Anyone else have a greater apprecation for scorpion after reading the comics? He was always kind of a meh character for me but the books have made me like him a lot more.

I never liked Scorpion.......there, I said it!

I take huge offense to him constantly being considered the biggest badass in the franchise. I mean, think about it. His signature moves include a projectile that stuns his opponent for free hits, a teleport and an unblockable move that hits anywhere on the screen. Plus he fights with swords and at the end of the day he's a slave to Quan Chi. How is he badass again?

His story is also extremely repetitive. I feel like it's always a subplot that is forced upon us. It's like: "The Eartrealm warriors join forces against an evil that wants to enslave all realms........meanwhile Scorpion is pissed off somewhere looking for Sub-Zero.

I've never liked Scorpion, either. I wouldn't like anything that is force-fed to me, even if it's good; in Scorpion's case, I'm being spoon-shoved bran oatmeal.

This. The introduction of the fact that reliving his torture is the source of his powers is a big point in his court. I definitely will appreciate him more in this game; not nearly enough to use him, however.

I felt the same way until the comics. He was never a slave to quan chi he agreed to join him and forgeo his humanity for vengence and seeing his human side training takeshi has made me appreciate the character more and see more then just the guy whos pissed off looking for sub.

Scorpion has gotten more character development in the comics so far than he has in like any other game imo. They're making him fucking awesome, I just hope he doesn't fall short in story mode.

Maybe being zombified added the ol' grayish tint to his skin haha. Remember how they all looked like cracked stone statuettes at the end of MK9?

Besides the obvious and original "Mortal Kombat", "Mortal Kombat X" is the greatest title for an MK game ever! Well done NRS, well done.

Agreed. Yo you know how the charcters start taunting when you're just standing there and not pressing any buttons? Maybe Reptile could bust out the crab stance then lol

Yeah, that stance and Hsu Hao's baby walk used to make me and my friends lose it and laugh for hours.

Reptile would definitely eat inscect lady D'Vorah. It's pretty much the laws of nature.

Thier intimate love life however would probably be disgusting to watch but who knows? I'm sure someone out there would probably find it "hot" lol. Everybody's different.

Does anybody else think that this game is going to feel like MK4?

-Assuming that Shinnok is indeed the boss AND playable, there's that
-Scorpion finds out who his real enemy is
-weapons (for some characters) and interactables are back (Tanya hurling a huge rock at you in MK4 comes to mind)
-Goro
-the possible inclusions of Reiko, Tanya and Fujin

I really think so and I love it! Speaking of Fujin:

I feel like Raiden's going to finally pass the torch in this game and who better than Fujin? He chose Fujin in MK4 afterall. That said, shouldn't this almost guarantee his inclusion in MKX?
