Like I said, fuck what kind of fan you are. A fan is a fan. Does it really make a goddamn different how long you've been in a series for? To you guys, it seems like you either had to be playing in the 90s, or else you're a mediocre fan who's ruining everything for those who's been here since the beginning.

The reason why I'm acting like everyone should be at least happy that Netherrealm gave us something is because that's the point. They didn't have to give us anything. They could have easily flipped us fans off after them receiving death threats and harassment demanding so-and-so be in it. But they gave us stuff, whether it is what people wanted or not still. They gave all of us something. You can either be stubborn and still continue to hate it even after they show us gameplay of these four, or you could at least have an open mind and wait to see what they're like.

I'm fucking placing bets that at least a quarter of you will tune into watching Tyler and Derek showcase them and have some sort of interest. I guarantee that at least a quarter of you will turn.

Yeah but Johnny, Sonya and Cassie don't really play alike. Not really. Like they literally gave the Alien who already has acid blood, big ass spiky tail, little mini toothy tongue thing, facehuggers and chestburster and is all teeth and claws anyway the one defining feature Baraka has. It just seems so extra. It reads more like they're saying 'Baraka's never coming, so we stuffed some Baraka into Alien.' I dunno. I'm definitely way more in to Alien than Leatherface.

You not giving them money can start showing Netherrealm that people are unhappy over those who are endlessly attacking all of the developers' Twitter accounts.

I mean, if you are 100% unsatisfied and will continue refusing to buy their products, then do what you say and don't give them money. Them not getting the sales will show that they were in the wrong. I'm sure a few of the complaints made to them got to them and made them realize that this move was a risk that wasn't well-liked. But when you actually do take action and refuse to give them money is when they start getting the fucking answer.

So like I said, if you're that unhappy with their move, then don't bother getting their products anymore. Let them know you're pissed. And I am not being sarcastic with this if you think I am.

when i play the game i play other people i don't mind them, but Kitana is what got me to buy the game at launch

we are fans if we weren't fans of these games/movies/comics they would not continue making them. we give them the money that makes them rich, movies wouldn't be number 1 at the box office if people did not go see them.

Here's why I'm unhappy. I'll give you the root of my problem with this.

The core fans are being completely tossed aside in favor of pleasing the casual audience by bringing in more guest characters.

You can say a fan is a fan but let me say there is most definitely a distinction. He people who wanted more guests are people who probably haven't the game in months. The people who wanted MK characters are probably people who continued to play for a lot longer. It's like we don't matter because we're in the minority despite staying with these guys and their awful netcode for a lot longer than the guys who played for a month and quit.

I'm the type of MK fan that will buy literally whatever NRS throws at us and that's the messed up part. They probably know that fans like me exist and so they take advantage. Or maybe they ginuinely thought that their choices were kick ass but WHY????

A lot of of fans from the Midway days are stuck in the "I need to support MK because there may not be another if I don't" mode. We are not a fan base used to financial stability, haha.

Unfortunately you're talking to a crowd of people that don't get it and that's a problem. Some people don't get that Netherealm doesn't need to cater 100% of their moves to their audience no matter how loud they speak. It's their game. Just like with every other video game company out there. In the end, it's their product. They're in control of what they do with it. They can cater to the fans as much as they want and hear what they have to say. But in the end, it's their stuff, not ours. We only give them money to keep shelving out their products. We're the ones responsible in telling them what we liked and didn't like and it's then their turn to produce from our comments. The moment they see a down in sales is the moment the fans take action and show them they're unsatisfied. But if the sales keeps going into the millions, then obviously they're doing something right. With all this talk about "hardcore fans" I'm sure if every single goddamn hardcore fan were to not buy the next Mortal Kombat game, you'd have an unsuccessful seller.

Netherrealm doesn't have to do squiddly squat to their fans. They took a risk, something most companies do. Sometimes risks go well, other times not so much. You can't say they're not allowed to do their own moves. That, we the fans are the only ones allowed to make their decisions. Because if so, that's horrible. Oh-so fucking horrible.



Okay? I bought Mortal Kombat because it's Mortal Kombat. I really don't have a favorite character in the series. I like playing as all of them. Some people don't really care who's in it. Others, like yourself, do. I don't have a problem with that. I know there are people out there who refuses to buy something if their favorite isn't in. I don't have a problem with that. If you don't like something and you are completely unsatisfied, then don't get it. Unlike a lot of people, I don't give a damn what you do in the end.

But it's DLC though. It's not like it's on the main roster. I can see people having an issue if it was on the roster. I'll be the first to admit, I hated that Kratos was in the main roster for Playstation's version. Mostly because I couldn't care less about that overused character. But still, it's DLC. You have a choice to opt out in buying those guests. They gave us two with this latest pack, so just spend the fifteen on Tri-Borg (He really needs to be named that?) and Bo Rai' Cho. That is if that's how it works.



You're saying that there's people that want more guests but I'm also reading from other users here that no one said they wanted Leatherface. So I don't think there's been a lot of people saying they want more guest characters. I'm sure Alien was what many were trying to refer because that was just one big rumor from the beginning. But they included a character that not a single person uttered so how did that come into play if people were begging for guests? That's the part that doesn't make sense.

I'm the same guys i bought an xbox one just for this game and i have jason and predator and literally never use them. But i cant support this pack theres literally nothing i want. Maybe Bo Rai Cho, i never really liked him but hes the most appealing thing to me here

I wanted the DLC though. I wanted to give them my money so I could continue supporting them. I wanted to be excited for MK again. But then they release 3 characters I just have no interest in. Even if their gameplay is stellar, I can't see myself spending money on something I just don't want.

You wanna know why we got Leatherface? Because of those people on twitter saying "More horror characters pls" and NRS knowing that guest characters sell better than MK characters. People just love the idea of non MK characters doing a Fatality. Cool for them, bad for anyone who wanted more MK characters.
