Great chapter. Poor K'etz lol I bet Kotal feels terrible that his father was killed on a mission he sent him on. Anyway Reiko is looking good, finally making him seem relevant and an actual threat. Love the scene wear Kotal summoned the ray of light and destroyed that creature too, that was awesome.

Kotal is probably going to get a ridiculous amp from the Kamidogu and im willing to bet he is going to kick Goro's ass, badly.

I wonder just how Earthrealm is going to get involved. Sonya and possibly Raiden if he's taking a darker turn are certainly not trustful of Team Mileena or Team Kotal. Perhaps if this is just one of three arcs like the chance of the Netherrealm War or the final arc likely based on Cassie Cage and possibly Takeda or maybe Kung Jin, I can see why they're even in the game.

I've just realised something. In the last issue, Kotal kind of became a Sun God (as shown when his body glows yellow). In this issue he asks the 'Gods of Gods' (who I gather are the Elder Gods) to make him a Blood God. Both Sun God and Blood God are variations of Kotal in MKX. Does this mean that Kotal is bit by bit becoming each of his variations? The only one left is War God. Not that big of an observation but an observation nonetheless.

Loved the chapter, way too short though. It almost felt rushed.

Yeah, probably variations are the fighting style used by characters during different points in the story (probably the most obvious one being Sub-Zero's Grandmaster variation), I think Torr's "solo" variation will come during the storyline at a moment where he and Terra are temporarily separated (or they didn't meet each other yet), Kitana probably will have some "this is for my friend" moment in the comic or the game, getting nasty with Jade's staff against someone's skull at some point of the story too.

Now that you say this... I hope "War God" doesn't comes from eating Reiko's heart to get his tactician mind :S (though war god variation is more about smashing Ares style rather than using tactics like Reiko in athenea's style).

Wow this was the best issue yet! I can't believe Rain got a shout out, that was so cool! Reiko is an absolute badass, I love that they're showing him as a master strategist. Such a much needed awesome take on the character. Mileena fans shouldn't get butthurt tho, Reiko is obviously not in MKX while Mileena most likely is so my guess is something is going to happen between them in her favor. I could see her being like the Joker while Reiko is the mob boss who unleashes her but can't control her. Goro looked great as always, I'm more hyped than ever to see his gameplay now. I loved his dialog before killing Kotal's dad. I was surprised to learn that Goro was serving Kotal before Mileena, maybe I missed that before. Can't wait till next sunday.

I'm really digging all this newfound Reiko Love by most of the fandom. Mad props to Shawn Kittlesen for seeing and exploring his potential. I've been a Reiko Die-Hard since 1997. LoL.

I don't think a New outfit means anything. His outfit from MKA is completely badass anyway. Maybe NRS thinks it doesn't need a change. Ermac's outfit is just his alt form mk9, but showing his mouth.

About KotaL Kahn's variations. I'm pretty sure it was implied last issue that he was a "War God" when he helped the Mayans defeat the conquistadors. So no need to eat Reikos heart. LoL

I want to see Rain explored. He is my 2nd fav behind Reiko. Maybe he is helping Reiko/Mileena secure OutWorld, and in return, they will help him seize the throne of Edenia? It's a win-win. Mileena would get to kill kitana, Rain claims his birthright.

I'm a Mileena fan that's been reading the comics since the first issue and my butt isn't hurting...

They're mad because Reiko honeydicking Mileena makes her look like a dumb bimbo. But Mileena could very well get the scoop on his intentions and eat his face.

Mileena's character doesn't have to diminish just becuz Reiko's character shines. All Shawn has to do is have 1 chapter told from Mileena's perspective, where she will explain that hooking up with Reiko was a strategic move of her own.

Mileena fan here and loving all the comic.

Yeah, I want more Mileena. But I really want an excelent and deep story, with relevant characters and intricate situations. In this ways, all this Reiko-stuff are brilliant. Anyway, I don't want to get hype with this character justo for a few pages; the story progression could deliver us a lot of turns of screw.

As resume, love all this Outworld civil war, and as Mileena fan I would to point the follow (and speculate):
Mileena's allies:
- Reiko, who is probably to betray her;
- Goro, and I want to add: Kintaro and probably the shokan people, all the shokan uprising stuff.
-Rain;
-Mavado and the Red Dragon. Can all the cyberninja stuff lead us toward Sektor?

Mileena's foes:
-Kotal Kahn; D'vorah, Ferra/Torr, Erron Black and Reptile. About Reptile, I would suggest Kotal Kahn promises him to restore her ancient race and possibly kingdom. This is interesting, coz Kotal looks like the type of guy who WANT to retribute his people, not like Kahn. The promise of Kotal Kahn is probably a true promise. ITW, we coul speculate Black Dragon are aligned with Kotal Kahn?

I doubt Mileena thinks Reiko is sleeping with her because he actually likes her lol im sure she is aware that he has some sort of ulterior motive.

Not an unreasonable complaint considering her role in the story.

She isn't on kotal's level. Hes far more intellectual and savy. Thats an insult to kotal to think she could really be on his level.
