Right...it'd be nice if it wasn't such a clusterfuck. lol
- This Sub-Zero sounds like Bi Han.
- It really should be Kuai Liang.
- All the other stuff doesn't even make sense.
smh

Ok now this wasn't expected, Sub-Zero and Scorpion already have 3 opening dialogues O.o
The murderer one, the "for the lin kuei" one and now this.
I wonder if one of them is for story mode only?
It could be that during a portion of the story we either are shown the original battle where Scorpion died and we control Bi-Han with Kaui Liang model during that part, or maybe Quan Chi temporaly succeeds at sending the deceased heroes still controlled by him as this dialogue doesn't match personallity with the first one we got.

Because they don't exist? Scorpion is the only one. The Shirai Ryu as an organization don't exist anymore. Why would a Lin Kuei recognize a member of their mortal enemies? Gee, got me.
Obviously we do not know anything about the Roman Legions as thez long since have gone extinct. the Lin kuei is intact, if this SZ is a member of the clan, he could, he SHOULD be able to identify one of their targets.
We will see eventually.
Interesting note: the Germans were not so much disappointed, but disgusted by the gore levels. He particularly stated that this is an American thing and we Europeans find this in bad taste.
This European has no problem with gore, only with purposeless and unfunny gore. And MK does not and should not ever take itself seriously.

Germany generally is a bit squeamish when it comes to gore. Pretty sure they banned Cannibal Corpse and Deicide for a while

I find it truly confusing how most people seem to ignore and/or hate the notion of having a NEW Sub-Zero. Especially when Ed has practically said as much.
Yes, it is extremely possible that Bi-Han and/or Kuai Liang could return as Sub. But it is no less possible (more so, given the circumstances) that there is someone new under the mask. It's also possible that all three could be included under the Sub-Zero character, portraying different characters at different time periods, perhaps with different skins as in MK9.
But I truly think that people should get comfortable with the notion of a new Sub. Who knows? He could be just as interesting, or more so, than either of the previous Subs. I love Bi and Kuai as much as anyone, but I mained Sub way before I knew any lore.

Interesting find! Sub-Zero and Scorpion sure have a lot intro dialogue lines. With that said, I still think it's quite hard to tell which Sub-Zero this is even with what he said to Scorpion. I mean he could be Bi Han resurrected, a bitter Kuai Liang resurrected, a new Sub-Zero, or they're just trying to play up the Sub-Zero/Scorpion rivalry by having them insult each other so it can be any one of them. So it's still a mystery at this point I think.
It's pretty cool to hear that Steven Blum is voicing Sub-Zero this time around!

Damn! This game looks fast as hell! This is probably the fastest MK to date going by that gameplay. Wow.
Now to put more logs into the fire, so to speak. In this video it can be heard, that Sub-Zero says: "I tired of mainatining YOUR innocence."

Deductions?

I think he's saying "I tire of maintaining OUR innocence". He's probably talking about himself as well as the other Sub-Zero(s).

Translation...get ready to chuckle...
Speaker 1: friendly guys beating up each other... the new mkx was shown at e3
Speaker 2: i was able to see some gameplay and sadly gotta say im a bit disappointed. i hoped for a bit more but this seems like a mix between the predecessor and injustice.
Speaker 1: so game mechanics are more old-school, kinda fast but not as tactical
Speaker 2: exactly. i couldnt play but all the stiff Combos as seen, background elements you can use as weapon or swing from branch to branch, thats all stuff thats in injustice and pro players wont like it
Speaker 1: are there relevant new gameplay elements?
Speaker 2: not really. you can pick from three fighting styles before a fight now. so you can use one move against a certain opponent while against another a differnet style is better. but its sad you cant change it during the fight but only before
Speaker 1: so you cant change it on the fly?
Speaker 2: exactly. that wouldve had more style but probably NRS thinks thats too much work again
Speaker 1: graphics wise its ok but not stunning, judging by the fact its supposed to be next gen. Backgrounds are quite nice but of course kinda artificial again. and of course, as usual in mk...
Speaker 2: sigh...
Speaker 1: ...disgusting stuff. the americans of course are happy about it, it belongs there, the finishing moves. whoever needs it, i think its unnecessary, and pretty disgunsting most of the time
Speaker 2: you look at it 2 times, like it and thats it. the americans went pretty crazy during the presentation... but no.
Speaker 1: we europeans dont think thats ok (speaker2: exactly. lets see.

Those Germans don't know what the fuck they're talking about. The Interactables are not even Injustice level ridiculous. They are mostly for positioning and projectiles can be blocked. So they're not outrageous or anything.
Apparently it's too much work to switch styles on the fly? No dumbshit, they are making it a counterpick system. Being able to switch styles on the fly would completely defeat the purpose of that. Are these guys stupid or something?
Graphically it's not mind blowing but better than "meh they're okay". The Cove and Outworld Marketplace are busy stages with a lot of shit going on. And the frame rate sustains quite well. So the graphics are definitely good.
I love that they didn't even mention how much smoother the animations were in comparison to previous NRS games. Shows what they know.
