favorite special move, like ever?! So demeaning! It's perfect for shinnok!


Shinnok looked great! Though i was expecting the "red electricity" thing from him, I loved his variations.

You can tell he was influenced by Shang Tsung, but they put enough of a twist on him that he feels unique. Loved "imposter" and his bone variations, his bone weapon scythe, and his costume!

This is why I actually like the way this variation looks. Creepy, off-putting, funny, and I find it just a little bit cheesey. Definitely fits Shinnok and MK.

Shinnok has a teleport in his Imposter Variation. They forgot to show it. I paused the video when they showed his MoveList. The move is called "Tricky Portal" so I assume its a teleport. I think thats what it was called in MKA as well.

I Liked Shinnok overall, but I just feel like he wasnt "Flashy" enough. His shoulder charge looked too generic. He should be glowing with energy when he performs it, like everybody else who ever had a shoulder charge (NightWolf, Reiko, ShaoKahn, etc). I think the blade on his Bone-Scepter should be glowing as well.

Im not a fan of this outfit either. Good thing his story outfit looks incredible and his samurai skin is epic! This outfit has the 2 things that have already worn out its welcome in MK- Giant shoulderpads, and a V-vest! I feel like the artist designed an awesome look for Shinnok, then Ed Boon walked over and was like "nah, give him a V-vest and gaudy shoulderpads, thats what everybody likes" LoL

This has gotta be the BEST X-ray yet right? That's including MK9 as well.

As much as I really like Shinnok, I was underwhelmed by him, starting with that headpeice that looks like afro puffs from the front. Although I feel like my dissapointment came from mainly how he was presented. I dunno, too much talking and not enough agressive playing with Shinnok. Constantly jumping back and forth from Shinnok to practice mode features they seemed more interested in showing. Seriously, was anyone hype for practice mode? Anyone? Why don't they show us the option menu next. >_>

I dont mean to sound so negative and ungrateful, I think my patients for the wait is just depleting day by day and it's making me irritable.

Yeah I feel like they kind did Shinnok dirty with that whole practice mode thing, but I guess showing it off while playing a character we have yet to see play before was the best way to get people to actually watch it lol

True, but is practice mode usually a thing that's asked about or advertised? I'm not sure, cuz I'm usually not this obsessive about pre release stuff.

I thought the same thing. This costume is cool, but I'm hoping it's his alternate. They could go the Shang Tsung MK9 route, where you fought him as an old man in Story Mode and that ends up being his alternate; then the young Shang Tsung emerges shortly afterwards and that skin is his primary. Perhaps if Shinnok shows up later in Story Mode (or is the final boss) he'll be wearing the costume from the stream.

Overall Shinnok is very impressive. I think his impostor variation adds so much tactical depth as it changes your gameplay depending on your opponent. I wonder if they concentrate on stuns with the stealable abilities or how they decide what they do. His bone weapons are also extremely neat. I think he has the most varied variations so far.

I don't like his Shang balls tho i think they could have come op with a better projectile for him. His necromancer t-rex hands look a bit retarded to me though. It is comical instead of menacing but it might only be me.

Also at first i hated but now actually i love the fact that they didnt spoil his fatalities. They leave some for the game at least.

Where is his red electricity move some early previews mentioned before.

Oh I thought I was the only one who got Maleficent by his new look! Honestly I don't mind it. Maleficent was always my favorite villain and she scared the fuck out of me so I am digging it!

I don't know... as a super villain I expected much more from him.
His face doesn't look evil, I'd have added dark circles under and around his eyes and a more frowning and malevolent stare. Quan Chi has a lot more charisma compared to him.

Also his specials aren't that spectacular, the FX of his magic is just lame.
Shan Tsung magic was just fireworks compared to the one used by Shinnok, who copies part of his repertoire.

His Xray is one of the less entertaining up until now.

My least favorite characters until now are Jacqueline Briggs and Shinnok.
I don't want to spread hate, as I was looking forward to the sorcerer's announcement, but I would lie if I told you I am not disappointed.
They could do so much more...
