Speaking of this latest issue (just read it), it seems to be hinted at that Erron has or wants something more to do with the girls and/or the parents than just being their kidnapper for no apparent reason. I really think his story in-game will tie in with Cassie and her parents somehow.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Never, not ever in the history of MK have I been this dazzled by a cast of characters. I fucking love this roster.

Kung Jin has two variations that are perfectly suitable for Jade. Oh wow.

That's very true. He may receive a lot more hate because of this. A lot of people aren't impressed with him to begin with. I like him though.

Jade will forever live on through Kitana.

Unfortunately, that's not exactly comforting for poor Jade fans. If Sonya were to "live on" through Cassie, I know quite a few people who'd have a conniption fit. Crisis averted this time.


Speaking of which, a couple things popped into my head (and since the thread was rescued from the second page, I'll post!)

1. I guess it's generally accepted at this point that NRS knew what they wanted to do with the next game even as MK9 was being produced? I mean, that's the reason only Johnny and Sonya survived?

2. Her fight with Quan Chi glanced in the Family trailer; when the hell is that gonna take place? She's wearing the NetherRealm War outfit, but the breakdowns of Chapter 1 make no mention of that fight.

Not that I particularly care for her but it seems like D'vorah has fallen into irrelevancy already. I get that she was one of the first characters shown so they got her out of the way already but when was the last time she was even used as a punching bag for variations? The one and only time she was used recently was Test Your Luck.

We didn't see many things that happened according to the comics. Given that scene I would say Sonya will be the one to free Jax and Kung Lao. We also didn't see Kenshi saving Scorpion.

Her chapter seems to be set both in the beggining and during the 25 years mark.

A lot of characters haven't been used recently. They are only picking who they been practicing with which as of now is mileena ermac and Kano. They got smarter and just pick the character twice to show off the variations faster

They at least vary who is going to be the punching bag a bit aside from Raiden being it at least once most of the time. Even Ferra/Torr has been getting more love in that regard. I don't even like D'vorah and it was just an observation.

Good call, he's hatless in two variations. But he doesn't have that awesome comic hair unfortunately. Still looks cool though.

I know right! They really thought of everything. I love that they even consider people who may not know much about MK or be new to the franchise. Like how NRS said that the story touches on the events that took place in MK9 so that everyone is all caught up. That's so awesome!

I think, in Multiplayer and Online, both players should be required to press Start in order to skip a cutscene. They're just too damn good. I want to collect them all!
