I just worry he'd be a palette swap version of Green Arrow.. At the end of the day, I'd rather see less emphasis on weapons and more on cool fighting styles. It is Mortal Kombat after all and I think there should be more of a focus on hand-to-hand fighting with added supernatural abilities.

I was thinking a female, like an elf. Or just someone who is gracefully smooth on the field and be quick and quiet.

From everything I read on this thread, the only thing that cought my attention and would be lovely in the game, is a female from Chaosrealm. Like imagine a girl controrting her body into crazy moves like Voldo...that would be sick!
Other ideas like characters that would turn MK into Soul Calibur, are just a big fat no. Angel warriors? Atheist knights?? Greek gladiators??? You know that MK is not taking place in 700 BC right? And there are no gladiators in Greece at the moment..

I never said Atheist Knights. I suggested a keyboard-wielding atheist professor or a scientist, someone to rationalize the supernatural aspects to his fellow Earthrealm warriors.

However, an atheist deity would be interesting...

A keyboard-wielding professor...really? This might work in Tekken with Bosconovitch but this is MK. Plus, atheist deities in a world full of Gods wouldn't make much sense. Just my opinion.

MK needs 1) More characters from the Netherealm, 2) Could stand one or two more Edenian characters that are NOT royalty) and 3) More God-like/demon-like characters such as Raiden, Fujin, Drahmin, ect.

Hey now, you don't want to turn this into a religious debate. Let's keep this about MK shall we?

1) We already got a few. Drahmin, Ashrah, Moloch, Sareena, Kia & Jataaka. It's just that their stories haven't been explored much. I'd say develop the ones we already got first and then make more.
2)Again we got Rain, Tanya who are amazing imo so we should deff get to know more about them. I'd love a few more Edenians too though. A few from Seido, Chaosrealm or Vaeternus as well, why not!
3)Shinnok was also an Elder God before he descended into Netherrealm. I think throwing in a bunch of Gods into the game would make it a lot more unrealistic. It doesn't make much sense for a cop to be fighting against a Thunder/Wind/Fire/Earth God, as it is. I agree with you on the demon-like characters though. I only wish we could first see the demonic forms of characters like Ashrah and Sareena though.

I would rather see the MKDA/D fleshed out correctly. MK4 i find to be uninspired. Really, Tanya (Kitana), Reiko (Noob Saibot), Jarek (Kano) were only brought to existence because they needed new characters. And they did not think them through. The only character that had some semblance of originality was Tanya, since they bothered to distinguish her with moves.

The rest? Re-skins.

The escaped convict part made me think of Cody.

Nitara's male counterpart. A male vampire, without wings though. I think that would be cool.

When I picture this character, he's broad-shouldered, about 6' tall and dressed in a prison jumpsuit. Not like Kano or Kobra or any of the other combatants. He's a spree killer, not a mercenary. He doesn't do it for money or glory, he kills for fun.

I'm glad you like the female Voldo idea.

We need new earth elemental type warriors.

One who does the earth, sand, mud & clay.

And one who does plants, the floral and the fauna

Some character ideas I'd like to see:

- a male vampire character, someone from Vaeternus who is related to Nitara somehow.

- a werewolf character, a Native American from Nightwolf's tribe who is searching for him, and who is alot more in touch with his "Animality", meaning he starts the fight by transforming into a werewolf and fights in that form.

- a female Chaosrealmer, maybe a rival to Havik.

- a female Tarkatan, like, a REAL female Tarkatan, and not a half-breed like Mileena.

- more Edenians. Just... Edenians. I like Edenians, so more of them!!! Preferably male Edenians, as Rain is the only playable one so far (not counting Taven and Daegon).

- Develop characters that already exist as a Shadow Priest (the ability to teleport portals with the Adversary would be interesting). Kia, Jataata and Undead General Onaga (Mummy Terracotta). Khameleon could be character with Poison.

- The Women of Volvo Caosrealm (though he never quite accepted the idea Caosrealm be a kingdom and not a part of Outworld) is a good idea. A Succubu Netherrealm is also (a character in the type of Vorpax) but a slave of Quan Chi could take this role.

- Some abandoned concepts such as character with Taoist Magic using stretched fabric and papers that was pensanda for MKDA but gave up.

Fujin should really be the shining star of this game. I've been waiting for them to permanently retire Raiden and have Fujin take his place as Defender of Earthrealm since fucking MKDA. Here's to hoping.

Kai might have some potential. Especially if they go full Eddy Gordo with him.

Reiko is... I dunno. On one hand, he's such a nothing character, but if they're actually going to stop joking around and take his creepy obsession with Kahn a step further, it could be interesting. And you can't help but love his Shuriken Swarm.



I liked Nitara, but I'm really not sure if they'll ever bring Vaeternus back. If they're really trying to pull a Crisis on Infinite Earths and consolidate their continuity into something more manageable, I get the feeling they'll probably try to stick to the six "main" realms established in MKD.

As I said before about the Red Dragon getting new members,

I'd say an expert on chemicals & poisons. He can also be a scientist and possesses all kinds of poisonous weaponry like Toxzon from Max Steel and Dr. Gangreen from Action Man.

And is there any warrior you can think of that can use metal & magnetism?

And another who can use gravity from the moon?

And an angel-type warrior who is associated with the Elder gods, can use light, solar & cosmic star powers?

Flora and Fauna? We should just have Swamp Thing be the DC guest character then!

Someone mentioned angels. I really like the idea of sort of an extreme lawful good character--a character who's so committed to a narrow idea of righteousness and justice that he or she totally fails to notice that they've gone totally batshit crazy.

A character who has lots of white/gold/glowing imagery but doesn't notice the irony when they violently murder someone in the name of justice.
