According to Brian Chard, Triborg does speak and has some interesting interactions with Sub-Zero depending on which variation you pick (i.e. which personality) between Sektor, Cyrax or Smoke.

I finally came to a conclusion on how I feel about the pack. I'm excited for Alien, Triborg, and Bo. They aren't what I expected but I think they'll have really fun and diverse gameplay. I think the fusion of an existing character and a guest character is actually a very interesting concept. The only one I still hate is Leatherface. Complete waste of a spot I'm because there's already a silent psychopath serial killer. And honestly Leatherface is less interesting than Jason because Jason is way more recognizable and iconic. I wish there was a female character in his spot to diversify it, or even a character like Noob or Fujin

Whilst I'm pleased to see Bo returning, two more guests is a joke when they've had so many requests for Fujin for TWO games now, as well as lots of requests for the likes of Rain, Baraka, Li Mei, Sareena etc.

With 8 characters as DLC how is it only 2 of them are returning MK characters!? Then there are 2 semi-newbies and 4 guests... When the guest characters outnumber the characters from your actual franchise it doesn't suggest they have much faith in their fans who have supported them for years.

Uninspired character designs, unremarkable soundtrack. bleak color pallet. A terrible story for an MK game that is a giant middle finger to any long time fan. And of course the most unforgivable crime of all terrible netcode for a game that depends on surviving off its mulitplayer.
