Exactly why I'm so pissed. I love Jason, but I'm not an MK fan nor do I buy MK games to play as anyone other than Mortal Kombat characters and stories. All this shows is the MK team has a complete lack of interest, faith and loyalty in respect to their own characters.

It's like releasing a DC game but pushing Marvel characters down our throats.

Netherrealm has made shit that I didn't care for before, and I didn't act like a greedy pig because they didn't cave into my needs. I just sucked it up and dealt with it. All I've been reading since KP1 is no more guests. What exactly do we get? Thus my point. I'm all for NRS stretching their legs, making the game they want to make and being creative. That's great. That shit belongs in the base game. The DLC is about bringing the fans back for more. That means giving them what they want so they'll pay the extra fee. Not shoveling out whatever the fuck they feel like.

What's worse is that this pack doesn't fool me. They are too scared to release a pack solely consisting of Mortal Kombat characters because they don't have enough faith in their franchise to go up against the likes of Street Fighter V which will be releasing probably in the middle of when these characters are getting shoved out. So they lean on guests like a crutch despite this game being one of the biggest selling games of the year. The lack of faith and stupidity is astounding. Thus why I'm glad I'm not alone in calling bullshit on this.

So basically what you're saying is that it should start being normal for an entire fan base to start acting like children because Netherrealm, once again, didn't cater to their needs. Because they felt to add two guests, one in which was predictable to see even during the whole no news thing, it's the end of the world? Because they decided to add a semi-new character, in a game that had a bunch of new characters released from the start, it's a bad thing?

This fanbase is priceless at times.

I really doubt a successful company that sold well over millions of copies within days, who released a guest character once for DLC and was the most bought DLC is scared that their own franchise can't sell well.

If they were too scared of their own product, we would have seen a shit ton of more DLC. But we didn't, because what they had before this pack was successful enough to keep people going, even with their shitty ass netcode.

Am I calling for people to call them out on their bullshit when I think they've crossed a line? Yes. How they go about that is their own business. I understand the concept of guest characters and I could live with two. We've had two before with MK9. Four however is not necessary and I feel it crossed a line when there are other characters, in their own franchise, more deserving of a spot due to years and years of fan demand.

That's why the game is pretty dead, right? That's why they added more guests to try and lure them back before they're gone for good to SFV which, conveniently, is coming out around the same time of this DLC line-up......yeah, total coincidence.

Oh this game is dead after KP2's last character. And if it wasn't for NRS' schedule, it's for the sheer fact that this pack won't see numbers like KP1. Here's why:

- The casual players this pack is catering to have checked out months ago. They're gone and they are not buying the game back to just buy more DLC. They traded that shit in and didn't look back.

- The core fans are pretty displeased with this pack, and most of them will not buy the pack as a whole. They might buy a character or 2, but not the whole thing.

I'd honestly be surprised if KP2's sales came close to half of what KP1 had.

As for the smartass attitude, I was just stating the obvious. There is no more DLC after KP2. I feel incredibly confident saying that as truth. Absolutely you can voice your opinions. Granted, text isn't the best way to figure out someone's intentions or emotions half the time so it's a pure guessing game, especially when it comes to sarcasm and challenging someones point of view. I honestly get where you're coming from. Guests are fun to certain people, I get it. And for the record, I bought KP1 (all of it including Jason and Predator). I just cannot support more than two guests per game. That's my personal limit. Especially in a franchise that has so many often ignored or underutilized characters that could benefit from a new engine and a partially new development team. For all those fans screaming for years for their inclusion, for all those fans who scream about a better netcode, these things are just necessity at this point. They honestly need a better way of communicating with their fanbase at this point.

I think the way they rolled out their DLC line-up for MK9 is their best attempt; 1 surprise (old or new), 1 3D era, 1 Trilogy era, 1 guest.

people made a big deal with the roster when it was revealed who was in and the forums were the same thing people were not happy, other people telling those people like 'OK DON'T BUY THE GAME'

then KP1 was revealed and it was the same thing, rinse and repeat

KP2 was extra for us even if they knew they were going to add them or not.

i don't get why people can not be pissed or voice their opinion. its like if you like it you get attacked, and if you don't you get attacked so why are people getting so offended when other people tel them to shut the hell up?

and let's be honest people's wish list aot of them were similar that would please a lot of people
but even if those characters were in KP2 others would still be pissed so bottom line there will always be those who are happy or not

this is a forum/thread not everyone knows each other so why can't we voice what we want to voice since the reveals of the characters in MKX people have had something to say but that did not stop the game from selling so well.
